Rombauer winery is an experience I highly recommend. Pack a nice picnic and head to Napa/St. Helena and enjoy the gorgeous views, fabulous wines and Five Star Wine Service. If you are thinking about joining a winery I highly recommend Rombauer Vineyards. The staff is amazing. Special thank you to Jennifer.

This was my favorite winery of all that we visited on our most recent trip to Napa. Normally we hang out in the Sonoma area, but our friends wanted to check out the Napa area as well, so we chose this place. The grounds are gorgeous! We arrived at 10am and they had our table marked and ready. The young man who took care of us was very knowledgeable and even gave us a recommendation for lunch that we actually went to afterward and it was very good. The wine here is amazing! I have always loved their Chardonnay, but the reserve Chardonnay is a whole new level. Our friends ended up buying a case and having it sent home.

    Good times at Rombauer!

Rombauer is a true testament to all things Napa Valley. Those bold and buttery Chardonnays are an absolute staple around these parts. But what I love about Rombauer is that although they're known for their Chards, they offer soooo much more. A visit to their tasting room could quite literally blow you away if you've never been here before. First and foremost, the scenery is unparalleled. Their tasting room is perched up high on a hill, revealing all of the beauty that Napa Valley has to offer. You've got the vineyards and those lush green rolling hills beneath you. A seat on the deck is perfect spot to relax here in my opinion. You've got the casual environment plus the majestic views right in the forefront. What I also adore about Rombauer is that as big as their name is, they still have a very casual and welcoming feel to their tasting room. I'm not opposed to dropping some serious dough in Napa Valley (it's inevitable at this point). However, it's nice to know that there are still some affordable, casual, and unpretentious places to relax in this area. I love that I can drop by and enjoy a Frosé or a glass of their delicious Sauvignon Blanc on the deck or in the garden. Speaking of the garden; it is glorious! I love taking a stroll through their gardens whilst casually sipping on the goods. They have seated tastings, cave tours, and self paced tastings (which I really enjoy). You can also take a peak inside of their wine cave which is really neat. Parking is valet only and the gentlemen who run the valet are AWESOME! I love chatting with them when I visit. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Last but certainly not least, the WINE! Ironically, their Sauv Blanc is my favorite wine! But their Chards are definitely top notch. As someone who wasn't previously a fan of buttery Chards, Rombauer turned me into a believer over the years. They are so tasty, especially when paired right. Their Zinfandel is another favorite of mine. When the sun is blazing and I need to cool down, a Frosé on the deck absolutely HITS! It has become my new favorite summer excursion. Love me a Frosé with a view! Rombauer is a Napa staple for a reason. I hope they never change.

I arrived with some friends, to our surprise, they have valet service, they take your car as soon as you get towards the building, there wasn't a charge, but of course we tipped them, they seemed to be very happy with that. At least you don't have to look for parking right It was an exquisite, absolutely gorgeous day; the views here are stunning. Our server, Jennifer, was so sweet, and we had such a great time chatting with her. Oh my, we laughed, (Jennifer-her photo shoot) inside joke lol When I come back, she has to be our server, no question. She is the best! The wine here is absolutely exceptional, from the sparkling to the Chardonnay and those beautiful reds, plus a yummy Zinfandel. We even got to try a couple of dessert wines. If you like dessert wines, you gotta try these. I cannot wait to come back. What a beautiful afternoon, drinking, excellent wines, and hanging out with wonderful friends, that's what I call a perfect afternoon. Come on down, my friends, you will not be disappointed. Cheers, my friends and SYOY xo 11/19/25

We went for the self-paced tasting, which included at least five selections. Once you finished your first glass, you could go over to the counter to get the next one. I was impressed by their Zinfandel, it was really jammy! Great atmosphere with beautiful natural, hilly views. We also checked out their wine cave, which was fun. After our tasting, we picked up a bottle of their 2022 Proprietor Selection Zinfandel, which is only available at the winery. Loved the blackberry, vanilla, and spice flavors!

