Went to Roosters because we were craving wings and they have the biggest ones around. We started with a porter beer and potato skins which were very good. We split a large Red Rooster salad, the dressing is similar to a western dressing. My son had boneless wings with a mixture of teriyaki, Korean bbq and sweet Thai chili. They were really good. I anxiously awaited Roosters reopening, waited til January and chose to go on a Thursday night. Loved the new layout. Though the parking lot was full, we didn't have to wait. Our waitress was pleasant, brought our drinks promptly. Our menus were sticky, kinda like someone's 5 year old played with them after eating. I ordered my beloved Roosters nest, my husband had only been once before, I used to be a regular. He wasn't a fan, I said well you've never had a roosters nest then, he gave it another chance. He ordered potato skins, which had no flavor, not even bacon which was all that was on the small, pale, pathetic tiny wedges. Sadly, they've destroyed the roosters nest, literally no chicken, supposedly a boneless wings?!?! lol a portion of a thin breast tenderloin, so small they curled up in the fryer..... tough, unseasoned, awful. No tomatoes. A shit ton of overpowering chopped onion and lots and lots of green onion, the stink of onion, was worse than the undercooked unseasoned curly fries, the cheese sauce isn't the same, it's a gelled processed nasty cheese product. Way to go, roosters, especially by not only degrading your products to the cheapest form. But, also increasing the price by 3 dollars! So, I'm good. Roosters is amazing. This one is located across the river in Indiana. Roosters is by far my favorite wing place I believe their wings are very large compared to some other places like a BW3 or Beef O'Brady's. The Waitresses are always really nice people are good they got great cold draft beer I got hot wings always go with the donkey wings with ranch and fries with no telling how much money I've spent in this place to be honest. But I've never had a bad meal here, steak and potato chicken wing type of dude and this is right up my alley I put this above Hooters I put this above any other wing place this is by far my favorite sports bars American bar whatever you want to call it. Ordered carryout due to the crazy stuff happening, and well it was ok. We got honey bbq boneless wings, salad and a bbq bacon cheeseburger with wedges. They forgot one of the salad dressings, things happen and good thing i had some at home lol. The wedges were good and the burger not bad but a little greasy. The wings were edible but not good enough to be known as a wing place. They were kinda soggy and the honey bbq was so so. I had to call in my order because the online ordering wouldn't take my gift card, but that went smooth and pickup was fairly easy. Well I used to be a Roosters regular. That was 2 years ago. In my previous review I explained why I was no longer going to patronize Roosters. Today, while in Clarksville, my wife suggested we give them another try after two years of boycotting. I'm happy to report today's lunch reminded me why I used to be a regular. My wife ordered the boneless wings lunch special ($5.99) which came with a side of wedges. I ordered 5 traditional wings ($5.29) plus a side of wedges ($1.99). All the food came out piping hot and fresh. None of the extra greasy, warmed over, we experienced previously. Additionally Roosters has several beers on tap at reasonable prices. I go to this location sometimes during games when I want bar food and beer. The kids love this place too. The prices are very reasonable here and there are no less than twenty tvs in this place. I've been visiting this location for many years and it hardly ever disappoints. When it comes to wings they simply can't be beat. Their late hours are excellent for the hungry late crowd. Their service is usually decent and the prices are excellent for the portions. Honestly Buffalo Wild Wings can't even hold a candle to Roosters. Their ranch is house made and delicious, their wing sauces tasty, and chicken quality is excellent. No frozen wings allowed! I also enjoy many of their appetizers. Mini corn dogs, loaded fries, nachos, and chili cheese wedges are legendary. There is hardly anything to complain about here in all my visits. We dropped by for lunch because I was told that they have great wings and fish as well as one of our crew had a crush on one of the servers. Fair enough, let's go. The general feel is of a slightly run-down sportsbar. Like a once-great linebacker who pulled his hamstring one too many times but can still make a tackle, the feel is a bit downtrodden, but not disgusting. It makes sense. The location is right between Lewis and Clark and Veterans; two stretches of road that have the greatest economic disparity to geographic location