    Fish and chips

The fish and chips are awful. The onion rings are so greasy just terrible food. Everything we had was awful.

Meh. Ate here before a flight. Had a hankering for a rueben w a Guinness beer. I changed out the fries for onion rings. The server stopped several times to check on me. The food was decent and hot. The beer was overpriced airport but predictably good. The atmosphere what a hybrid of airport hurry and Irish over dark cliche wood. Is ok but not a must have place.

I love pubs and one in an airport is even better. The service was great even though they were slammed and I loved their burger and onion rings. Great selection of drinks! I just think the booths should be updated a little because they weren't very comfy. The ambiance of the place? Eehhh not exactly a pub feel per say but that's hard to do in the middle of an airport. I think pubs should be loud and crazy but that's just me. Good place, good service, good food. Thumbs up.

Rooney's is actually located inside Palm Beach international Airport. I don't know if the Rooney family personally takes pride in this establishment like they do to their football team, the Steelers. But, this is just a so so venue. In my 15 years coming to Southern Fla, I always hoped they would improve the quality of food, not the case. I ordered an Irish Grilled Cheese sandwich w/bacon. It tasted ok, but I could make a heftier sandwich at home for one quarter the price. And two minuscule slices of pickles. The Guinness Stout was excellent as always and Nancy, my 'bartender, knew how to pour it. In fact she was the only positive in this restaurant. You might say to yourself why frequent this place? I know the Rooney family is caring, but just hasn't carried over to this place.

The Farmers Salad.. Chicken, bacon And candied pecans.. could definitely use more bacon.. but still very tasty...

    Chicken Fingers

The chicken fingers were actually really good. I was pleasantly surprised with this place the meal was great. Everyone loved it.

Guinness in a Goose Island glass. ‍

Well, where to start. First, service is lousy. Stephanie (our server) is an older lady with zero personality. It makes me sad really. Then I get my Guinness served in a Goose Island glass. Not sure how many Irish pubs would do such a thing. Food was not very good. I ordered the Cod Sandwich which was overcooked and very small. I had to send the first one back. Wish this would be a pub that's more authentic. We were very disappointed.

Tiny piece of hard & dry fish in a gigantic burnt ciabata roll. That is the bottom half of the roll the burnt top is above.

What an awful meal. Now I know why the one in Abacoa is no more. i ordered the cod sandwich And got a huge burnt ciabata roll and a tiny piece of cod. I ended up cutting the sandwich in half and only use half of the bread to compensate for the tiny piece of very hard, dry and poorly cooked cod. I am Including a picture. Clearly this place has no quality control and all of the staff looks miserable and too busy texting to pay attention to quality or customers. NEVER AGAIN!

For a place that serves breakfast, they didn't have whole milk. Can't say it was anything special. Can't even say I would come back here t

We were directed to a booth that just opened up and our server was very helpful. They offer a full bar with a large selection of bottled and draft beers. I ordered one of my favorites ... a pint of Harp's ... ice cold and wonderful. My wife and I narrowed down our favorite Irish dishes, selecting the Irish Beef pie that came with mashed potatoes and veggies,(peas included of course!) The food is very good and portions are generous. We will have to try them again, not on a game day, but will come back for the great food!

I mean a hundred more folks than allowed by the Fire Marshall, I'm sure. There was a big soccer match between France and Qatar. And everyone and his brother was standing room only to watch the match. There were even speakers outside so those tables on the sidewalk could listen to the game. We were seated at a booth table that didn't have a very good view of the TV screen, so it opened up. The guys each tried a harps beer on tap. They liked it. Our friend had an old fashioned. For food, my husband and I shared a beef pie. It was chunks of meat in a pie crust. With delicious Guinness brown gravy on the side. And veggies: peas, carrots and broccoli. Plus mashed potatoes, of course. Our friends had an appetizer of onion rings and fish n chips. The beer battered cod was fried and served with veggies and french fries. It looked very good. It was loud. And even louder when there was a goal. So conversation was a bit challenging. Despite everything going on around us, we still got pretty good service. We also got to try a promo for a non-alcoholic Heineken. And our server even said that she hoped we'd come back next time -- when they weren't so busy.

I felt a little out of place plus the bar area was loud chileee, but feelings aren't always facts so I didn't let that top me from dining. I saw they served fish and chips before I came and I wasn't passing that up. The fish and chips were good. I did have to ask for extra tartar sauce because one serving wasn't enough for me. It also came with coleslaw with raisins. Listen...I know, I know but I wasn't even mad at it. Need a little sweet component in your slaw. Now the desserts - that's where things went left. I couldn't decide between the mini apple crisp and the mini brownie, so naturally I got both. I mean hellooo, they're mini. However, I wish I'd gotten neither. Hard pass on both cause c'mon son, how you screw that up?. Overall, I'd come back for the fish and chips and the friendly service. But next time, I'm stopping after the entrée and saving my sweet tooth for somewhere else.

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.
