511 Bar & Lounge in Fort Lauderdale is easily one of my new favorite spots in the area. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between upscale and laid-back -- great music, friendly crowd, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. The drinks are well crafted and reasonably priced, and every cocktail I had was on point. I had the chance to meet the owner, Trenton, and he's a genuinely great guy. You can tell he really cares about his guests and takes pride in making sure everyone feels welcome. That kind of hospitality sets this place apart from the usual nightlife spots in town. What I really liked about 511, is i would say very relaxing. I loved the outside area for grabbing a drink, getting a nice group together and having good conversation and thats exactly what we did. We spent hours conversating while enjoying the ambiance. There is a nice inside area too with a full bar if that is more for your liking. They also offer the game of pool, jenga and my favorite corn hole. They even had fun table bar games. Definitely will pay them another visit. read more

Discovered 511 while participating in a St. Patrick's Day bar crawl. They are a very clean, young adult modern bar and lounge. They have an inside section with some lounge set ups as well as bar seating. Outside they have some more casual social seating as well as some light activity such as cornhole in the back. I noticed that there is a small food truck that you can walk too easily when you're in the outside area. There is people of all age ranges, and it seemed very family/dog dog friendly. read more

The first time I came here was for a Yelp event, and now I finally had the opportunity to return. I really like their outdoor area with tables, pool, and food trucks. The bar has plenty of options for all tastes, but unfortunately, it only accepts cards and not cash. As with the first time, the space is great for events and meetups. read more

The crowd was filled with locals, enjoying an evening with new and old friends. The 511 is pet friendly with well-behaved pups on leashes, accompanying their owners for an evening out. Numerous games are available for the patrons to use free of charge. Food was not served there, but we were there for an event called Food in Motion which provided a variety of food trucks and artisan vendors. What a great place, we came to the Food in Motion event. They provided food trucks and other type of merchandise tents in the back of their parking area. The event was nice but I felt a lot more comfortable sitting inside the 511 bar with a very enthusiastic crowd. The cleanliness of the bar was impressive and the bar staff was friendly. I used to be a regular when this spot was Aqui, and while it's changed names, the energy is even better now. The owner--same guy--has really upped the game with this new concept. The Bar is so beautiful at night (wish I got a shot of it) it lights up, the venue has 180 degree floor to ceiling windows so you can inside well. I enjoyed the back patio area it's a vibe, the furniture is comfy and they have casual group games such as giant Janga and giant connect four, etc. We loved the DJ! He did his thing we were jamming all night. The drinks were the best part of the night, the signature cocktails were delicious and aesthetically pleasing. They did lacked in alcohol in my opinion though, normally two cocktails would do me in but I barely felt a buzz going. Great new place that used to called Aqui. They remodeled it, removed the kitchen, expanded the indoor area a bit and totally gave a new look and feel to the backyard. They had an Italian food drunk when I went and the food was pretty awesome there. The drinks were good and strong. The place reminded me of Social Room in Hollywood. Go here! We came here prior to their closing and restructuring and while we are not night people, we have been there and recognize potential. A walk from everywhere and a lively place filled with great staff, welcoming and attentive with great personalities. I was standing outside admiring the office space next store when the owner came out and greeted me and asked if I would like to see the inside, wow! Staircase is so arcticletually cool, the lighting striking. More than anything his time to just say hello, he explained the concept and from what I hear, this should become a destination.
