SO good! We were looking for a place to have dinner after an event in the area. This was next door so we decided to give it a shot. This establishment is a total gem! My wife and I were in the area after celebrating our son's birthday. We couldn't remember the last time we ate Italian so we decided to stop by. After waiting for roughly 35-45 minutes, my family and I were seated and I immediately felt like I was at some Italian grandmother's home. The setting was so cozy and intimate! It was perfect for a Saturday night! I started off with the Wedding Soup and the Roman Salad (don't judge me haha). The wedding soup was so savory and inviting. I could've stopped there. The Roman Salad was light, fresh, crisp, and covered in cheese, just like I like it. My wife ordered the Sautéed Mushrooms for her appetizer. When I say "Must Get" I mean "Must Get". Absolutely Phenomenal! It was so rich and creamy and it was seasoned to perfection! I ordered Chicken Parm and Spaghetti as my entree and it did not disappoint. When we want a special treat for the family we go here. I have been here several times with different family and like the atmosphere and the food is always good. My favorite is the chicken Parm with fettuccine Alfredo. It's night for 2 meals for me. My husband got the sirloin parm and the flavor was excellent . Wow! First time dining at this restaurant and had such an amazing experience. My husband and I knew it would be busy since it's Valentine's weekend but we managed to get two seats at the bar while we waited for a table. The bartender Denise is the cutest and funniest thing ever!!! It was so busy and we must've been annoying asking all these questions about the drinks and food menu but she was so friendly and so helpful. Even though she knew we were waiting on a table she consisted checked on us to make sure we were good and we eventually opted to eat at the bar. She was the main one who took care of us but let us know the other bartender's name (Junior) and told us we could go to either for anything we needed. They are a great team and he also checked on us and gave us waters and refills without even asking us. Like I said it was busssssy, but we still got some bread, drinks, and food in such a timely manner. We had the lobster ravioli special and chicken parm and oh my god.... I wish I took a picture but that would not do the food justice, thats how freaking delicious it was. Not to mention the pricing for what you get is damn good. There are a bunch of regulars it seems as both the bartenders knew most of the patrons names and chatted with them even though they were so busy. We chit chatted several of them plenty throughout the night and honestly makes us want to be regulars (I mean we definitely will be coming back). I went this past Saturday 5/2 as a new customer with my mother. 1st off the restaurant has a nice interior and a good atmosphere to it. Our server was quite bland and not really interactive with us, which we didn't mind at first. Then as we ordered and got our basic salad that comes with our entree before our food came out, we ate it which had a decent flavor to it. Unfortunately, as my mother was almost done with her salad she found a broken toothpick, which is not only unsanitary but also dangerous if someone were to consume that. Thankfully she caught it, and when she told our server he apologized but didn't seem fazed by it and didn't pay it any mind at all. We were shocked that he just dismissed it and that it seemed that he thought it was a small inconvenience. Previous restaurants we have visited over the past years that may have had something wrong with their order or it was messed up, the staff would be greatly apologetic and offer a compensation for their mistake (which we weren't really expecting compensation or anything of that sort). This establishment did nothing other than apologize twice (almost forcibly and nonchalantly) when we reinstated that dangerous mistake and went on with their day. My mother was in disbelief and called the day after, on Sunday 5/3, and the staff member who answered her dismissed it again and said "that may happen, and we are going to let the kitchen staff know." How are you going to say that that accident may happen and basically dismiss it again, without a care in the world?? He also stated that the reason no manager came up to apologize for their mistake was because "the server said you guys didn't seem upset," what kind of policy is it to where you go based off of how people look and what emotion they're presenting, to determine whether you come to see us and apologize or not??? That statement is pretty ridiculous for ANY establishment to say and go based off of. That situation would be upsetting just for anyone and they should be grateful we didn't cause an uproar or a scene like others may cause if they were in our shoes. When my mother said that it was disappointing and that she's going to leave a bad review for their lack of safety and care for their customers, it was finally when the staff member offered to give a gift card. How pitiful, that you are going to offer a gift card so you don't receive a bad review after not showing any sympathy beforehand? We of course didn't want nor accept the gift card, all we were wanting before calling and during the call was to hear some sort of care, regret, or sympathy for their mistake and dismissal of the safety hazard. 2/10 experience. Their chicken parm spaghetti was decent, but lacked flavor. I was planning to eat there for a while so this is unfortunate and disappointing how this establishment is run and how things ended. For starters- I really appreciate David from Roman Cucina reaching out to make things right. A lot of places don't care enough to get feedback to improve so this really meant a lot to me. Because of this- my husband and I gave this spot another try last night. Our waitress was Grace- she was quick, friendly, and her as well as the rest of the team was awesome about bringing out more bread as well as tea. The bread we were brought out was perfect- it was warm and soft. Zero complaints. We then ordered our meal and had salads that tasted fresh. We started out with some calamari. It was smoking hot and absolutely delicious. He ordered the Gianni and I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with Milanese chicken. He LOVED his plate. My fettuccine had a thick creamy sauce and honestly the Milanese here is absolutely delicious and my favorite part. We ended on a sweet note with cannoli and that was a solid 10/10. Came here for a date night, it was recommended by one of our friends who went to the Dallas location. This was a cute little Italian spot for us to have dinner.  