Grabbed a quick bite at one of the oldest restaurants felt like taking a history class about the town! The Sicilian server could explain each dish very well with humor. The food was quite flavorful. Sitting on the side way in a sunny day was the best way for a business lunch!

Staff: 5/5 very friendly and courteous but very busy and sometimes hard to get their attention. Food: 2/5 There is complimentary bread with olive oil to start. The caprese ($12) was okay, exactly what you would expect. Guys, the seafood linguini ($38) is SMALL. The pasta is al dente with almost no white in the center. Now for my main gripe is regarding the truffle ravioli ($30). I specifically asked in advance for my ravioli to be cooked thoroughly with no white in the middle. What came out was an undercooked ravioli that was still partly raw and white as I had received in other restaurants. So I hated to do it but I had to send it back. The flavor was slightly sweet and delicious, but when I received the redo, it was still undercooked and now super salty, probably because of the parmesan that was added and the sauce being reduced. The staff was so busy I didn't even bother sending it back. For the price you are charging, this was unacceptable quality and behavior from the chef. We each had a glass of wine and this came out to be a $130+ meal before tips.

Fake olive oil. They serve canola oil to cut costs.

Based on my previous experience and it was getting late in the evening I called Roma for a late reservation at 8:30 PM for three of us. My two friends were from Italy so I wanted to share with them some nice Italian food. The server was fabulous. His name I believe was Will and he was so delightful and charming and efficient. The first problem we had was when the little dish of "olive oil" came to the table with the hot bread. My Italian friend looked at that and said "that is not olive oil" I was shocked and I said I'm sure it is this is an Italian restaurant" I did not taste it but I called the waiter over and asked him what is this. He said it is olive oil. I said could you show us the bottle. He complied but he brought out a large plastic container that said canola oil on it. I told the server that canola oil is not olive oil and he said he was very sorry this is what they serve. So if you're expecting olive oil with your warm bread this is not the place. Bring your own olive oil. My salmon was delicious. Highly recommend the salmon and my friend had the penne pasta which was also delicious.

Reservations were made for a party of 6 in advance for a an elderly special birthday!! We were promptly seated which was the only thing that was done in a timely fashion. Waited 1hour 20 minutes for our meal to show up. The server kept telling us the meal will be served shortly and nothing happened, another 15-30 minutes we would ask about our entrees and the same response!!! The Roma Fettuccine was too creamy, the rack of lamb was too well done, the eggplant Parmesan was bland and the service was non existent. The flourless chocolate cake was a pure chunk of chocolate, panna cotta was just OK!! Tiramisu was heavy and not light, fluffy nor authentic!! Icing on the cake was the 20% tip included in the check!! Will never be back nor will I be able to recommend them! Not sure how they have a 4/5 rating!! We saw another elderly couple just stand up and leave when their meal was served super late as well, so it was not only us!!!

I was pretty disappointed with Roma given the positive reviews they had on Yelp. I went on a Saturday night with a friend and we got the carbonara, seafood pasta, and tiramisu. The carbonara was super salty and had no flavor. The seafood in the seafood pasta was not fresh and had an artificial tomato as well. The tiramisu was not bad but also not superb. The service was also really slow..

Parking is bit limited, but I was able to find parking a Saturday afternoon, since the other businesses did not have too much going on. Once you enter this space you will see a massive wall of tins to your right, and to your left there will a be a fridge with beer and other drinks. Also to your left a beautiful bar, that it's soft color palette will make you smile. We were greeted and helped by the owner. She used to work on HR and now she is following her passion. She is so friendly, and such a great host, that it almost felt like I was visiting a long term friend's business. Now the menu it's extensive with tins from Portugal, Spain, and many other places. Highly recommend that you consider making it a boards because the bread is so yummy. She made recommendations on wine pairings, but of course you pick. It was such a cool experience to pick tins, and chill by the bar. Super cool concept. If you are a fish lover this place is a must visit.

Eylan is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and is related to Copra and Ettan. Parking was easy underneath the restaurant and was plentiful. The vibes of the restaurant was high end. Opted for the main dining room. It seemed like they also featured bar and perhaps outdoors seating too. Service throughout the meal was delightful. Started off with the green grape chaas along with the heirloom salad. Both were a light and refreshing way to start off the meal. The Eylan eye bread course was very fragrant with the black truffle. The bread was lighter and fluffier on previous visits. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was surprisingly tasty and fragrant. Portions were generous for a "small plate." The domestic wagyu ribeye was decent, although it came out more of a medium well. The lamb chops may have been the highlight of the meal. This also came out towards medium well. Evvia lamb chops are definitely much better. The black cod entree came out towards the drier side, which was a bummer. Ended off the meal with the Eylan celebration treat, a dark chocolate mousse dessert which was a tasty way to finish off the meal. ~$220/head after tax, gratuity, and 3% wellness surcharge for dinner.

We were seated in the bar area at some tables. The bar is impressive. It's filled to the ceiling with different bottles. We felt like we had to try a cocktail to start. Our bartender was great and even went off menu for some of our drinks. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Once we were seated we got some appetizers to get us started. We ordered chickpea panisse, French onion soup, goat cheese mousse, and the apple salad. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the chickpea panisse. It looked like fried tofu, but it was so delicately soft in the center. The aioli that came with it was great too. My second favorite was the goat cheese mousse. It was beautifully presented and a good balance of flavors. For main dishes, we got a variety of things. We got salmon, hanger steak, flat iron steak, and poulet roti. Everything was delicious. I think the flat iron steak was preferred over the hanger, but both were good. I thought the chicken was delicious. It seemed braised with a lot of flavor. It was a generous portion with a large salad. It was very well done. We also got a couple of sides of macaroni and cheese. Those didn't disappoint. They came in hot iron skillets and were hearty and delicious. For dessert we got the mousse au chocolat. The mousse with ice cream was a great combination. The dessert was well balanced. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff was great, the food was delicious, and the vibe was fun.

Parker house rolls were fresh and tasty, although not spectacular. The wildflower butter tasted about the same as regular butter. 2. French onion soup was very pleasant, highly recommended. It had a strong taste of (1) something resembling wine must and (2) a meat stock, although I wasn't entirely sure. 3. Roasted chicken was good, maybe not as good as at Sekoya in terms of juiciness, but not dry either, especially with the jug of juice. The chicory salad served alongside it was delightful, however, and one of my favourite parts of the meal. 4. The duck was somewhat small and drier than the usual Chinese style. I did like the demi glace sauce and the rutabaga garnish. 5. The 12oz dry aged rib eye was tasty, with a beautiful crust, but the interior again was a little drier than I would hope for medium rare. Again, the bordelaise sauce was very good. We all loved the aioli that was served alongside the French fries. 6. The side of cooked beans was the main disappointment. The beans themselves didn't taste of much, and the dish as a whole was only rescued by the generous serving of marcona almonds. 7. The grits were decently good. Overall, the meal was an enjoyable dining experience and I would recommend Zola, especially as this style of cooking is becoming less common and squeezed out by restaurants serving more aggressively-flavoured dishes.
