Went to meet friends for music and drinks on a Friday. The bartending isn't good. I'd suggest once you get them to take your order, that you order two. I watched the two bartenders oy making their way though, never scanning the bar area to see if someone needs something. Eventually an older gentleman came behind the bar to help, doesn't get much better. When I got a drink and put the straw watpper on the rubber drink catcher (easier for them to reach instead ofeaning over the dirty wet bar) and he says to me, you didn't think I saw that, did you? I say, the wrapper? Yes, I was trying to be polite. He told me I could have put it in my pocket. Lmao! Not sure if it's the management that needs to talk with the bartenders or what. Here's something that you shod always do, don't let dirty dishes, empty glasses fill the bar top, you should be clearing right away. The service was very friendly but overwhelmed. They try to squeeze too many seats into one area and it is difficult to walk to your table without bumping into someone by accident. Romilo's is an amazing restaurant with delicious Greek food. They have the best garlic bread ever and their eggplant parmigiana is the best around! The service is impeccable and the owners are so kind! It has such a comfortable atmosphere and it's a perfect place for watching your favorite game at the bar, listening to your favorite music, and dancing away to live music on certain nights. I had dined in this establishment years ago, had a horrific experience with the food and service. My husband brought it up to try them again recently and I did. One of the best dining experiences in my life! The food was absolutely extraordinary and service was so pleasant, efficient, and my friends and I had a wonderful time. From management changes this place has become a while entirely different place, the atmosphere, food, and service is too notch. The absolute worst food we've had in a long time. Fries were cold, dinners were overpriced, pizza was greasy with crust not fully cooked, meatball Alfredo fettuccine was bland. Temperature was sweltering- so much so we sweated through our entire meal. Waitress never asked how the food was but was quick to box up 3 meals and hand us a check. My favorite things on the menu are the Greek salad and the chicken kabob platter. Service has been hit or miss, but they recently (in the past few years) made some updates to the decor that make it a little nicer inside. Went for brunch....ordered traditional breakfast, french toast and chip beef. None of it was worth the price. We waited for our food and when we got it had to send one back to be reheated. The chip beef is lunch meat sliced on biscuits with gravy on top. Chip beef should be cooked together had very little flavor. Eggs are liquid eggs. French toast was ok. Potatoes had good flavor but were not hot. For the money they charge they need to step it up. Ordered a Mimosa and it tasted like champagne with a splash of orange juice and cost $6.50. Will not return and would not recommend the brunch. Very disappointing mothers day outing. read more

So i recently heard this diner had opened for breakfast and desided to try it. An italian / Greek resturaut is nkt your typical breakfast spot but i like to patron upcomming diners so I took my kids in for breakfast on sunday morning. Our server was exseptional to say the least. Mrs.Sharon took very good care of me and my kids. The coffee is always on my list of judgements and its very tasty. We got fruit and homefries with our eggs and it was all done perfectly and fresh. My kids loved the pancakes and ny husbands inlet was absolutely delicious . i was pleasantly surprised how slow bussiness was however if tbis keeps up it will pick up in no time. Hats off to the owner for taking a risk and servi breakfast with all the big cooperation in the area but no fear this def has the potential to take over and make a name for itself. Romillo's recently started breakfast service so on Sunday my husband and I decided to give it a try. Wow! It was a hit. I had my favorite, eggs benedict floretine and he had an omelette. Both came with fruit and fried potatoes. My meal was the best I've had compared to other diners and my husband was surprised at how large the omelette was. The service was friendly as it always is at Romillo's and we will certainly come back. This place was simply amazing. Sitting here in my self induced quarantine I was thinking about what I wanted for lunch. So I hopped on my favorite food delivery service and did some searching. It lead me to Romilo's. I am glad that it did. I had not even heard of them before but I dove right in (hunger and boredom will cause that at times). A short time later I got delivered to me some of the best delivery food I have ever had. The crab Pretzel was ON POINT!! The Cold Cut sub was well proportioned with much more meat than toppings (most places load up the toppings to save money). The Cheesy Garlic Bread was AMAZING!! The cannoli is FANTASTIC!! Basically everything I got was good and it was enough for me to eat off of for the next couple of days. I will be ordering from these folks many more times in the near future. read more

Based on reading some of the reviews, we decided to have dinner here Mother's Day. This was a big mistake. My daughter ordered shrimp fettucine with alfredo sauce. The Shrimp Fettucine was breaded!?! One of the Specials was pasta with mussels and lobster in an alfredo sauce. The lobster was unreconizable since the chef had somehow managed to get the lobster meat out of the lobster's legs!?! Very stringy, chewy lobster which I found inedible. Needless to say we will never ever be back. read more

