This is a super cute truck in the area of the Southernmost Point that offers soft serve ice cream or mini donuts with toppings! The service was quick and there was some seating outside with some sand so even though it is a few blocks inland there was still a relaxed, beach feel to the place. I got the coconut joy mini donuts and my boyfriend got the chocolate paradise ice cream. The mini donuts did get a little soggy from the toppings so I would maybe eat a little faster than I did (though I didn't take an unreasonable amount of time) or go for the ice cream. For Key West, they seemed reasonably priced and hit the spot for something sweet. If you're already in the area and looking for something sweet, I would stop here. read more

We stopped in on our last night in Key West after trying several of the ice cream shops during our stay. I think Rooster Treats is a fun change of pace from the more traditional storefronts lining Duval Street. Instead of a typical shop, it operates out of a permanent trailer. You order from a raised deck platform, then head down to enjoy your treat at one of the tables set up in a makeshift sandy beach area. The whole setup works surprisingly well. It gives you that relaxed, toes-in-the-sand feeling, almost like you're unwinding right by the water. It has a great vibe. We're not huge fans of soft serve, mainly because the flavors and textures can feel limited. Rooster Treats makes up for that with the generous amount of toppings you can add. I ordered the Chocolate Paradise, which came with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious, and the portion size was very good. Ice cream food truck? Yes please!! This truck is sooo cute. Multiple soft serve ice cream choices with many many toppings choices. It's all soft serve, no scoops. The vanilla with key lime sauce is better than the key lime ice cream.. which I find to be more icy (less creamy) than other competing key lime ice creams. The winner however is the warm mini donuts, which is way better than the ice cream. Love the donuts! I just wish they had hot fudge instead of chocolate syrup. An ice cream/dessert place near where I had dinner that night, which included a makeshift beach with tables and chairs. I found the decorations kinda endearing. I had the key lime pie ice cream, which was a soft serve ice cream. This would be my first key lime pie experience in the Florida Keys. It had a heavy lime taste, which I was told is a sign of a good key lime pie. After a disappointing dinner that night, it was nice to end off with something positive. Service, admittedly, was poor. Stopped by here for dessert after an amazing dinner at Milagro. The lady working wasn't very helpful. I didn't understand that the items on the menu were either served as ice cream of on donuts. The donuts smelled amazing and I wanted some ice cream on a donut, but she said they didn't do that. So I chose an ice cream from the menu that had Oreo crushed up on it. The Oreo was the best part! The Key West Sunrise was a clever combination but the nuts tasted a little old too. 2 stars. And then we were impressed by the serving size, but the lady serving us was not very friendly. Ok I'm writing the first review of my life on my wife's account. I took my 11 year old to this place tonight to get some ice cream. When I say the ice cream is terrible it's an understatement. This soft serve is gross and they should be ashamed to sell it. On top of this, the lady working was an absolute nightmare, she was extremely rude to the gentleman in front of me and when I asked if I could sample the key lime ice cream well let's just say this woman should not be serving ice cream to kids and families.
