I've been coming to Eureka Stars for years, and after today's lunch I finally decided it was time to leave a review. I had their bacon cheeseburger, and it was absolutely perfect. As a mom who loves a good bacon cheeseburger, this place has always been one of my favorites. In fact, when I was pregnant with my now 12-year-old son, I think I was there at least twice a week satisfying my burger cravings. The food is consistently delicious, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. Everyone is always so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It's the kind of place where you're greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home. Thank you for years of great food, great service, and great memories. I'll definitely be back for another bacon cheeseburger soon! read more

Spicey chicken sandwich was good and hubby had the Jalapeño burger that he said was the best he's ever had...I'd skip the onion rings. The batter was thin and sweet so they were soggy and got cold right away. I wouldn't order them again. read more

Don't let the old building fool you. Their food is sooooo good. All made fresh, really sweet employees, and fun atmosphere. I'd go here for a burger over in-n-out any day! read more

Its got that drip. This road trip stop hit every mark for a killer burger, shake and fry. My only suggestion is thicker napkins lol read more

Best burger in the county hands down. This location specifically is better but I've never had a bad Stars burger.

Dude what a tiny gem! Driving by you'd never know this place has been voted Humboldt's Best burger for over 30 years. But it's for sure earned. It was incredible food. And the staff is so warm and welcoming. read more

I had my first Star's burger during my student days at HSU. I'm glad they still have the same charm, the same great food that I remember so fondly. Their Cobb salad and Bleu Cheese burger are all I need after a long day in the forest or by the river. read more

Favorite burger in Humboldt County so far. Better than In N Out... so tasty and fresh. The shakes/malts are great, and fish & chips not bad either. 5 outta 5 stars for Eureka Stars read more

Best burgers we have had in a long long time! We are already talking about going again soon. Kids raved about everything from the fries to the ranch dressing! Best burger in Humboldt so far! read more

Order 2 cheeseburgers with onion rings. Got home, the onion rings were soggy not crunchy, lettuce on the cheeseburger was spoiled, the cheeseburger was not cooked all the way through, read more

Frozen fish was greasy, mushy, and undercooked. Worst ever. Counter help could have cared less and made no effort to rectify with a manager or owner. Left hungry. read more

The fish was frozen, mushy and extremely greasy. Had to throw the entire order in the trash. I would definitely not order fish and chips again read more

Eureka stars makes a very good burger. That couple was great service makes us a good experience. The burger I had was made good and in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a combo with some Cajun fries in the Cajun fries were a little too spicy, but that's my fault for ordering Cajun fries. Overall, the experience was great definitely recommend. read more

A legendary burger joint with a legendary legacy, being voted best burger for 32 years and a wall full of awards. So prestigious that the Krabby Patty from SpongeBob takes inspiration from Starz! It's small, charming with only a couple of seats. The staff is super friendly and the burger choice is broad with a couple of extra items in case beef ain't your calling. The burgers come hot and loaded with the standard toppings and a fair price along with excellent fries and shakes. This place always scratches my burger itch and if I was a Eureka native this would be my weekly dive. read more

The Eureka Star is the best (not to be confused with the Stars in Arcata which is a different owner and not as good) and has burgers made with grass fed beef The staff are a delight and all in all this is a great place to go to for good food and good vibes. I am a long time customer and I shun the endless fast food places on Broadway and am grateful that Stars is here so I can shun the fast food places.Stars has more than burgers. One of my favorites is the chicken pita. read more

Stars has very tasty burgers, feels like a summer picnic in classic American style. Service is friendly and attentive, quick food delivery and a chill relaxed environment with rock music that you can sing along with...you all know the words! My friend was really impressed with his TWO Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburgers, his review, "that was perfect, really amazing, probably what I will get every time!" Five stars for STARS! read more

Eureka Stars Hamburgers - Left: Cheeseburger with grilled onions and no tomato Right: Guacamole with Bacon and Cheese Burger, no onion - Burgers Near Me - Eureka, California

The original Krabby Patty! (Based on Stephen Hillenburg graduating form Humboldt State University) Love the burgers because they are 100% grass fed. Their burgers have changed through the years especially depending on the chefs serving you that delicious food. Otherwise I have to be honest I have only tried their milkshakes, seasoned fries, BBQ Burger and Avocado Burger. My goal is to try other items off the menu! I can hardly wait!! read more

Classic Burgers with quick service! We stopped in right before closing and there was a line of about 4 people waiting to order at the counter. It moved very quickly and we were able to order in no time. Not only that, but our food cam out super fast as well! We ordered a Bacon a cheeseburger and another with Bacon and Avocado and both hit the spot. Good ol' comfort food. We ordered them as a combo and got fries and drinks along with it, which were filled to the brim! Almost needed another basket just for the "half order" of fries. All in all it's good value and good quality compared to some of the expensive hipster burger joints. Will definitely be back. There is limited parking in the front but plenty of street parking. There are a handful of table inside to dine at but a lot of people were ordering to go or picking up orders. A good alternative as well. read more

My go-to burger joint here in Eureka! If you want a simple but delicious burger, fries, and shake, this is your place. It's a small squeaky clean establishment with walk up counter service, ADA compliant. There's only a few tables (maybe 8?) So I would call ahead for pick up during peak hours. The service is always fast and friendly. I skim the menu each time only to get either the bacon cheeseburger or blue cheese burger. The patty is moist and I like the soft bun it comes in. Love their simple fries, the large order is good for two. This time around we tried the Cajun Fries instead of our usual regular fries. They were good, I just wish the fries were shaken in Cajun seasoning instead of just sprinkling the seasoning on top. read more