gap in the area. There are plenty of TV's, but lunch on a Friday doesn't give you much selection. Speaking of selection, the beer list looked decent but, alas, I had to go back to work and ordered water. The menu is decent and there are a good number of lunch options. Not being a wing guy, I went for the fish sandwich. It was huge! This resulted in a bit of messiness at the end as the sandwich struggled to maintain form. There was not enough tartar sauce for the amount of fish and it ended up being a little bland on the white bun with scant, flavorless tomatoes. I also had the fried mac & cheese and would recommend this triangular delight. Service was quick and attentive. Definitely hit the standard but didn't really try to set any records. If massive amounts greasy, chicken skin are your thing - this is your place. This location opened recently. A co-worker recommended the Dixie Hwy location and raved about how good the wings were. My friends and I were in the neighborhood and hungry so we decided to try it. The hostess and waitress were friendly so no complaints there. We asked our waitress what was good. She recommend a couple of salads, sandwiches and chicken fingers. We should have followed her advice but we wanted wings. With a name like "roosters" you would assume the wings rock - right? Wrong, wrong, wrong! You can have your order of wings in one sauce only - they won't let you do 6 of one sauce and 6 of another (like BW3s). The sauce selection wasn't that great but we ordered a variety. We waited and waited for 45 minutes until it arrived. When we received our wings they looked pretty large but not crispy as I like them. As we ate, huge amounts of grease and oil dripped down our hands. We also noticed that each wing had a freakish amount of skin. I'm not exaggerating here - there was so much thick, greasy skin that it was almost disgusting. One of the guys got a pizza because the picture looked appetizing. Well, he wasn't impressed. When the waitress brought it out we all laughed. He wasn't laughing though, he said it tasted worse than a $1.00 Totinos frozen pizza from Walmart. As long as it took them to get us our food - the pizza probably did come from Walmart. Sports Bar for sure! I counted 18 TV's, but I may have missed a few. Everything is served a la carte. For a sports bar, the food is pretty good. Salads are very good. Veggie burger is o.k., as are the burgers. Marinated chicken sandwich has an excellent flavor. The chips are wonderful. Not chips from a bag. Chips they make on site, crispy with some mysterious seasoning. No veggies; so if you are eating healthy, you are going to have to order a salad or the grilled marinated chicken sandwich. Be prepared, it can be very loud in there. Ashley, our server, sat at our table to take our orders, so it's a very casual place. She did a fine job meeting our needs and making suggestions. Hello, my name is Brandon and I have been a huge fan of Roosters food, waitresses, and environment for the past 2 years. I have been a loyal customer and have had no complaints with them until now. Today at approximately 5 p.m., (December 21, 2019) 3 of my friends and I decided to come to the restaurant for chicken and a beer. We arrived, everything seemed as usual. We asked for beer and the waitress who's name I cannot recall, checked our ID's as she is required to do - all as normal. 3/4 of us were cleared. 1 of my friend's ID's was suspicious to her. He is 23 years old and has never been denied anywhere. Somehow his ID was printed wrong by the State of Indiana with the color of pink and bar code on the back being non-standard. As her job requires, the waitress elected to take it to the manager for a second opinion - we had no issues with that. After a few minutes, I saw them still debating the issue as they had their manual out comparing pictures of acceptable ID's vs. my friends ID. We became restless and wanted to either be waited on, or leave to go to another restaurant. I approached the manager with my friend's ID in question, along with mine for comparison. I could see the difference, but I wanted to attempt to explain the situation and hoped for his approval. I expressed my concerns and he instantly became very defensive. He handled my concerns in a super unprofessional manner. He raised his voice in a condescending manner and instantly shot down my concerns as he would not hear me out. He made me feel uncomfortable, and totally disrespected. I have worked in restaurants and customer service in the past. I totally understand their concern and decision of not wanting to accept my friend's ID, risking repercussions if it was a fake. What I do not find acceptable at any time in a customer service industry, is being rude to a customer when concerns are being expressed - no matter their demeanor. I can assure that I was not rude