I've been coming to Eureka Stars for years, and after today's lunch I finally decided it was time to leave a review. I had their bacon cheeseburger, and it was absolutely perfect. As a mom who loves a good bacon cheeseburger, this place has always been one of my favorites. In fact, when I was pregnant with my now 12-year-old son, I think I was there at least twice a week satisfying my burger cravings. The food is consistently delicious, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. Everyone is always so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It's the kind of place where you're greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home. Thank you for years of great food, great service, and great memories. I'll definitely be back for another bacon cheeseburger soon! read more

This is for Stars Hamburgers in Eureka. The last three times the cheeseburgers have been inadequate. Each time the burger was dry and overcooked. The last two times (late October 2025 and November 2025) the bottom bun was ice cold like it had been in the freezer and quickly thawed; there was hardly any onion, one tiny sliver of tomato, the lettuce was wilted. i ordered a cheeseburger and it came out without cheese. I brought this to the attention of the employees and was told they have new prep cooks. They offered to melt cheese on the grill and put it on my hamburger which I had already eaten a third of. Sad to see the quality decline in the last year. It's not worth the over 14 dollars you must pay for a cheeseburger and fries plus drink. read more

Eureka stars makes a very good burger. That couple was great service makes us a good experience. The burger I had was made good and in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a combo with some Cajun fries in the Cajun fries were a little too spicy, but that's my fault for ordering Cajun fries. Overall, the experience was great definitely recommend. read more

The Eureka Star is the best (not to be confused with the Stars in Arcata which is a different owner and not as good) and has burgers made with grass fed beef The staff are a delight and all in all this is a great place to go to for good food and good vibes. Classic Burgers with quick service! We stopped in right before closing and there was a line of about 4 people waiting to order at the counter. It moved very quickly and we were able to order in no time. Not only that, but our food cam out super fast as well! We ordered a Bacon a cheeseburger and another with Bacon and Avocado and both hit the spot. Good ol' comfort food. We ordered them as a combo and got fries and drinks along with it, which were filled to the brim! Almost needed another basket just for the "half order" of fries. All in all it's good value and good quality compared to some of the expensive hipster burger joints. Will definitely be back. There is limited parking in the front but plenty of street parking. There are a handful of table inside to dine at but a lot of people were ordering to go or picking up orders. A good alternative as well. read more

My go-to burger joint here in Eureka! If you want a simple but delicious burger, fries, and shake, this is your place. It's a small squeaky clean establishment with walk up counter service, ADA compliant. There's only a few tables (maybe 8?) So I would call ahead for pick up during peak hours. The service is always fast and friendly. I skim the menu each time only to get either the bacon cheeseburger or blue cheese burger. The patty is moist and I like the soft bun it comes in. Love their simple fries, the large order is good for two. This time around we tried the Cajun Fries instead of our usual regular fries. They were good, I just wish the fries were shaken in Cajun seasoning instead of just sprinkling the seasoning on top. read more

I came here for lunch with my friend. I ordered a large fry, root beer float, and a jalapeno swiss burger. The large fry was actual a really good size. I probably should have ordered a small for myself. The fries were good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The root beer float was a good size as well. They use dryer's ice cream for it and put it in a cute sundae cup. The burger was good. It comes with the same preset condiments on every burger so check that out before you order to make sure you don't get ones you don't want. I ordered my burger with no mayo. The burger was juicy, filling, and scrumptious. Even the bun was good. My only complaint would be please toast/grill the bun! I will definitely come back here. read more

When I lived in Eureka I used to love to go to Stars for their chicken salad with pita. The dressing is homemade and while it is honey-mustard, it is more like a dill dressing to me. But it's delicious! Every time I go back home to visit family I get a salad from Stars, mainly because of the dressing! The chicken is seasoned well, the spicy is not spicy so I recommend it for more flavor. Also if you are wanting a milkshake, they make delicious milkshakes! It's very small for seating. So recommend getting your food for takeout, but they do have a couple tables if you'd rather stay and eat. If you are looking for a good burger, yummy milkshake or delicious salad, check out Stars! Seeing the number of glowing reviews my friend and I both agreed to have lunch here. We ordered the burger baskets with large fries and drinks thinking it would be enough to fill our growling stomachs. When our stuff arrived several minutes later we were disappointed to see the burger was only the size of our hands and the fries were slightly overdone. The food was tasty like the ones at any other burger joint but we still felt hungry afterwards. I am glad we chose not to get the extra onion rings, sauces, or extra seasoning because the food was already pricey for what it was worth. When we left the restaurant we found it difficult to back out of the driveway since the customers park their cars so closely to each other in the compact lot. The folks that work at this small eatery are always friendly and busy it seems. It's located literally across the road from the areas main hospital so it can be really busy during the lunch hour, otherwise it's not to hard to get a good burger and fries at a relatively fast turnaround. The burgers are good quality and the fries and onion rings are both quite tasty. Prepared fresh and hot to order. Fresh local produce on the burgers and your choice of cheese if you're so inclined, make it a cheeseburger please... This burger joint is small and it can be packed at times, especially during the lunchtime hours. Alright, first off, I've been coming here once a week to twice a week since I was in Junior High. I'm now in my 30s. I just can't anymore. This place has hit rock bottom! I pay you, you don't pay me. So, The CUCUMBERS were once again missing, must have sprouted legs and ran off before I could open my box of salad. The chicken WASN'T SEASONED SPICY! I mean that's in the title of the dish, clear as day. So, they dumped spice all over the greens. Lmfao really? So, for the last 2 decades you season the chicken then grill it, now you forget the spice so you just dumped it everywhere as an after thought? We aren't in kindergarten putting a bandaid on a mistake. START OVER. Don't make me suffer because you can't get your own dishes right! Pathetic. At one point it got to me having to check every box, every bag to make sure they did their job. Again, I'm paying you. Learn your menu, check your work, START OVER when you mess up, don't try and season my salad greens because YOU forgot to season the chicken. So, I opened this box of salad, it BARELY had any greens in it, couple dices of tomatoes and pita bread with spice dumped on everything and regular grilled chicken. It's pathetic. McDonald's makes a better salad these days folks. And they mess up way less than this place. It's really turned into a dump.
