We had the pimento mac and cheese double, smashed potatoes double, and French fries. The fried chicken was crispy and tender and I loved the texture of the fries! The Mac and cheese was also had a delicious unique taste. Service was fine for overall, we were waiting for water even after our food got to our table. I was almost going to just give in and head over to Small Bar but then I saw a listing for a place I hadn't ever heard of showing under the blue line on Western and Milwaukee. I noticed they were relatively new without many reviews and I seemed to be getting conflicting info on whether they were actually another bar pop up but given that the address was shared with Oromo Cafe and their burgers AND fries looked good in the few reviews I did find I kept them in the running. In the end I found that the big deciding factor was a sesame seed bun of all things. I ordered ahead online and got an estimated pickup time of 10 mins. I went with the deluxe which comes with 2 beef patties, cheese, bacon, pickles, lettuce, tomato and Harry's sauce and added an order of the beef tallow fries on the side. I headed over and have to say that I was a little worried when I saw what looked like a closed Oromo with no one inside. Once I got closer I noticed that the Harry's sandwich board had been knocked over by the wind and the menu was posted on the door which was not locked so I knew I was in fact in the right place. A few moments after entering the owner came out from the back and asked if I had ordered ahead or if I had come over from the bar next door (Green Eye) because he usually just walks the orders over if you're there. Told him I actually just ordered from home and he confirmed that it'd be ready in a couple of minutes. As it was close to closing time he said he was running low on fries and that he was still going to give me some but that it wouldn't be a full order but that he could try and give me a partial refund or if I wanted I could come back and grab a full order of fries on the house another time. I told him how I was just in town for the weekend to watch my brother's cat so I wasn't sure when I'd be back but it was fine. Headed back and the first thing that hit me was just how good the food smelled in the car. I was practically rushing inside the apartment to get to this burger and those fries and they did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious! The cup of dipping sauce was so good too that I was taking turns dipping the burger and fries in. Quality ingredients throughout. From the meat to the tomato to the pickles, lettuce and bun, everything just worked perfectly. I mean even the bacon which was way crunchier than I usually like tasted good and added a nice texture to each bite.