This was my first wine tasting experience and I could not be more happy about it! The location is beautiful, staff is very friendly, and big fan of the price for really good quality service + wine (in my own first time biased opinion) I sat in the garden section, and because it was for my birthday, they gave me a cute Chardonnay balloon!

Our view from our tasting table

David (our wine host) was absolutely outstanding. At just 24 years old, he has an incredible depth of wine knowledge that truly blew us away. Growing up in the wine business has clearly given him a passion and expertise well beyond his years. Beyond his knowledge, David was friendly, engaging, and made our entire tasting experience both enjoyable and memorable. If you're visiting Rombauer for a tasting, do yourself a favor and ask for David--you won't be disappointed!

Spectacular views! Not to be missed! After lunch we booked a wine tasting at the Rombauer Vinyards in Napa Valley. It's one of the more affordable tastings at $25 per person for 5 wines. I chose the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnays, a Pinot, Merlot and the Chardonnay late harvest dessert wine. All very delicious. I didn't love the Chardonnays since they were typical California- Oak and butter notes. But what an amazing view and the server/host was incredibly knowledgeable!

Celebrating our 33rd anniversary at Rambauer! Thank you Brooke and Michelle!

Nicole and Deniro were absolutely phenomenal wine educators! Babe your and tastings were terrific way to spend our 33rd anniversary! Top score to Rambauer!

We love this winery. People are so friendly. The quality of the wine is excellent. The ambience of the place is relaxing and welcoming. It is really hard no to get the wine tasting and get some bottle to home. We really recommend this place.

Although we enjoyed their wines immensely, this review is for the picnic experience at Rombauer. Six months before our trip to Napa, I called and reserved an outside table for the 5 of us. As long as you buy their wine, you can use the picnic tables. It's technically limited to 2 hours but we spent about $300 on wine so they didn't mind us overstaying. At entrance, we checked in with the host and he gave us a map of the property and directed us to our picnic table//area. Covered by a variety of trees, including oak and maple and overlooking the valley and St Helena, I challenge you to find a more picturesque picnic area that serves world class wines. ( see photos) We went in early December. The weather was a perfect crispy 55F and the trees were alit in autumn colors. You do take your chances with an outside table if it's stormy. But they did provide a big umbrella which came in handy to shield us from the sun. Knowing that they didn't sell food there, we went to Sunshine Food just 5 minutes away in St. Helena and got a plethora of picnic foods ( see photos) They do not serve wine to you so you have to walk up to the main house where you can purchase wines by the glass or bottle and bring it back to your table . I didn't mind the trips to get wine because I got to walk through their beautiful garden each time. Parking was easy right at the front of the winery. The staff was very friendly and professional. Overall, it was a fantastic Napa experience. We will definitely be back! Happy Traveling!!

We were in the area and decided spontaneously to stop by. We didn't have a reservation so we would have settle for just a glass or two and enjoy the view. Well we got better than that! We were included in their wine tasting, learned about Rombauer Vineyards and enjoyed the amazing view. Our host was amazing, very knowledgeable and professional. We enjoyed the wine and had great conversations and did I mention the view? We ended up purchasing a bottle and paid for our tastings. We didn't have enough time to think about being members just yet so we'll have to revisit again! After our tasting we did a quick walk around the vineyard and soaked in the views. There are cute little sections as you walk around like "secret garden"... So beautiful and relaxing. You'll have to check it out for yourself.

I am a service connected disabled veteran (US Marine). I had the honor of walking with my exoskeleton during the Rombauer wine cellar tour this past Saturday, 3/21/26. It was a truly special experience to share that moment with my friends, family, and the IAOF Board of Directors. A sincere thank you to Phillip and the entire Rombauer team for their incredible hospitality and outstanding customer service. And to my friends, family, and BOD... thank you for being there and supporting me every step of the way.

