A easy restaurant to try while you're staying at the Marriott hotel in West Palm Beach. They are super friendly but a little slow on food delivery to table. I live in a building next door so I had to come check this place out. Mid day, a few tables filled and one other at the bar. Great server. He's been with Marriott a long time. I got a glass of Meomi (my fav) and the steak tacos. I did not love them and would not get again. Just ate the steak on the last 2. There's a chipotle sauce on them that just ruined it. Pico and guacamole would have been perfect! The guy at the bar said his chicken Ceasar salad was very good. But the menu looks good and it has long open hours. Bar closes at midnight. Yay! read more

We sat outside on a Sunday for lunch. We were the only customers. We were able to order off the breakfast and lunch menu at 11:30. The menu has a fried chicken sandwich, but they grilled it for me. It was topped with caramelized onions and a spicy aioli. I chose the side salad which had romaine, cucumber, red onion and tomatoes . I was in town to check on a piece of property. I had breakfast at the hotel since it was convenient. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the omelet. You never know what your going to get at a hotel and it is usually overpriced. The price was reasonable so I went a second time. Bistro 1001 is what you expect of a Hotel restaurant/bar. Largo open seating area as well as a sports bar. The staff is attentive. The menu has some offerings that go beyond burgers and fries which I appreciated. The rice bowl made for a filling lunch but I wasn't quite sure if it was trying to be a poke bowl or an undressed burrito. I would have added a small vegetable plate to my meal but then we are looking at $30 for a lunch. too steep for me. read more

What a disaster! Service was non existent! Had to flag people down to get a menu! No one came to take order! Flagged another person down! Took order, and order arrived. I called and placed my order with the hotel front desk staff. I ordered the sriracha-honey chicken wings, salmon tacos, and the spinach salad with salmon. My order was ready within 15-20 minutes. The unexpected surprise was the crispy and tasty side of french fries. I thought the chicken wing sauce could have sipped in more, but overall it was tasty. The salmon tacos were nicely balanced and flavorful. The salad will be our lunch tomorrow. Stayed at the hotel and ordered take out from this bistro. The first night, I wanted something healthy, so I chose the superfood salad with shrimp. I had low expectations, because I travel twice to three times month for work and usually, if you order a salad, it is small, with 70 percent lettuce/green mix and your protein of choice popped on top. This salad was AMAZING! So amazing that I ordered it two more times before I left and didn't bother looking at the rest of the menu. Huge serving size, every ingredient listed was actually in the salad (something new) and there was plenty of it. The cilantro lime dressing was sublime and I am dying to ask for the recipe. This place is AWESOME. We were seated and handed the menu.... and no joke, there wasn't ONE THING on it that didn't sound AMAZING. I would have eaten the entire menu if I could have. We were a party of four people... we ordered three appetizer, and every single one was delicious and unique. The tuna guacamole was fantastic and served with these very light crisps, the flatbread was topped with some arugula and balsamic, and the beer battered brie was to DIE FOR. To be honest, the appetizers were SO good that I was worried the rest of the meal wouldn't compare, but I was wrong. Two ordered the skirt steak. It was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The yucca was AWESOME and the onions were a nice addition. I had the pork chop, which was (once again) fantastic! Juicy, moist, tender, and great flavor. The blue corn grits were very cool and tasted wonderful, and the kale was off the charts! The fourth dish we ordered was the house fish- red snapper sautéed and served with whole wheat risotto and greens. Again, AMAZING DISH! Luckily, everyone was in the mood to share, so I got the opportunity to try every single thing we ordered... INCLUDING THE BANANA SPLIT! Bistro 1001 is a restaurant connected to the Marriott in West Palm Beach. Not wanting to venture far for something to eat I decided to drop on in and have some quick bites and a beer. For food I had the Tuna Tostadas and Burger Sliders. Both met my expectations. The burgers had melted Brie and a tomato jam that was almost sweet. It worked well and each bite had solid flavor. The tuna tostadas were ok. The tuna was fresh (something I was a little nervous about given this place is connected to a hotel), but the guacamole just over powered everything on these for me... As for drinks they have a pretty solid menu for cocktails, wines, and beers. I've been really into German Kölsch late lately so I was excited to see Biscayne Bay's take on it. It was a solid drinkable beer that I highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all guests, and it was a busy night. Ashley in particular was awesome! All in all I don't know if the place is worth going out of your way for a meal given the other options nearby, but if you're staying at the Marriott there's really no need to venture anywhere else - and I'd also say it's a good spot to watch some games and grab a drink! read more

