Done with this place. They are raising their prices and skimping on the portions. Several months ago, I ordered 3 Veal Parmigiana heros, sorry, subs. They cut up 2 cutlets and spread them out between the 3.Then, they dumped a bunch of sauce and mozzarella on to hide it. There should be 2-3 cutlets per sub. We stopped buying veal from them. Today, I bought 3 baked ziti dinners at $19/each. Here's what I got, 3 kid sized dinners. 6" tins instead of the normal 10/12" tins. I also ordered 6 meatballs and they were terrible. It was like biting into musty water. The bread was stale. We spent $80 today for garbage. Never again. There used to be good cooks there, but now it's a bunch of kids. read more

Dealing with their service it seems their staff has a little rude and it seems that there's constantly problems with their telephone like either you get hung up on or you get directed to this answering service. That sounds like a fax. I don't know if it's just a they constantly have bad cellular communications, or it's just that the employees don't want to deal with the customer at the time that's calling the phone instead of saying can you please hold they just hang up the phone I don't know what's going on but there's definitely something going on with the phones read more

If I was able to put negative stars I would. The service is horrible, every experience has been horrible. When eating in the restaurant, the waitress took almost 20 minutes to take our drink order, and she was nowhere to be seen most of the time. We just ordered takeout, and they said it was going to be a 40 minute wait. We get there after 40 minutes, and they haven't even started on our food. The WORST service I have ever experienced and will never go there again. I HIGHLY recommend going to a different restaurant if you're craving Italian food because Roma's is not it. read more

Not consistent. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it's not. Pizza could be cooked perfectly or undercooked.

My son and I ordered separate meals to go. When we arrived at home, we discovered our meals which were supposed to contain calamari didn't have any calamari. I called back immediately and they told me they would have the manager contact me. They never did. I called a second time, again I was promised the manager would call me back to remedy this. Roma has an excellent menu with the best prices and all meals are spectacular always a pleasure to dine there.

Hadn't been to Roma's since before the pandemic and was very happy to be back. Kaydence, our exceptionally friendly, efficient, and attentive server, made our evening very pleasant. And Roma's food has never been better, from their famous freshly baked dinner rolls to their outstanding salads and generous and hearty entrees. We had driven a long time and were tired. We walked in, expecting a limited menu, and mainly pizza. We were wrong. The menu had all the basics and then some. The portions were huge (it took 3 meals to finish). The food is fresh and well prepared. The chicken cutlets are well fried. The pasta is excellent and the sauce is tasty. The meatballs were hearty. I stopped for a slice of pizza and threw in some fried mushrooms. Pizza crust was fresh and thin, sauce was tasty (I don't like sauce that tastes more like tomato paste), and toppings were plentiful. My waitress was attentive and friendly with some really neat tattoos. This was a warm and good place to escape the cold rain outside on a Saturday at lunchtime. read more

Was recently in Sidney to visit family and we came here for dinner. Have been to this restaurant in every incarnation of it since it was a Hardys The staff is very friendly and the service was very good. Very large portions. The food was good but not best Italian ever. The garlic knots are out of this world and pizza is delicious. Wine list not the best but affordable. Not many choices in Sidney but glad this is one of them. read more

If I could leave Zero stars I would! This USED to be a great place to eat and I never had a complaint. We stopped going because of a change in the management but went back tonight as it was too hot to cook at home. Tried to order Mozzarella sticks.. Nope they are out. Ordered a Sicilian Pizza... see pictures of what their idea of that is. I would have been better off getting a Digiorno pizza at Price chopper and heating it up at home! Did NOT taste good either! Heard decent things about this place. I had their pizza & wings, and neither was impressive. Granted, you can't expect too much from upstate pizza, but still. The pizza was limp and soggy. My mother, and a family friend stopped in while visiting Sidneys shopping stores, We have never eaten here before, the place ok, service was good, however two of us order manicotti, OH my, It was so strong of a wine in the sauce that we know the min, we smelled it that's what it was. We tasted it and it was so strong it was like licking the top of a old wine bottle. I think we could have gotten drunk from smelling of it alone. We did ask the waitress if it had wine in it and she clearly stated no, no chance of that, well $18 down the drain because neither of us could eat it. It was really bad and told her we couldn't eat it, when bringing it home we had other people taste it and they all said how there is no way they could have eaten it. My husband and I went here for a dinner date. The food portions were large, but the food was very average and nothing memorable. The restaurant itself was very dark, and the kitchen/check-out portion of the restaurant (also the entrance, and if we'd noticed this prior to eating, we would have turned around and left) was dirty, greasy, and grungy. It was no surprise that after eating, both my husband and I ended up sick. We've had their pizza and it was not good either. Very greasy, the crust was not appetizing, and the sauce was too bitter and left us with heartburn. We will never be back to this restaurant, and we will not be eating their pizza, either. read more