And if you like wine and picknicks under the trees it's a total win, win win. We have been here multiple times over the years. This was our first time actually doing a tasting. Andrea stuck with the rose's and white's and I stayed with the red's. Our host was Lucas and he did a fantastic job handling us and multiple patrons at the same time. I could never do this job even though I love wine and can be mediocrely knowledgeable about it to most tourist, but I don't like people and am not into idle chit chat to entertain the peeps. The wine they make you can only buy at the winery and most of it is good and a few bottles are really good. For the tasting you pick 5 from a much larger list and with all tastings at pretty much all wineries we have been to there are always extra splashes of a few other wines as well, typically with the verbage along the lines of, "This one was opened by accident so may as well pour it" or "The new guy thought it was on the list today", or "We just found these in the back and thought it would be a treat". Funny how the extra pours always seem to be on sale by the bottle, Today Only!!! Need to get that FOMO in. Speaking of by the bottle. After the tasting we grabbed a bottle of champs and headed over to the deli for a baguette, cheese and some grapes and onward to the grass. I was eyeballing some tasty looking prosciutto, salami and other assorted meat goodies but opted out since I would be the only one devouring them. Pro tip....if going to buy a bottle for an onsite bring your own wine glasses to avoid the small plastice tumblers. We usually carry double walled stemless aluminum champs and wine glasses with us if not for picknicking for use in hotel rooms and by the hot tub. The picknick grounds are nice with plenty of tables or throw a blanket on the ground. A very nice experience overall!!! Also, "Certified DoggieBear Paw Print of Approval"

There were five of us in our group and none of us had been wine tasting, ever and 3 of us are over 60. The grounds are beautiful and very clean! While we were paying for our package, we were informed that we would be given some extras like more red wines to taste that didn't count toward our 5 wines along with some handmade chocolates. While it was a little warm out, we decided that we wanted to sit outside as we knew our group could get loud. Thankfully, the patio area was lined with misters We were also thankful that Tuesdays aren't a super busy day! Adam was our sommelier, I had to look this up. Adam chatted with us a little to find out what each of us was looking forward to in our wines. I won't bore you with which wines we tried as they are all very good. While the usual time for group like ours should have taken about 60 minutes, we were there closer to 2 hours. Adam helped us with so many delicious wines, taking time to explain what this wine would pair well with, etc. Something that I discovered that I actually do like a good red wine. I guess the red wines that I tried years prior were not so good. We all ended up purchasing several bottles of the wines that we had tried. When we were leaving, there was a gift store with more of the delicious handmade chocolates that we had tried on the patio. There was only the two piece size available but Adam was able to speak with a manager getting as a great deal as the 5 piece box was available. He worked it out so I was able to purchase 3 boxes of the 2 pieces boxes for the same price as the 5 piece box. I had planned on giving these as gifts so it worked wonderfully for me. If you are looking for a great place to go wine tasting, I highly encourage you to try this winery! Great service and goes out of their way to make your day!

This is the kind of treatment that makes us want to return. Napa is a special place for friends, family, and me, and PEJU is now an indelible memory in my Napa adventures! Todd clearly enjoys his important professional position, is passionate about wine and the wine experience, and brings so much joy to customers! I can't recommend him and PEJU enough! Todd went above and beyond to give us a VIP experience and even gave me a bag full of wine corks for my art project after I told him about this and asked for some of their wine corks we saw lined up in their wine uncorking and pouring area. Thank you, Todd!

Had such a great time visiting Peju! We've been longtime fans, so finally getting to visit was a…read morebit of a "how have we not been here sooner?!" moment and Peju absolutely lived up to the hype. Beautiful property, down-to-earth vibes, genuinely great hosts, and of course, plenty of great wine. We got to try some new favorites and, naturally, left with a few gems to take home. Such a fun and relaxed experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back and hopefully with a little more room in the wine fridge!
