First time shopper. The flannel pjs displayed outside drew me in-- there's a lot of good selection. I snapped up flannel pj pants by PJ Salvage. Usually they are sold in a set so it was nice this was separate. They offered me champagne or hot chocolate! So tempting! It's not just pjs and intimates-- there is also jewelry and other gifts. They have soft pjs and other cozy items like cardigans and more. The customer service was great-- they were both friendly and helpful. This is a darling boutique on University Avenue in downtown Los Gatos. It is directly across University Avenue from the Old Town shopping center. Parking can be a challenge between 11:30 and 2:30, so be warned! I received a gift purchased there and needed to return or exchange it. I was greeted warmly and very well-served. Besides lovely underwear and loungewear the store presents a lovely display of Swarovski crystal jewelry. The merchandise is of excellent quality and here you can find people trained to see that you are fit properly. Pricing is fair and I consider this shop to be an asset to Los Gatos. read more

Romantiques is a fabulous local store with a wide selection of 'pretty little things'. I first met Jessica when I was 5 days post-op and in desperate need of a fitting. She made me feel comfortable and confident right away. The shop is beautiful and cozy. They carry everything from a sexy little panty to that perfect pair of lounge sweats. The price range is modest. especially for the quality of lines they carry. I have never felt pressured to buy "more, more, more" (which happens often at some little boutiques). I was at a complete loss when I went in the first time and left with a few bras (Cosabella, Hanky Panky, Only Hearts and Indah) that fit exactly the description I gave Jessica of what I was looking for. I've been shopping in Romantiques for over 10 years and it is simply the only place I buy my lingerie. They have a wonderful selection of bras which are comfortable, beautiful, and extremely well made. They also have a great selection of sleepwear, evening wear, and everything in between. I don't think I've lever left the store without buying something. It's also a great place to shop for gifts for your girlfriends for birthdays, bridal showers, etc. Sue and her staff are extremely helpful and friendly. You are always greeted with a smile and a warm hello. If you're looking specific, they are really great with suggestions. If you'd rather just look on your own, they don't hover and make you feel uncomfortable. They give honest opinions on whether or not something fits you well. If they don't have your size in something you need, they'll either order it or suggest a good alternative. As a personal stylist, I've come in with clients and referred people to Romantiques. Awful customer service. awful business policies. I went to return a gift from here and the woman working the counter me was incredibly rude. FYI- they don't do returns (even if you're returning something that was purchased a few days prior) for anything other than store credit. When I told the woman working the register that I did not want to purchase anything in the store because it wasn't a place I would shop I was met with an attitude. But seriously, not my kind of store-- at all. I told her I would take credit for the transaction (even though I live over an hour away and won't be shopping here for myself, I figured I could give the credit to someone else). She then puts my name in her register system and says "do you even want a copy" ... yes. I want a copy of my credit. She then snakily replied, "well, you said you wouldn't shop here, so maybe you wouldn't want it." umm... this is a $300+ credit. She hands me a paper receipt as my "credit" so I guess they're not interested in nice presentation, or the idea of me re-gifting the credit to someone who actually wants to be in their store. Not sure what I'm now going to do with this $300 receipt paper, but this was absolutely a crummy experience and I would not recommend going here to anyone. read more

They deserve a 5 for selection and the owner's great taste, but are receiving a 4 due to a crummy greeting. They are located in poshy posh Los Gatos, so I guess they decided they were too busy to offer assistance or say hello upon my arrival. I wasn't hoping for a red carpet....but let's forgive and proceed. I had a ball browsing through the store. You really have to take your time and search because they have so much stuff. I went back to the fitting room 3 times. I wound up spending a small fortune, but it was worth every penny! Check out their Cosabella selection....they have much more than department stores or any other boutique I've seen (great seasonal chemises). Also, I picked up this exquisite Lejaby set with it's own name: Elixir. How hot is that? They also have great jewelery that tempted me at the register, but I ran out of mullah so I had to put my head down and step away from the earrings. Oh yeah, the service was pretty good once I started conversing with the owner. The sales girl that helped me was very good, but My Budoir in the city is far more knowledgeable in terms of fashion and fit. This is the best lingerie store in the South Bay. I came to this boutique in my quest for busty girl bridal lingerie and was sorely disappointed. I believe there may have been a couple of bra/panty sets here in my size, but I have bras and panties already, and guess what? 36DDD girls? We get married, too, and I don't know why it wouldn't occur to a lingerie boutique of all places that we might want the same special occasion stuff that their 34B customers want, but there we are. Go figure. There was ONE bridal negligee in size large in the entire store, and two babydolls (and even those babydolls were built for a C cup, max). The End. Those were my options, and I don't think there were too many more mediums. Also, despite the fact that I was the only customer in the entire store, the sales staff had no apparent interest in helping me. If you're looking for helpful staff and better selection, check out Gitti's in Palo Alto, or even Besos right there in Los Gatos if you're not looking for special occasion stuff. The Lowdown: I went to pretty much every lingerie boutique in Silicon Valley, and Romantiques was the biggest letdown on both service and selection. read more

My OBGYN recommended this place to me after some recent pain I had been experiencing and needed new bras. I went in thinking it would be stuffy and way too expensive, but both staff were fantastic and the bras were pretty comparable (price) to Victoria's Secret...only significantly higher quality! The sizing and fitting experience was exactly what I needed - and shocked me to learn how "off" my cup size was all these years. I went to Romantiques yesterday to look for a lingerie shower gift for my best friend. I had something very particular in mind (comfortable, pretty, light pink). I was immediately greeted when I entered the store & after giving me a few moments to look around the Sales Associate came to my rescue. I described the bride's taste & sizes to her and she immediately produced 3-4 great choices. They were all pretty, but there was one I loved especially and thought would be perfect. At first it seemed like they wouldn't have the right size but another SA pitched in and they were able to find a medium in the back (pretty quickly too)! The whole experience was totally pleasant. I was formally a Victoria Secrets girl but I have seen the light!