Service: They do not take reservations for two unfortunately. It was informed to me over the phone and during the time we were coming that we would not have much of a wait. However, when we got there they said it was about a 15-minute wait. We sat at the bar and got some drinks. If I did not have good company with me, I would not have noticed that we were waiting for about 35 minutes to get our table. Our server was kind of confused, she was probably new there. But she was not sure about anything on the menu when we asked her for some recommendations.  Food: To start off they provide bread for the table with butter, however we had to ask multiple times to get a refill on the bread once it was finished.  - Sautéed Mushrooms (5/10): We ordered the mushrooms as appetizers, I thought it would be large mushrooms that was sautéed in olive oil, white and lemon garlic sauce. However, it was chopped mushrooms that was doused the sauces. I was not a fan of this, but my gf seemed to enjoy it with her dish and dipping the bread in the sauce. For me, it was a bit too salty and overwhelming. But I have different taste buds than everyone else, so someone else might like this. - Pesto Pasta (6/10): This pasta is seasoned with basil garlic sauce, with pine nuts. You have to pay extra to add a type of meat in there, so be aware if you are on a budget. We added chicken to ours. This was pretty good. I believe it was missing some extra flavor and veggies, which is why we used the sautéed mushrooms and red pepper flakes to add some flavor to it.  - Shrimp Speziato (5/10): Don't get too excited about this dish. Although it sounds delicious, I believe it could have been prepared better. This includes shrimp that is sautéed with tomatoes, peppers, onions, broccoli, mushrooms, and basil all mixed together with a bianco diavola sauce. Don't get me wrong, it was a pretty decent dish that can be kind of filling. However, I believe if they were to serve this was a carb dish like pasta then it would have had a higher rating. Just having the shrimp itself was not doing anything. It was technically supposed to be spicy, but I believed it lacked the seasoning it needed. read more

We did to-go and the quality was still amazing. Really love the gianni bc it has a slight kick to it and it is not dry. We had them sub in scallops with the shrimp bc they were out of the langostino lobster. The alfredo was very cream, deep, and rich. Also it comes with salad and bread. My brother was visiting and he absolutely adores Italian food. Sadly, the Dallas isn't really known for their Italian food. Roman Cucina was absolutely slammed on a Thursday evening, and we can see why! The parking lot was full, and we had to wait about 20 minutes. They do not take reservations so be sure to prepare accordingly! The food is delicious, and the service is spectacular. I was craving pasta one night and wanted to try a new place since I keep going to the same Italian spot over and over again, and I'm so glad I found Roman Cucina on Yelp. They have a really extensive menu, so I had an incredibly hard time deciding on what to order. The restaurant itself is really large, so there are plenty of seats. Regardless, it was still packed on a Thursday evening, so I went to sit at the bar by myself. Service was great! The bartender was really attentive and kind, and he kept asking me what else I needed. I saw from pictures that I should order their mozzarella garlic bread, and it came out really quickly. The price was great for how many pieces I got. I also ordered a pasta, which was pretty good and also had a huge portion size. My favorite was their lemon cheesecake. The other visitors next to me were exclaiming over how good the dessert was, and they were absolutely right. It was probably one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had, and I'm not even a cheesecake fan. The cream and texture were perfect, and it was also somehow light and decadent. I love how they give free bread and salad, and both were delicious. I heard they make the salad dressing in-house, and you can tell. The bread was actually wonderful. It was so light and fluffy, and putting on even a little bit of butter made the bread taste 10x better. I highly recommend Roman Cucina. Hands down the best Italian restaurant that I have been to in Dallas! Upscale nice decor however don't feel obligated to dress up you will feel comfortable in jeans or a dress. I have been here multiple times and each and every time has not disappointed. A few items that we have ordered were the mozzarella garlic bread with melted mozzarella served with red sauce, garden salad-romaine lettuce tossed in red wine vinaigrette with cucumbers and red onion, caprese salad | buffalo mozzarella, roma tomatoes and fresh basil tossed with olive oil and garlic. The pasta dishes that we have ordered have always been off of the menu such as the Ravioli with sun dried tomatoes, and the Chicken Marsala. Thank you yelp, I found this restaurant to check out with a friend of mine. The restaurant is huge with plenty of tables. We started off with the garlic mozzarella bread and the calamari. The bread was amazing full with flavor and definitely a big portion to split between a few people. The marinara sauce wasn't anything special, but it was good. The calamari was really good as well. We decided to split the pesto penne pasta with grilled shrimp. The portions are big, so it's enough to split between people or have leftovers. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a while. My friend wanted to try the eggplant parm, so she ordered it as an appetizer. It was tasty. We had to roll ourselves out of the restaurant.