Was in town for 4th of July and came here for dinner with family. Very nice eat-in restaurant with a liquor license so you can get beer (bottle or tap) or wine with your food. ( I get sick to death of the counter service joints with nothing but bottled soda). Pizza is excellent...we had the meatball pizza...not greasy, crust was just as I like it nice and brown on bottom and chewy inside..perfect. Garlic knots were great too...(could use a little more garlic, some Parmesan cheese would be a nice touch) but very happy with the food and atmosphere. Waitress was very nice and very attentive, I would definitely come here again to try the pasta, it looked fabulous and huge portions. read more

Stopped on our way back from Cape Cod. Service was excellent. My family of 3 ordered antipasto, garlic knots, a piece of plain pizza and a calzone. We barely put a dent in it. The portions are huge, so we had to take a lot home. Italian dressing is perfect. Everything was on point! read more

I always had a fairly good meal here before the Pandemic it was one of my favorite places to go. Decided to give them my business today for my Mother and myself On Mothers' Day.! I ordered spaghetti meatballs for us each. She said it would take 45 minutes. I arrive 45 minutes later and I sat and waited & waited another 20 minutes while the girl taking other peoples orders on two different phones, who also was the same girl taking money from different people coming in and out, and was the same girl who picked up Stromboli and calzones from the case with no gloves and putting them in the oven. No one there was wearing masks, Or gloves. There was a young boy going in and out with no protection, not sure if he was taking out pizzas to people in the parking lot or what. I saw no sanitizing on the counters in between customers. While the same girl was on the phone most of the time, people started piling in. There was probably nine people waiting in and I'd already been there for several minutes I finally had to ask when my food is going to be ready. Apparently she forgot it. I was getting uncomfortable with the amount of people I. There by now. Then when we had our meal at home I could not believe how disgusting it tasted. The spaghetti itself tasted like it been sitting in water for days, there was hardly any sauce on our spaghetti and meatballs were tasteless. The wise diner will heed the warnings about poor customer service! I was in yesterday merely to pick up two pies I had preordered. When the customer in front of me was done, the telephone rang. The young man running the register answered it without ever even making eye contact with me. After about 5 minutes it was clear to me from the conversation and the way the guy was scrolling through the database in the register calling out dollar amounts to the person on the phone, the he was taking to an owner or a manager. This went on for 15 minutes! I was in a hurry, I had purposefully preordered the pizzas and could see them clearly sitting on top of the oven; and I had to wait until the employee and the owner had their business meeting! The entire time I stood there, the guy on the phone would not acknowledge me, nor would either of the other two employees. The counter guy was also unprofessional in appearance wearing a flat brimmed hat with a sticker on it (tres chic) and his old softball jersey he was wearing had part of the decal hanging halfway off, flapping in the breeze until I'm assuming it had half a chance to fall off into the food. It is clear that there is an absentee owner here. It's sad because this place used to be decent years ago. The pizza itself was heavy and doughy; nowhere close to befitting the namesake. When I got to where I was going with the pies, my mom said "Oh we never go there, I don't want that stuff." Oh well. read more

Were in town for a baseball tournament. Had the Tour of Italy. Was fantastic ! Plate portions are enormous i suggest that you share a plate if you can. Out table was very pleased. Meals were succulent and as I mentionned plentyful. The homemade chocolate cheesecake was to die for. Will definitely go back with the whole baseball team. Saw the pizza pies passing around. I have eaten here a few times over the years and have witnessed the quality of the facility go down and down. The floor is seriously neglected, the whole facility smells like rotting oil and looks drab on the outside. What used to be a good place to eat is slowly deteriorating into a slum style restaurant. My family and I got to the restaurant and the first to greet us was a mouse. We were letting staff know and they did not seem concerned or surprised even after they saw the mouse for themselves. It continued to run passed us so we were ready to leave but we had kids with us that were hungry and on a Sunday nothing else is open in this area. I asked the waitress about the eggplant parmigan and she assured me it was homemade and when it came out it was so hard, swimming in sauce that didn't even have a nice flavor and you could barely cut the eggplant and chew it. I told the waitress and she said o I thought it was made fresh. My sister ordered grilled chicken that was so dry and the broccoli was frozen. It's sad the owner does not take more pride in the restaurant and making people enjoy their dinner. Frozen food is unacceptable when you charge prices like a REAL Italian restaurant DOES. Also when you make the staff aware that the food was a problem and unedible they don't even offer options like other places would. Won't be going back!!! read more

Do not eat here. Uncooked calamari, burned calzone, more grease than pizza. No kids menu. Kind of pricey for such low quality food.
