The restaurant is now under new management and has been renamed Niki's Restaurant. We ordered the Diavolo with chicken, Pasta Primavera, and a medium cheese pizza. The complimentary bread was served warm and tasted delicious with butter. Both the Diavolo and Primavera were excellent--flavorful and well-prepared. Visited Saturday night. Two guitarist were wonderful but loud as our table was nearby. I could only speak with my end of the table. Not enjoyable at all in that regard. Service was good as the place was filling up. Manicotti and chicken dishes were good. My salmon piccata was not fresh (I understand we are in N Tx...) and over-cooked, and vegetables were a hodgepodge and uninteresting. Stuffed mushrooms with crab again... nothing special. Bread served with the meal is spun like a loaf of white bread turned into a pinwheel. Meh. Many tables around us ate pizza. I'm not from this area, but a friend recommended Napoli's Italian restaurant on McDermott Road. The website listed two locations and apparently the menu and prices are different. I had clicked the McDermott location, but was looking apparently at their other location. My friend had apparently found the online menu for McDermot and noticed there was no meatball sub. So I called and asked them if they had a meatball sub and how big were the meatballs. The person answered, said that they were very big and they could do a meatball sub, but didn't mention the price. When we arrived, we noticed the front of the restaurant said Nikki's Bistro, while the side referenced Napoli. We ordered a chicken Parmesan sub, a meatball sub, a kids' ravioli with Alfredo sauce, and an additional side of marinara. At this location, the subs were $15.95 each, the kids' meal was $8.95, and the additional marinara sauce was $4, big price difference between the two locations with the same exact food. I did speak with the manager regarding the price difference and he just explained it was two different locations. Unfortunately, once we got the food home, we were very disappointed. The meatballs were very small and, based on their appearance and texture, appeared to be store bought small frozen meatballs. The meatballs and sauce had no flavor. The kids' ravioli portion consisted of only two relatively small ravioli. The chicken Parmesan sub was also disappointing and did not meet our expectations for the price. The packaging was another issue. The subs were placed in silver trays with plastic lids, but they were not secured properly. The marinara sauce container had also apparently not been sealed correctly and had spilled. The Alfredo sauce from the ravioli had spilled as well. Overall, the meal did not live up to the expectations created by the restaurant's presentation as an authentic Italian establishment. For approximately $50, I expected significantly better quality, portions, and flavor. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this restaurant is not it. Save your money. I looked up the restaurant on a business search. The owner is NASER NEZIRI, definitely not Italian. read more

I thought my friend Joe was taking us for pizza/sub sandwich! From outside the restaurant, it looked like that. What a nice surprise when I walked into the restaurant. The waiter (from Kosovo) was fabulous, the food was great, not fast food!!!! I had the Chicken Alfredo, and it was delicious, with the sauce not too thick. Niki's was amazing and Arber took the best care of our group. I reserved the private room for my mom's Celebration of Life. Before the event, Arber made sure we had every thing we needed. As guests arrived, he offered them something to drink. Arber and his team made sure each guest was taken care of. The food was Amazing. We had mozzarella balls, cheese sticks, stuffed mushrooms, pizza, calamari, chicken wings, drinks from the bar. Each item prepared with upmost care. They were very accommodating. The service was perfect, the food amazing, the room was perfect for our group. The room is completely separate with a door dividing the space. They allowed us to bring in our own decorations, and they provided candles for each table. We had about 25 people but the room was big enough for more people. Chef Arber, a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, knows how to put out culinary masterpieces that dazzle the taste buds. His experience included working for five years at a Michelin two star restaurant in Manhattan. Chef Arber is friendly and outgoing and spent some time visiting with us. My wife had a Caesar salad followed by chicken piccata. The chicken was tender and juicy enhanced by the lemon, butter, and caper sauce. These sat atop perfectly cooked pasta. I had a mixed green salad with the most tantalizing red salad dressing. I had spaghetti and meat sauce. I asked if he could give me an arrabiata sauce, which he did, and he definitely brought out the full flavor of the tomatoes, onions, garlic, and spices. We completed our meal with the most delicate, freshly made tiramisu.It was so light, we could barely keep it from rising off the plate into our mouths. I of course read the Yelp reviews to see what my fellow yelpers had to say and it was mostly thumbs up. To share we ordered the garlic bread...yummers there was the perfect amount of garlic and cheese made to perfection! plenty left overs. Garden salad, and the chicken fettucine alfredo... the alfredo sauce was creamy with the perfect ratio to noodles, and the chicken was flavored to perfection. And my favorite strawberry cheesecake. Family had lunch here to celebrate my granddaughter's 12th birthday. The food was very good, I had Dama Bianca, chicken with sauteed mushrooms, gluten free pasta and Alfredo sauce. It was absolutely delicious! We had an assortment of appetizers that were very good. My whole family enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere is typical Italian restaurant, nothing remarkable. Our waitress was rather quiet but very efficient. The only thing I didn't like was the cannoli, rather than having a nice blend of sweetened ricotta cheese it was more of a gooey over sweet sticky cream of some sort. My guest and I were looking to try different place today and decided on this establishment. It's located at the corner of Independence and McDermott next to the nail salon. It's very cozy and well lighted. The menu had so many different items. The only thing about the item I didn't care for was that they serve veal and for a personal reason, I usually avoid establishment which serves veal. We were seated by a server who I thought looked like Ashley Graham and she was quiet, but prompt and attentive. My guest was extremely hungry, so we decided on stuffed mushroom for an appetizer, chicken parmigiana for him and linguine Sicilian style(?)(capers, artichokes, mushrooms in a lemon sauce and it's listed as vegan). We were pleasantly surprised how good the mushroom appetizer was. My Sicilian linguine was very tasty, but I was filled up on bread and mushroom, so I had to take it home, My hungry guest was getting full after eating almost all the mushroom appetizer and bread, so he took his food to go. The portion was big! When Ashley Graham look alike server asked us if we wanted any dessert, we said yes and got a tiramisu. I had a sweet tea and I thought it was good. For those of you who consume alcohol, they' have a full bar. My second time here for lunch. The portions were large enough for me to take half home. We enjoyed everything including the kids plain cheese pizza. The only disappointment was the free bread.
