After reading tons of reviews on different key lime pies in key west, I knew I wanted to stop by Kermit's. The place is surprisingly large. The inside has a merch area where you can order your food and then there's a large patio with ample seating out back. The staff was nice and the key lime pie was really good. I highly recommend checking them out!

They serve an excellent slice of key lime pie! The store sell lots of key lime items but the pie is start of the show. It has a firm tanginess to it and you get a fresh blast of the lime all atop a firm biscuit base. They do use fresh cream on top of the pie and I did think it was a bit too much for my preference. There's a nice sitting area at the rear of the store where you can relax and enjoy your pie. A slice sells for $5.95 Service is quick and friendly. Pay at the counter.

Cute little shop! Decorated bright and cheerful. Seating inside is air conditioned-it was a good break from the heat. We went in because we wanted to try their take on a key lime pie. It was good and had a lot of flavor- What was really good were the key lime cookies- you can go in and try them- both gluten free and regular. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Only the packaging left of this tasty piece of pie

After touring the national park we had ask the local guide for the best key lime desserts. Immediately said Kermit's. Such a quite cozy place. They have a lot of options and we scooped up some pie and heading away. Really good tangy pie ;) so good we forgot the before pictures but made sure we showed it was really that good :)

Kermit's has the best homemade key lime pie in the Florida keys!!! They gave service with a smile as usual. The ambiance is a sweet little key lime pie shop!!! We will be back!!!

Stopped in for a quick slice of key lime pie. Didn't try other places in the area so can't say if this is the best in the area but it was really good. Able to pop in and grab a quick prepackaged slice. Their was plenty of seating out back where you can enjoy the pie after. Now for the pie it was amazing! Not too sweet not too tart, it was perfect. Staff were friendly and the store was very well decorated. Really gave the key west vibe. They also had a little cookie crisp area where you could try some different cookies before purchasing a larger bag.

I just love Kermit's! The ambiance and decor feel so key west, and the staff is out of this world! I tried the line made and key lime pie - delish!

Wow We came here just to see about the pie but the cookies were outstanding. We ended up getting the key lime coolers which were delicious $10 a bag but well worth it The lady Tracy at the counter was super friendly and gave us all kinds of good information of places to eat. Beautiful little shop with happy green and yellow colors. I like it here..

I will start with I don't like key lime pie. But how can you not get key lime pie in the key lime pie city? I shared a slice with my family just to have a taste and say we got real key lime pie... we ended up all getting a slice and wanting more. Kermit's converted me to a key lime pie lover! Tangy, sweet, and balanced. Not overly puckery. After the pie, make sure you try the cookie bar. Very interesting flavors of cookies that you won't find anywhere else. If you are in key west, this is a must do!

Came here for dessert since they offer GF items. I had a GF key lime pie and they also had GF key lime coolers which I bought to take home. Love how they have GF options.

Sorry! We were so excited I forgot to take the picture before we had a few bites.

So, so good! Get the original - it was the BEST we had while in Florida and their crust is divine! We tried the strawberry, too, but preferred the original. We also met Kermit at the door! Love how cute the shop was and both Kermit and the staff were awesome.

Yummy and friendly dessert parlor of all things Key lime. We popped in and had frozen slices of Key lime pie on a stick covered with milk and white chocolate. The chocolate complemented the tartness of the Key lime and made for a tasty frozen dessert. The atmosphere is adorable and inviting. While Key lime is not a dessert I generally gravitate towards, I had to try it while here in Key West.

Cute, cute, cute and delicious pie! A must stop locale for key lime lovers! Friendly service. Lots of adorable merch too.

We were quoted a wait, so we grabbed a couple seats at the bar instead, which ended up being the right move. I'll admit, at first glance I thought this might be one of those touristy waterfront spots that survives mostly because of its location. I was wrong. The bartender pointed us toward a couple of dishes that he said were favorites, and he absolutely nailed it. I had the local catch of the day with vegetables and a chimichurri sauce that was incredible. My husband ordered a pasta dish that the bartender said was a staff favorite, and he loved it. The food was excellent, but the bartender really elevated the experience. He was funny, easy to talk to, and knew the menu well enough to steer us in the right direction. The waterfront location doesn't hurt either. We arrived tired, hungry, and not expecting much. We left talking about how good the meal was. The fish was, in fact, off the hook.

