Great dive bar. Not crowded so you can have a seat no issue. No noisy band blasting terrible music. Solid bar food and drinks and they show UFC/boxing fights on Saturday. Literally my type of bar just go in sit down and enjoy. No people hustling in the bathroom trying to give you paper for a tip and no weirdos trying to offer you drugs. This is a small Irish Pub that treats their locals like family, but tourists like us get the cold shoulder. They were busy, and this could be the excuse. Meghan deserves 5 stars for her well made Rum Runner. She said she knew how to make an awesome one and she was right. I felt like I was on a cruise ship and this was the drink of the day. Of course, at a pub, Max stuck with the beer. Max asked for the Turkey Dinner. Please do not get me wrong. Those that grew up on Banquet, Swanson's or Dinty Moore will love this meal. Wanted to go to a pub to get a pint since the Bedner's farm event didn't have any alcoholic beverages. I keyed in pubs, specifically Irish, into google maps. The one I originally was going to go with was much more crowded, and since a soccer game had been on, there was a lot of yelling going on. This was my second pick. The harp on draft seemed a little flat, which is why I opted for the bud light in a bottle for my second beer. Karen had a rum runner made by Meghan, our waitress, and she loved it. She didn't choose to have anything since she got a lobster roll at our last stop. I first wanted to have the Swedish meatballs, but they were out of them. My second pick off the menu was their turkey dinner. The taste wasn't anything memorable and it didn't really taste like I was eating real turkey. I'm sad to say that frozen dinner turkey meals may actually taste better. The one thing I enjoyed was the mashed potatoes. Instead of a full mashed consistency, it had tiny pieces that hadn't been mashed. The peas and carrots were basically from frozen, so nothing special there either. I likely wouldn't be back as both the beer on draft and the meal itself were nothing to rave about. read more

When I lived in Lake Worth for years, I always saw this spot unoccupied until finally last year, by the grace of Bacon Ra, this chill pub opened here. I like their bar area, which has a fun energy, while I ordered rounds of Jameson and Ginger, noshing on very satisfying buffalo wings. They had a couple of people playing live music by the establishment's front as I enjoy my drinks and wings. The wings had some good buffalo sauce baste that I enjoyed immensely with blue cheese dressing. The service was solid, and I enjoyed the vibes as I chilled out at the bar with my drinks and wingies. Two stars for the drinks. Zero for the food. When this first opened we loved going! Great menu and great food. Since then they changed the menu completely and the food isn't good. The French dip is tiny pieces of over cooked beef and the sauce was LOADED with salt and burned pieces in the bottom. The meatloaf was essentially bread crumbs with a few pieces of meat mixed in. No flavor. They used to have a delicious crab dip and buff chicken sliders that are no longer there. Even the mozz sticks they don't cook right anymore. I wish they would revamp their menu and kitchen to what it used to be! read more

The restaurant usually is not that busy at all but then again I usually go out to eat at not that busy times lol. The servers are very nice and friendly. I've been here a few times and one of the times that I went I was not feeling well at all and the owner made me some tea with honey in it and I just thought that that was the sweetest thing. My girlfriend and I chose the Rock because our usual Sunday football spot across the street had live music, so the Rock seemed like a good place to watch some football. I had been months before when it first opened and remember the food being pretty decent. The good news is the food is still pretty good. The wings were really excellent actually. The nachos were pretty average and the burger was slightly above average, but it's a sports bar so you don't have the highest of expectations. The bartenders were super good and even though we were at a table, they would leave the bar and always ask us if we needed anything. Based on all of this, I would give the place an easy 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, when we got our check, they charge a surcharge for using a credit card. They must be the only place on Lake Ave that charges that fee. I am aware that credit companies charge you for using the machine, but that is just a fee that restaurants have to eat. It makes you think if they are that frugal with their credit card machine, what other cost cutting could they be doing? read more

Terrible experience will never go back. Five of us sat outside, 2 ordered salads 2 ordered chicken wraps. After waiting 40 minutes the server brought the salads. One asked for extra dressing. Ten minutes later the cook delivers the dressing and says "I have an issue", I just checked we have no wraps in the refrigerator. We asked why did it take you 40 minutes to make 2 salads, (one was a house salad) and 45 minutes to discover you have no wraps? Answer: I'm really sorry about that. Then the server Megan asked if we would like something else instead then apologized telling us "yea when he told me that I told him you go tell them I'm not". Like it wasn't her fault, your our server, we were the only ones eating you couldn't check on our food after 20 minutes? Ridiculous will never go back and I recommend you do t either. We are locals who just tried The Rock Irish Pub for the first time. I was ignored at the bar a few times before she saw me but then she was pleasant. Our order did get a little confused. I had lunch with my son here on a Saturday, Mostly pub food, but it tasted really good. We started off with the pretzel bread nuggets with cheese dipping sauce. I felt the dipping sauce to pretzel nuggets ratio was off ie. , too much cheese not enough pretzel bread. I opted for the bacon cheeseburger with fries and my son had the shepherds pie which he said was very good. Service was prompt and pleasant. This place has a large open area with high ceilings, the acoustics are very bad , which makes the place very loud. Several large screen TV's so you can watch your favorite sports. A somewhat cold atmosphere, granted they only opened a few weeks ago. Desperately needs some decorations, art etc. on the walls to warm up the atmosphere. Granted it's a sports bar. I came out during Covid19 to have a beer and get some chow. The Guinness was great, the food was very good, and there was a guy playing some good tunes on guitar. In normal times, definitely four stars. Problem was, not one member of the staff wore a mask. They all had masks dangling from one ear. Someone needs to tell them, that doesn't do a thing. I was there for an hour, and never did one employee put on their mask. Maybe they think this is all a hoax, I don't know. I'm so tired of that attitude.