Best prepared burgers on the North coast. I always order the double burger with bleu cheese. And the delicious onion rings The service is always fast and friendly read more

Smelled so good the moment we walked in we were excited to try this spot. But i myself run a food business and I would never allow no gloves while touching food especially with 2inches long nails that contains a lot of bacteria even if you wash your hands. I had to unfortunately walk out. read more

I came here for lunch with my friend. I ordered a large fry, root beer float, and a jalapeno swiss burger. The large fry was actual a really good size. I probably should have ordered a small for myself. The fries were good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The root beer float was a good size as well. They use dryer's ice cream for it and put it in a cute sundae cup. The burger was good. It comes with the same preset condiments on every burger so check that out before you order to make sure you don't get ones you don't want. I ordered my burger with no mayo. The burger was juicy, filling, and scrumptious. Even the bun was good. My only complaint would be please toast/grill the bun! I will definitely come back here. read more

When I lived in Eureka I used to love to go to Stars for their chicken salad with pita. The dressing is homemade and while it is honey-mustard, it is more like a dill dressing to me. But it's delicious! Every time I go back home to visit family I get a salad from Stars, mainly because of the dressing! The chicken is seasoned well, the spicy is not spicy so I recommend it for more flavor. Also if you are wanting a milkshake, they make delicious milkshakes! It's very small for seating. So recommend getting your food for takeout, but they do have a couple tables if you'd rather stay and eat. If you are looking for a good burger, yummy milkshake or delicious salad, check out Stars! Note: I always get extra dressing because it's so good! read more

Usually a happy customer. Prices went up, service and food quality down. Ordered Bleu cheese burger with larger fries with extra Cajun seasoning. Cajun seasoning only sprinkled on top but charged for the extra I requested. read more

They claim best burger in town, I beg to differ. Go with In-N-Out burger. If you like smelly hippies and moo shy fries with buns that taste old then this is the place for you. read more

The food was super good. I wasn't a big fan of the fries. I never really liked fries, but the burger was Bussin. It's better than McDonalds stars definitely need more attention read more

Seeing the number of glowing reviews my friend and I both agreed to have lunch here. We ordered the burger baskets with large fries and drinks thinking it would be enough to fill our growling stomachs. When our stuff arrived several minutes later we were disappointed to see the burger was only the size of our hands and the fries were slightly overdone. The food was tasty like the ones at any other burger joint but we still felt hungry afterwards. I am glad we chose not to get the extra onion rings, sauces, or extra seasoning because the food was already pricey for what it was worth. When we left the restaurant we found it difficult to back out of the driveway since the customers park their cars so closely to each other in the compact lot. I do not get the hype at all about this place because it would make more sense to go to Denny's up the street than here. read more

This is an old school burger joint that makes some of the best around, with walk up counter service. Place your order and they'll bring it to you when it's ready, or call you for to go. The folks that work at this small eatery are always friendly and busy it seems. It's located literally across the road from the areas main hospital so it can be really busy during the lunch hour, otherwise it's not to hard to get a good burger and fries at a relatively fast turnaround. The burgers are good quality and the fries and onion rings are both quite tasty. Prepared fresh and hot to order. Fresh local produce on the burgers and your choice of cheese if you're so inclined, make it a cheeseburger please... This burger joint is small and it can be packed at times, especially during the lunchtime hours. Parking can be at a premium as well, but worth the effort. 3.5 Stars - rounded up for the friendly staff. 00589 read more

My disabled son loves the bacon blue cheese burger. MUST get him one for dinner at least once a week. Love the atmosphere and staff!

Hella good and hella busy, but the staff are friendly, ambiance is just like your typical Mom & Pop's but, food quality, freshness and prices can't be beat. I'd choose this over Pricy Mickie Ds any day. read more

Alright, first off, I've been coming here once a week to twice a week since I was in Junior High. I'm now in my 30s. I just can't anymore. This place has hit rock bottom! I'm so sick and tired of complaining about the same order I've been getting for 20 years now. It's different every time these days. You complain, they get it right twice, then it's back to square one. I ordered a SPICY GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD. I mean they created the menu, not me. Why am I the one telling them how to make it??? I pay you, you don't pay me. So, The CUCUMBERS were once again missing, must have sprouted legs and ran off before I could open my box of salad. The chicken WASN'T SEASONED SPICY! I mean that's in the title of the dish, clear as day. So, they dumped spice all over the greens. Lmfao really? So, for the last 2 decades you season the chicken then grill it, now you forget the spice so you just dumped it everywhere as an after thought? We aren't in kindergarten putting a bandaid on a mistake. START OVER. Don't make me suffer because you can't get your own dishes right! Pathetic. At one point it got to me having to check every box, every bag to make sure they did their job. Again, I'm paying you. Learn your menu, check your work, START OVER when you mess up, don't try and season my salad greens because YOU forgot to season the chicken. So, I opened this box of salad, it BARELY had any greens in it, couple dices of tomatoes and pita bread with spice dumped on everything and regular grilled chicken. It's pathetic. McDonald's makes a better salad these days folks. And they mess up way less than this place. It's really turned into a dump. I've decided it's just not worth the headache to come here anymore. read more