We arrived in the middle of their happy hour, so naturally the place was packed FYI-There are only certain tables available near the bar & of course the bar itself that you're able to sit for their HH opportunity. We were a party of four and a very nice group offered us their spot as they were leaving. We had to grab it quickly as a few other people were also trying to swoop in! So, we had to clean the table (didn't mind) and set aside their drinks and bill. Then, we waited, waited and waited until FINALLY our server arrived. She did express her gratitude for us having cleared the space. We ordered our drinks and the crab cakes as an appetizer. That didn't take to long. The crab cakes were average. Nothing like my grandmother made being from the east coast! I wasn't impressed with them at all. I had the conch soup, which is suppose to be like a manhattan clam chowder. Luke warm at best. Extremely bland and for $13?! It was not worth the price or portion. Another family member tried the bacon wrapped shrimp and seemed to really enjoy it. Another member in our group had the burger and it was just average. The oysters were delicious, but not hard to mess that up! Over priced for a below average dining experience. Would not be a place we would return. That said, the atmosphere is wonderful and the view from the restaurant (especially in the evening) was lovely.

Grab a seat, order a cold beer, watch the boats come and go, and enjoy some seafood. Sometimes that's all you need. We stopped in for a pitcher of beer and a few bites. The clams were fresh, the seafood was good, and the service was friendly and attentive without hovering. What I liked most was that the place doesn't try to be anything other than what it is. No frills, no gimmicks, just a dockside seafood spot serving cold drinks and fresh seafood with a great view. I've heard they're known for happy hour, but we didn't make it for that. Based on our visit, I'd happily come back and give it a try next time. If you're looking for waterfront dining without all the fuss, this place is worth a stop.

We came with a larger party, so we all were able to try several items on the menu. To be fair, no one in our group tried the raw oysters, but we did have: drinks, appetizers, salads, and a variety of items off their dinner menu. The calamari and crab fritters were just okay, with the tomato dipping sauce being weird. The entree's were very disappointing. My daughter ordered the Rib Eye, which was paper thin 1/2" or less and flavorless. My wife had blackened grouper topped with crab, she felt the fish was fresh, but lacked any flavor enhancements that could make it better. My son ordered the fish sandwich which he said was just okay. We split a green salad that had one tomato, the lettuce was not cut, the croutons were stale. I ordered the Garlic Shellfish Combo. The combo was supposed to have clams, mussels, crab, lobster, shrimp, corn on the cob, red potatoes, garlic Cuban bread. I had one edible clam, the others did not open, it had 2 shrimp, three potatoes a crab claw in a garlic broth. Everything was Luke warm at best. The server smiled briefly but was curt with our large party. This is a popular place, but I don't get the hype. I'm hoping maybe next time I come to Key West to visit again.

The place is very small and very packed, so I would advise to get there either early or filter to run for a later brunch. The space is pretty small, but it is really cute and the baked goods are insane and gone by 10 on a Friday. Fresh baked bread fresh pastries looked unbelievably good. They have a large selection of fresh maid smoothies, and juices made while you wait which is perfect for after a night of drinking! I saw some pictures on Yelp of the eggs Benedict and they have a full page devoted to different types of eggs Benedict. I decided on this smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was probably the best I've ever eaten in my life in any country. It was literally that outstanding!! The food comes out relatively fast although they're insanely busy and it's efficient.. It's not a place you lounge around with a lot of people - eat and get out, because there is a line waiting to be seated no matter what day what time. These servers really hustle too. This place is also known for its coffee which they have a lot of different varieties iced and hot and it's absolutely top-notch, pair that with some fresh baked goods and you've got yourself one hell of a start to your day.
