Please tell me the bread is not permanent. The one thing I loved was the rolls for the subs. These rolls are ok, that's it and changes the flavor of the sandwiches. If I wanted a Subway Roll I'd go to subway. Maybe it was a cost thing or staff. I order from here often. This order was unsatisfactory. I asked for my salad to not have olives, it looked like they added olives instead. The salad was so small it appeared that they divided one salad into the two I ordered. The manicotti was not as warm as it usually is, as the cheese had started to set. I moved to Red Lion about 3 years ago and started going here. Food was great and better priced than other nearby pizza joints. Then, last year they got new owners and the quality went way down. Then, this year they got new owners again and I go there at least twice a week (usually for a pizza one day and a super Italian sub the other day). Every order has been top notch! Special props to the staff! They are always ready with the order on time (I live a few blocks away so I always do pick-up) and are super friendly and efficient. read more

We had always enjoyed the food from here, HOWEVER, the last time we ordered an XL pizza and not only was it grossly UNDERCOOKED almost to the point of being cold unmelted cheese, but the gentleman behind the counter was insulted when I had to call out 3 times to get his attention, as he was having a casual conversation with someone in the back by the pizza oven and no one else was around to wait on me. He made a disgusted comment about some lady should be there when I finally got his attention. The pizza made everyone sick and off pizza and Romas may have just lost a good customer. Ordered baked ziti, meatballs, cheesesteak special for lunch and dinner for pick up. My total was $37.82. Could barely find the sauce and cheese on my sub. They put my cheesesteak and onion rings in the same box so half the meat was on my onion rings which made them soggy. I had to add sauce and cheese to the sub and put both in the air fryer to try to salvage my lunch. The sub was so soggy that the bun split on the bottom. I called and explained to the manager that I would like a refund for the sub since it was in such bad shape. He told me I would have to return the sub if I wanted a refund. At this point, I was very upset. I did take the sub back and he supposedly refunded my money. Hopefully it will show up on the bank statement because it hasn't yet. He kept telling me to calm down. I told him I shouldn't have to run a nasty sub back to get a refund. I've been eating here for many years. The food used to be excellent and the customer service was as well. The sub rolls use to be baked in house but what I received yesterday seems like store bought. I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. New owners, new management? Not sure, but I work in Yoe 5-6 days a week and order from Romas in Red Lion regularly but I will try the Romas in Dallastown next time. I called and they are not owned by the same person. Romas in Red Lion lost a long time customer over 1/2 a sub. And to top it off, when I was leaving he say "Bye" in a very sarcastic tone so I gave him the bird! It seems like there was a recent ownership change that brought down the quality. The sandwiches used to be in house made bread that was delicious but now it seems like it is store bought. I was born and raised in dallastown. Romas was a staple growing up. I came home to visit my family for thanksgiving and we ordered romas from the red lion branch. I know the irony of being a vegetarian in York county but I never had a problem. I ordered a vegetarian sub with with lettuce tomato olives and onions. The person on the phone read it back and asked if I wanted broccoli. I said no. The food arrived. My sandwich was hot with only olives, green peppers and tomatoes on it. The roll, which is usually outstanding was raw and dough is on the inside. Everyone in my family complained of their dough roll also. Really sad to see a staple become such garbage. I loathe corrupt chain restaurants but I should have ordered a terrible jimmy johns sub then eat this wet mess. read more

Usually when we order, we get takeout. They get pretty busy at times, so I can understand the rush. However, they've gotten our order wrong multiple times. This is some of the best Italian food that my husband and I have found in the area. We moved here from out of state about 2 years ago and honestly haven't done much eating out because we have been consistently unimpressed with what the area has to offer. My husband is from Long Island and from a big LI Italian family and he subsequently has some pretty high standards for Italian dishes. We have consistently been impressed with the food from Roma's and specifically have fallen in love with their pasta dinners. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak with fried onions. It was average and nothing special but two whole subs for $13 is a pretty good deal. Add some of your own shredded lettuce and tomato and you'll have a decent sub. I've been going here since 2005 and the quality has diminished considerably - the once overstuffed subs are no more but for the price, it's still a pretty good deal. I wish I could give this less than one star. The delivery driver came into my store insisting that I ordered food. I told him that it probably somebody in the back end of my store. He argued with me about this because he was too lazy to walk back. I immediately called to speak with a manager. Before I could even finish what I wanted to tell him, he said, "I'll talk to him.". Let me start by saying that while Roma's does have good food and they were our standby delivery place for the longest time, I have to say their in store service sucks. We all but stopped going on any nights but Tuesday and Thursday when Annette works but our of desperation we stopped tonight (Monday). Walked into the place at 9.03 and stood in an empty restaraunt. I could hear voices in the back but not a sole in site. My fiance and I stood there for a good 10 minutes and even made eye contact with someone that was just hanging out and talking but no one could be bothered to come out and acknowledge we were b there. The food was delicious as usual but during our last visit we ordered 2 crabby patties. The price in the menu was $6.99 but we were charged $7.99 each. When my husband brought the discrepancy to their attention he was rather rudely told that he must have used an old menu. He picked up a menu from the counter and the price was $6.99. Rather than argue he just paid and left. I know it's only $2 but I feel they should have honored the price that they have in their menu. read more
