Would not recommend this guy. Had a small shed lock that key would not turn on on my Dad's shed who had just passed away. Called on a Monday said he'd be there at 12:30...called him again at 1pm said he'd double booked sorry. Gave him a second chance for the next day wish I hadn't. When I asked on day one how much to show up he said "will talk about it when I get there". He spent 3 minutes sprayed some WD 40 got it to open and took out six screws from the old hasp....told me to buy a new $10 lock at home depot as he didn't have one (thank goodness). Never said anything about $ until I asked what I owed and it was $120. I get that (some) people need to get paid for showing up (no free estimate from this guy)....but he never gave me an estimate and when I complained after writing the check telling him I will never call him again, he basically said I should feel lucky that he didn't spend more time messing around and tell me it was a difficult job so he could charge me even more. Seriously. Don't even bother contacting another mobile locksmith. Ron smashes them all out of the water with service and prices. I reached out , probably, to 8 different locksmith via Yelp (they have this cool thing where you can send out same message to multiple companies). Ron was the first to respond. He even offered to come by to take a look at our lock issue and assess it for free. He wasn't sure if he could fix our locks but said he'd try. I was worried that he'd charge me for just 'trying' but he said no. If he gets them to work, then ok, he'll charge. But if not, no charge. Fair enough. He was able to fix our issues. I was shocked. He's a smart cookie. I will admit that I was a bit apprehensive at first as Ron is young and hip looking. He doesn't have a huge logo'd van like others. I had been in and out of my new studio apartment in Oceanside for the past three weeks, always remembering to take my keys with me. This morning, I grabbed my purse, but left my keys in the house. Mindlessly locking the door behind me, I soon realized that I had locked myself out and could not get to work without my car keys. I had an hour commute to go substitute teach at a school in Menifee.
