    Turkey Dinner
    Max N.

Wanted to go to a pub to get a pint since the Bedner's farm event didn't have any alcoholic beverages. I keyed in pubs, specifically Irish, into google maps. The one I originally was going to go with was much more crowded, and since a soccer game had been on, there was a lot of yelling going on. This was my second pick. The harp on draft seemed a little flat, which is why I opted for the bud light in a bottle for my second beer. Karen had a rum runner made by Meghan, our waitress, and she loved it. She didn't choose to have anything since she got a lobster roll at our last stop. I first wanted to have the Swedish meatballs, but they were out of them. My second pick off the menu was their turkey dinner. The taste wasn't anything memorable and it didn't really taste like I was eating real turkey. I'm sad to say that frozen dinner turkey meals may actually taste better. The one thing I enjoyed was the mashed potatoes. Instead of a full mashed consistency, it had tiny pieces that hadn't been mashed. The peas and carrots were basically from frozen, so nothing special there either. I likely wouldn't be back as both the beer on draft and the meal itself were nothing to rave about.

Pros: Your run of the mill Irish pub, the ladies behind the bar were very nice and made good drinks. No craft cocktails, limited beer selection. Good music, plenty of sports. Cons: Nothing to write home about, I wish they had speciality drinks.

Love this place for drinks and a chill pub night. The service is on par, especially Emily. Overall, it's relaxed and fun- for an Irish Pub in Lake Worth. The pub fare is fairly decent and the wings (and sauces) are noteworthy. Regardless of the wings, their sauces are BOMB!

The best Shepherd Pie I have had in America! Great Guinness as well! Must visit spot!

I'm going to start off by saying that this place has the best bangers & mash that I've ever had. The restaurant usually is not that busy at all but then again I usually go out to eat at not that busy times lol. The servers are very nice and friendly. I've been here a few times and one of the times that I went I was not feeling well at all and the owner made me some tea with honey in it and I just thought that that was the sweetest thing. It's not very "modern" when it comes to the decor and the visual presentation of the restaurant itself but I love this place so much that I want to have my birthday here! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for ANYONE !

Food was great. But service was extremely slow. Ambiance was nice. Plenty of TVs to watch the game.

Mitch and Thomas are the best. Hard working, they remember names and drinks and the food is on point. Best place on Lake Ave.

Ask the Community - The Rock Irish Pub

Is there any entertainment at the Rock Irish Pub? In particular, looking for live Irish music

There is live music but it's not usually Irish music unless it's St. Paddy's day or something Irish.

However, on this particular day we chose subsistence for our appetites. Now, we usually go on Prime Rib Monday- when we are going there to eat. We prefer it over Bonefish Mac's Prime Rib Monday (but they are both good). Briny also has specials on Tuesday and Wednesday (one day is Mahi tacos). But, le sigh, this was a Thursday. The place was pretty packed at 5:30 pm.m. with only a couple of open tables. There were a few families and some elderly people and then your typical "salt of the earth" people. Just another day at Briny. The local staff were all present and greeted us with smiles and "Hey- how have you been(s)? They are all very friendly and work well together and know the locals. My son chose the nachos - he is not a big sea food person. They are some very good nachos and I recommend get extra sour cream next time. My husband went with "my" usual order of fish fingers (mahi in a panko breading) and fries. Can never go wrong with this order- solid choice. I went with something I have never had here before- the Mahi Reuben (blackened). I got tator tots with it. Mixing things up! It was very tasty and unique. Something a little different. Then, the guy behind us with his 3 kids (2 in a wagon- haha) and his wife stood up, looked at my husband and said- "Get the fish and chips! It's amazing!" Well, my husband had been pining over that decision because that is his usual order but he was trying something different. However, this was the Briny Pompano family man whispering to go with old faithful. It was fate! It was meant to be. The atmosphere aligned at the corner of Atlantic and A1A. Oh waitress!!! Another order! The fish and chips were amazing. Just like the fatherly Briny whisperer said - Cod in a beer batter. Light and flakey and add that malt vinegar with tarter sauce...yummo!! (IMO- Briny tarter sauce is better than Flannigans). And, don't forget to add the malt vinegar to the ketchup for the fried and extra pepper! A great feast was had by all and we all went home happy and with leftovers. Get down to the Briny for where the magic meets the sea. Get some dinner, listen to live music, get up and dance and breathe that salty air. Live a little and meet some new people! Good times had by all.

We sat at the bar and I had Shepherd's Pie and my wife had a grilled chicken sandwich. She said her sandwich was very good. My Shepherd's pie as also tasty. Just be aware that the Shepherd's Pie was covered in brown gravy. That was not what I expected but it was good. The bar tender - Michael - was very attentive, and he told us that most of the staff has been there for years. I can understand that because of the feeling of family and coorporation they all had. The also had live music when we were there which was a nice plus.

We went in for a quick lunch before the madness of the weekend set in so we could try some of the menu items. It's a small spot on the corner of a strip mall but gives "local watering hole" vibes with its dark inside and TV's everywhere. With the exception of 2 people at the bar, we were the only people in there so we sat right down and the bartender came around to give us some menus. They have a couple lunch specials like any sandwich and a domestic beer for $10. We started with the Irish Egg rolls which is corned beef, cabbage and cheese that comes with a Russian dressing dipping sauce. These were AWESOME! Crunchy egg roll shell filled with hot ingredients that make your mouth water. For lunch i got the corned beef sliders. Came with three decent sized sliders with corned beef, cabbage slaw, Swiss cheese and Dijon mustard. They were delicious! Those came with a pile of steak fries, perfectly cooked. Couple all of that with the ice cold pints they kept flowing and this place just might be added to my lunch rotation!
