Its got that drip. This road trip stop hit every mark for a killer burger, shake and fry. My only suggestion is thicker napkins lol

Left: Cheeseburger with grilled onions and no tomato Right: Guacamole with Bacon and Cheese Burger, no onion

Stars has very tasty burgers, feels like a summer picnic in classic American style. Service is friendly and attentive, quick food delivery and a chill relaxed environment with rock music that you can sing along with...you all know the words! My friend was really impressed with his TWO Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburgers, his review, "that was perfect, really amazing, probably what I will get every time!" Five stars for STARS!

My go-to burger joint here in Eureka! If you want a simple but delicious burger, fries, and shake, this is your place. It's a small squeaky clean establishment with walk up counter service, ADA compliant. There's only a few tables (maybe 8?) So I would call ahead for pick up during peak hours. The service is always fast and friendly. I skim the menu each time only to get either the bacon cheeseburger or blue cheese burger. The patty is moist and I like the soft bun it comes in. Love their simple fries, the large order is good for two. This time around we tried the Cajun Fries instead of our usual regular fries. They were good, I just wish the fries were shaken in Cajun seasoning instead of just sprinkling the seasoning on top.

I came here for lunch with my friend. I ordered a large fry, root beer float, and a jalapeno swiss burger. The large fry was actual a really good size. I probably should have ordered a small for myself. The fries were good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The root beer float was a good size as well. They use dryer's ice cream for it and put it in a cute sundae cup. The burger was good. It comes with the same preset condiments on every burger so check that out before you order to make sure you don't get ones you don't want. I ordered my burger with no mayo. The burger was juicy, filling, and scrumptious. Even the bun was good. My only complaint would be please toast/grill the bun! I will definitely come back here.

Best burger in the county hands down. This location specifically is better but I've never had a bad Stars burger.

The restaurant is clean, has an old feeling to it, a little more dim than I would like but nothing that would change my mind about staying. We were seated quickly and the service throughout our whole experience was just amazing. My wife ordered the fried pickles that came with a dipping sauce. These things were quite addictive! They were not as salty as I thought they would be and we enjoyed them all the way to the bottom of the bowl. I ordered the fishwhich with a side of Hawaiian Mac Salad. The sandwich was great! I love that it was breaded and fried but not so overwhelming to where it taste more like batter than fish. The fish was tender and not salty but the presence of the fish taste was prominent and not covered by the batter. The sandwich all in all was the highlight of this meal. I will say I was a little disappointed with the "Hawaiian" Mac salad. As a Pacific Islander, it's always great when we get to have a taste of home. This was indeed Mac salad but not made in the Hawaiian style. It was watery, had cucumber and it did not stick like Hawaiian Mac salad. I did my best to be respectful and finish my plate but it was really hard to eat that macaroni salad. I would love to see this remade into the Hawaiian style that it claims. For dessert, we had the churros with dipping sauce and the white dipping sauce was the absolute best! The chocolate dipping sauce could've been worked on a little more and it was surprisingly watery as well. The churros were something different from the traditional churros that I was used to, but it had good flavor and it stayed together and did not fall apart which I appreciated. All in all we enjoyed our time here being able to have this food, have a great conversation, and receive amazing service. I appreciate most the fact that the server tolerated my sense of humor when I asked her "do we get discounts at The Hood if we are from the 'hood". We will definitely come back here again whenever we are in town.

We were served right away and the hostess was very nice and located at two top for us. The wait person was lovely and immediately accommodating. The menu was interesting and inviting. I had to laugh out loud as there is an item on the menu referencing Pee-wee's Playhouse from my childhood. I even asked if it was a Gen X restaurant and sure enough the chef is of my generation. I'm including a picture so IYKYK! The waitress had shared all of the specials, and I was intrigued by the flat iron steak option. It was a flat iron steak with marsala mushroom sauce, and mushroom risotto and asparagus. It was delightful! The meat was perfectly cooked and tender with a lot of beef flavor, offset by a rich marsala mushroom sauce. It was perfectly complimented by one of the top mushroom risotto I have had in my life. It was delectable. And the grilled asparagus side paired nicely with the beef and marsala sauce. It even had a little bit of lemon on the asparagus, which is my preference for it! Overall, this is probably in the top five of all of the restaurant meals I've had in my life. My husband had the mixed beef burger with fries. He said he really enjoyed the burger, and I did steal a tiny taste, and it was perfectly cooked and had a slight gameness that gave it some depth. My husband said that the bun was very nice as well. The fries were perfectly cooked. The burger was perfectly cooked and it wasn't over juicing nor dry. Overall, a really great burger! Funniest thing we noticed was that all of the chairs that were sitting on a cement floor had been given rubber caps for each of the legs so that when you moved the chair, it didn't make a horrible sound. Literally extra 10 points for that alone! I wish this location well and look forward to stopping in the next time we are in the area.

The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Overall: great food, great beer, quick service, fun atmosphere, and apparently life-changing shrimp tacos. If you're in the area, put Lost Coast Brewery on your list. Just keep an eye on your spouse if they order the shrimp tacos. Apparently that's where things get dangerous.
