It would have been nice if there was more eggplant and hopefully also some bamboo shoots as well. Finally, for dessert I had the warm chocolate cake. Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. The AYCE also comes with a couple caveats. You're limited to 10 pieces of sashimi and 10 pieces of sushi- you can get as many maki/hand rolls as you'd like. So keep that in mind. I've never had a wait at Firudo and the staff is attentive. It's very clearly a family run business, which I appreciate. As long as you don't go expecting Jiro dreams of sushi, I think you'll have a great meal.