I ordered from Bistro 1001 through room service. After being told they no longer served the pasta dish that was on the menu, I opted for an order of wings and a side salad. The wings were pretty darn good if I say so myself. The salad was delicious (except for the red onions); I should have opted out of them. It was much bigger than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. For dessert, I had the key lime creme brulee. At first, I was disappointed that the serving was so small ($6 cost) but realized it was all for the best. The meal was hot upon arrival and boy, I enjoyed every bit of it! This is a horrible place my sister found a bug in her drink and a man named frank took the bug out and gave it back to her.and he asked me what do you want me to do and he didn't even know what he can do about it but take the big out I had to get up out my seat to go talk to a manager.frank also told me they have bug's flying around in the restaurant and that's how the bug got in my sisters drink. Fried chicken sliders were good, but why fry the fish tacos ? Turn on the grill and make these healthy, which is what the radish slaw leads to. Decent prices all around, especially wines by the bottle...and they offers several high end ones. Bartender with the man bun was great. Very fast, helpful and friendly. We came back just for him after the show at Perfect Amphitheater for after dinner drinks and dessert. Breakfast the next morning was also outstanding. You can hit up more up-scale, well-known spots for stellar, new American, and pay out the nose, or you can go to this spot, pretend you aren't in a Marriott, and have an incredible, memorable meal. Highlights: Goat-cheese ravioli on a beef ragu House-made sausage w/ greens and giant beans Skirt-steak w/ chorizo grits Other highlights: The two chefs--Chris and Matt--are personable, available, and eager to talk about your meal, and the origin of the ingredients (i.e. which local farms they work with). First off, I've dined in many restaurants in the lobby of Marriott's around the country and I have to tell ya...this one, HANDS DOWN, is absolutely one of the best! Their prices here are quite reasonable based on the quality of food. They have things on the menu that I've only heard of while watching Top Chef. Gastrique? Creme Fraische? Foie Gras?? AND they serve local fish, so it's fresh and delicious! I ordered (over a period of three days in the hotel) the Roasted Beet with Goat Cheese...Fantastic! I also had the Ahi Tuna Guacamole...Very tasty BUT I wish there was more guacamole. This was actually diced ahi tuna with a small amount of guacamole blended in with it. It was really good and especially with the lime juice. The local grilled snapper and risotto turned out to be my favorite dish here! The risotto was a whole wheat risotto with a piece of pan grilled red snapper, seasoned and seared perfectly with mushrooms and a side of Swiss chard...ABSOLUTELY DELISH. I also ordered a side of the sautéed Garlic Kale...AMAZING with the lemon juice squeezed in. Mmmmm!!! I may just have to take a trip back to WPB to dine here again! read more

Avoid the Bistro. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The server asked if I would like fries or fruit salad with the order. I selected the fruit salad. The fruit salad contained two grapes and a few pieces of unripened cantaloupe and strawberry. The salad was nearly frozen. I received a bill for a 10 dollar sandwich and a five dollar frozen fruit salad. When I politely questioned why I was being charged for a fruit salad when the server offered fries or a salad as a choice, he became rude and argumentative. I will never eat at the Bistro again. Save yourself the trouble and walk to the nearby shopping center with honest businesses. read more

Stayed at the Marriott, normally I'm not a fan of hotel restaurants because I figure most of the time they price gouge the menu but I tried them out and I was not disappointed.
