We order from here often and a lot of their food is good, some is hit or miss. I love the eggplant stack and the chefs famous chicken sandwich. The pizza is good but there have been a couple times it was undercooked. They have a lot of variety which is nice (my son could eat pizza everyday but the rest of use get tired of it so it's nice to be able to switch it up). My husband gets the Buffalo chicken Stromboli sometimes and that's very hit or miss. When it's good it's very good, but it is often raw in the middle- you think you're biting into cheese and then you realize it's raw dough. The chicken rollers are a nice addition to the updated menu. Such yummy food and likable workers! Partner and I got there Saturday at 9 pm thinking it closed at 10 (it turned out to be 9:30) but the employees were very considerate and understanding. Monday nights are pizza night in our house and we decided to try somewhere new. After seeing people post photos of this place all pandemic we knew we had to try the Buffalo chicken Stromboli and the grandmas pie. Both were delicious! The Stromboli dough almost had a soft pretzel feel to it which made it even more delicious in my opinion. The grandma pie was awesome, the sauce, the crust, everything. We've gotten grandma pies from other places and they have been covered in oil. This was crisp and delicious and heated up even better on the second day. We will definitely order from here again, even though it's 20 minutes away so that says a lot! read more

The garlic knots were some of the best that I've had around the area. Marinara sauce slaps. The pizza would have been better if there was a bit more of a balance. Too thin for so much cheese and sauce. Also cheese coming out as you heist up to eat and it flops as well. I think if the pizza was made with a little bit more dough, this would have resolved this issue. Fountain drinks were watered down as well. Order 2-3x a week... had a issue yesterday with delivery saying I wasn't answering my phone, older guy clearly didn't enter the correct number. When they first opened, the place was amazing - they had homecut fries, big portions, and the pizza was amazing. Over time, I have noticed a few things have dropped off - THE PIZZA is still AMAZING, however, a lot of other things have fallen off, I can only assume due to the rising cost of products. The french fries are average now, not very good - they are no longer cut there (like at Five Guys) they are purchased frozen from somewhere - I'm personally not a fan of these mediocre french fries - I prefer the higher quality fresh ones. I got a chicken caesar salad the other day, it used to be, you would get some big juicy cuts of fresh chicken breast with the salad, this one had had what looked to be those bagged Tyson, Perdue, or John Soules Foods chicken strips you buy in a bag at Walmart - they were rubbery and slimy like those bagged strips too. The romaine was good, but there were liek 3 croutons. The garlic knot was on point. The salad and fries weren't horrible, just not what I expected from this place, esp. since a year ago or so, they were top notch. We were staying at the Seaview hotel and needed a change. We ordered loaded fries which were excellent. Lots of bacon and cheese on them and very tasty. Sicilian pepperoni pizza was fantastic, a nice salty pepperoni and great dough. Also the fried mozzarella sticks were PACKED with cheese and perfectly cooked. Review Horrendous customer service! This review is specifically for the Absecon location and the general manager Eric. As visitors from out of state vacationing in the Cape May area, my wife searched the area for a pizza place and found Roman's Pizza near our location. My wife clicked on the location on the map and began placing an order online for pickup from her phone. Unbeknownst to her, the order gets processed at the location in Absecon, even after clicking the Cape May location! The backstory to this place is that the owner passed away and the 2 sons took over... one at each location. You would think with them being brothers, an incident like this could be handled correctly to satisfy the customer. However, Eric, apparently the evil brother, would not reimburse my wife's credit card. She was charged for the full order for 9 people: $106 online then had to pay again when picking the food up at the Cape May location! When pleading her case to "Eric", he told her "you should've been more careful ordering online". After seeing her so upset after this phone call, I reached out to "Eric" to express my frustration as a customer and as a husband seeing his wife so upset. "Eric" was as compassionate and sympathetic as a snake eating its prey. Instead of being understanding and "customer oriented", he "strong-armed" us into paying twice for an honest mistake. I'm not sure if these brothers are in cahoots and do this often, but my advice is to go anywhere else before you get robbed! ***UPDATE*** Eric decided to refund my wife the full amount, and for this I am grateful. But please still be aware of ordering online. Make sure you're ordering from the correct location! read more

If you are looking for a solid New York style pizza in south Jersey, Roman's definitely gets it done. My wife and I are transplants from north Jersey and have been trying the local pizzerias for that solid hit, and Roman's gets it done, to be sure. From their servers (Jocelyn) and manager (Eric,) even the guy folding the pizza boxes who made small talk with us, their professionalism, courteous service, and awesome Italian fare were all top-notch. We had family over for Saturday of the July 4th weekend and decided to order take out instead of firing up the grill as they arrived in the late afternoon. We got a margarita pizza and 4 subs (eggplant parmigiana, chicken cheesesteak hoagie, meatball parmigiana and cheesesteak.). The pizza was awful. Rubbery crust and skimpy cheese. The subs were so bad we threw them out. Inedible. I was sad because we live just a short drive away. All four of us know good Italian food and this was among the worst we've been so unfortunate to try. We spent a lot of money for stuff we just thew out. I was really disappointed because I had read that they were good in Cape May county and were expanding to Atlantic County.