I am just finishing lunch here for the first time. Normally I wouldn't review on a first visit unless my socks went into orbit but I wanted to counter the large number of very low reviews. I gave four stars instead of five because I'm a hard grader and my order was unambitious. This is basically a Greek-Italian-Diner but a good one. Service was responsive and the cream of crab soup was very good as was the Greek salad. The soup was among the best cream of crab I've had. The salad was basic, but everything was fresh and crisp, no soggy lettuce. Maybe I'll upgrade to 5 stars when I've had more off the menu. Decor is cute. I don't know what happened to the one star reviewers but that's certainly not the experience I had! read more

My family was in Severna Park on 11/14 so we decided to give Romilo's a try for the first time. We do not regularly eat Greek food, so I can't say we are experts on the cuisine. We do know when we eat great food and have great service and this is not what we found at Romilo's. When you walk into the dinning room you will notice that there is construction going on, which seems strange. In my opinion, restaurants should close for a couple of days when they remodel. Before eating I had to stop in the restroom. I found that it was dirty, the toilet was leaking, and the trash can was broken. "Come on guys" was what I was thinking. On the way back to the table I had to evade the over abundance of tables and chairs. They need to reduce the dinning room by at least one table. I saw someone else mentioned that in their review too, so I am not sure if the owner/management reads these posts or not. So I finally sat down for dinner. Being a brand new customer I asked the nice waitress what she eats as that is typically a safe bet for a new customer. She replied, "oh if you come here a lot and try everything you will eventually find something that you like". Again, "come on guys"! The server should be well prepared to tell me what the specials are and what the local favorites are. I tried the "Famous Gyro Platter". I guess every Greek restaurant has a "famous Gyro platter". We ordered two Gyro platters and my son ordered a Shrimp Scampi dinner. The Gyro platters came with fries and a Greek side salad. The salad must have been Greek because it had lots of chopped up center parts of an iceberg lettuce head and one single olive (qualifies with one olive of course). The dressing was very oily. I don't think the cook who made that dressing tried it before they served it, because it was pretty bad. The Gyro was unlike any other Gyro I have ever had. Typically Gyros have skinny shavings of lamb (no rotating lamb machine in sight by the way), some greek sauce, and a few veggies. The lamb was very thick and tasted ok. I swear the Pita bread they served it on was several days old and purchased from a grocery store or trucked in. It can't be that hard for a Greek restaurant to make fresh Pita bread for the dinner service. Again, "come on Guys"! The fries seemed to be trucked in steak fries. They could have easily been freshly cut and seasoned, but that is not what they did. The lamb pieces where so big I could not even pick up the Gyro and fold it in half to eat it. I felt like a dork for having to cut it up with my fork and knife. They Pita bread was beginning to get stale so it was even hard to cut. The Gyro platter was $18. My son had the Shrimp Scampi and he said it was so bad after a couple of bites that he refused to eat it. That cost $22. I tried the shrimp and found that it did not taste fresh either. The butter sauce was not balanced very well. It is apparent that the Romilo's chefs/cooks are not tasting what they are making. This place needs one of the restaurant rescue shows to come in and show them how to make it right. Some more management effort and food tasting would probably make this place really good. For the $65 dollars I spent on dinner I could have gone somewhere else and had a much better dinner and service. It was a little on the expensive side in my opinion, however the waitress was extremely friendly and the pizza was really very good. They didn't skimp on cheese like a lot of places will. Thought I'd add my two cents. I'm a simple guy, and the only thing I've ever really had from Romilos is their pizza, but that alone warrants a 5 star rating from me. By far THE best pizza in Severna Park. It's delicious, filling, and just a plain cheese Romilos pizza is enough to make my day. read more

I've had good and not so good experiences here, but overall I'd give them a C+. I've never had to wait to be seated, and the staff are always friendly. The food is OK, not great, not horrible. I'm not a fan of their Greek dishes, but their subs are OK, especially considering that they're HUGE! Unless you have a sumo wrestler's appetite, you'll only want the small (or half) sub. Their salads are pretty good, and their pizza's actually one of the best around. I can get just a simple cheese pizza and be happy here, which is not something I can say about many pizza places. read more

I can recall the great days of Romilo's, back when Gary and Nick ran it and great bartenders kept everyone happy. Then it was sold, the bartenders quite one after the other, and it went downhill. So we stopped going. Now there is a new owner, and we wanted to try it again. We arrived on a Friday and saw a band setting up. We were a party of six, and they found us a high table, and I was feeling pretty good. Then it all fell apart. Perhaps the new owner needs time, but it will be a long time before we go back. The list of problems is long. First was the SLOW service. Brian behind the bar seems confused and slow by nature. The server was actually great, but she had to do the work of three, and try as she might, we had to wait a long time for everything, and chase her down to get her to come to our table. Dirty dishes and glasses piled up, and were there when we left. The Greek salad was cheap tasting, not like the good old days. Cheap oil and cheap vinegar mixed together and poured on lettuce with almost no feta to be found. Not much else besides lettuce in the salad. A far cry from what used to be Romilo's famous salad. The wings just sucked. I asked for crispy, got rubber. The pizza was fine, but how hard is pizza. I hope they can find their way back to the old Romilos magic. read more