in approaching my concerns, but the manager was very rude in the way he handled them. I have always had great experiences with Roosters and am familiar with many people there who would say they've never had a negative experience from me. I do not appreciate the unacceptable customer service of this manager, who I will not name. I didn't want to do this, but I am disappointed that I felt it was necessary for me to take time out of my day to make an account on this website and write this review. I would never go out of my way to make somebody look bad if it wasn't deserving. I will continue being a loyal customer at my favorite restaurant, but I hope no other customers will experience the same treatment as my friends and I did today. I hope the manager I spoke with is given a lesson on proper customer service skills, because he obviously lacks those. read more

The first time I ordered the chicken parm sandwich with fried chicken. It was delicious. The next time we got the wings with lots of different sauces. We loved them all. Went to Roosters tonight with my fiance and it was our first time there. The waitress started off nice until at the end when I questioned 2 charges on the bill. My fiance got the big Bob's burger. When we 1st ordered there was no mention of a extra charge for cheese, just what kind would you like. Got a salad and did get 1 extra cup of dressing but was charged for 2. When I approached our waitress about it she pulled an attitude . I just asked when you get a salad shouldn't it come with dressing. I have no problem with paying a little extra for 1 more. Then going to say about the cheese that everyone wants it. But failed to mention that there would be an up charge. When we spoke the waitress kept saying sure, sure & then said we can't stand there & argue all night. I was calm & so was my fiance. So didn't appreciate her tone with us. Asked for a manager and they didn't come to speak with us, because they were working in the kitchen. Feel that wasn't very professional. Another waitress did take off the extra charges. I came in to enjoy a drink in the bar after my shift and while the service was great, it felt like a very unwelcoming place. I understand closing time is at midnight but I was half way through my beer and the manager came up at midnight and turned on all the lights, turned off TVs, and turned off the music. There were still plenty of people at the bar so this felt somewhat unacceptable. People come to roosters because they are open late and it's a good place to unwind and relax after work. I'm not sure if I will come back and give my money to a place that rushes their guests and makes them feel like they are an inconvenience. Sad to see. read more

The wings here are fantastic. They are large, in charge, and priced right. Some of the sauces are incredibly greasy, but that's a given, considering what wings are. The hottest sauces also actually have flavor, which is often sacrificed by other places (BWW) in the name of making it as hot as possible ("LOOK AT HOW HOT THE WINGS i'M EATING ARE! I'M SUCH A MANLY MAN! AAARRGH!") The sides range from "meh" to "rock on" and it tends to depend on the night. I've never experienced bad service at this location, no matter what time or day I've gone. The ambiance is typical sports bar, and you'll never need to strain your neck to watch some type of sport. There's also usually a good variety of stuff going on, unless it's a major game or event (World Series, NCAA championships, etc.). I even got to watch my alma mater Indiana State play football against Purdue when I went for a late lunch one day. All-in-all, if you want wings, this is the place for those in Southern Indiana. read more

We were near the drink station and one waitress while standing next to our table and my three children said the F word. My husband loves his place. Me on the other hand, I could take it or leave it. The good points are the multiple TVs which are always on the sports stations, and the Italian sandwich. That's about all I can brag about. Oh and the dumpster wedges those are pretty darn good with the dumpster sauce that they make. The pizzas usually come out over cooked. The chicken wings are mediocre. Nice selection of sauces though. The sweet tea always has a funky taste. The buffalo chicken wrap wasn't too bad. Been meaning to try this place for a while and we finally did. I'm impressed. The boneless wings were tender and large with a light breading. Kind of like chick-fila. About half the breading of BW3s and twice the chicken. Not too impressed with the curly fries. Seemed to be under cooked. Probably give them another try just to see if it was a bad day. Seemed slow when we went but it was early Saturday. Most of the action was in their bar. The wait staff didn't seem to be in a hurry as far as refills or the check.
