Anyway, the server, Waverly, brought my food out to my car and we had like "real conversation" as I filled out my cc slip. Georgetown folks love their wings...This is yet another place for that. It is located by the new Kroger location. Easy to pick up food here on way home after grocery shopping. I am bad for that. I shop on an empty stomach and then don't want to wait to cook when I get home before eating. This place is for people like me. Wings came to table pretty quickly. The wings them selves well pretty good. Nothing to write home about but did fill the tummy. The place was clean and not overly crowded. The staff were nice and friendly somewhat chatty. There were lots of TVs to zoom into if you wanted to watch a game or ignore your company at the table. This has great indoor and outdoor seating. I'm giving them a 3 star for average. This place is right down the street from me. When it opened, I would have said it had the best wings. I went Monday. The girl serving us was very rude. A "what do you want" attitude the whole time. The wings were ok but they charge you for extra sauce and extra ranch. Also for $2.29 the fries could be a little more filled. So right when we got our food our "what do you all want " waitress dropped off the ticket and said" no rush I just wanted to make sure you had it". That running you off. I did notice the couple besides us during beer did not get the same treatment as us. She had not given them a ticket because they had a bill to run up on beer wilhich would grab her a bigger tip. Went to Roosters for the first time in 2 years. Had a bad experience at a different location the last time I went, but figured I'd give it another shot since we had a coupon and it was 75 cent wing night. The place wasn't busy at all at 6 pm so that should've been the first clue. We sat down and ordered an app, and 50 wings. Once we got our water, and food we never saw our waitress for at least 15-20 mins. We eventually had to flag her down so we could get more to drink. I hadn't seen her in so long that I even forgot what she looked like at that point. The food was awful. Our boneless wings were severely over cooked. They were super dry, and would get caught in my throat as I ate them causing me to choke. Literally 0 moisture in them at all, and it had burnt bits of fat/cartilage on them. You'd think a place that specializes in chicken would know how to cook it. I'm not one to leave reviews, but I felt this one warranted one because of how awful the overall experience was. The place looks cool, everything else about it is just awful. Would strongly recommend no one eat here or eat at any roosters restaurants. You'd be better off going into Kroger across the street and buying a bag of pre cooked Tyson's chicken than going in here. Go to literally any other place and you will be far better off. read more

I hadn't been out to eat and have a beer in a VERY long time. My friend talked me into going to Roosters in Georgetown, KY. At first everything was fine. We ordered pretzels with cheese sauce. My friends cheese sauce had a pubic hair! It was easy to tell what kinda of hair it was! She told the bartender/waitress, she immediately took the cheese sauce away and brought her another container of cheese sauce. I was so discussed I couldn't eat my food. We were getting ready to leave. I paid for my food with cash and left a 3$ tip, my friend hadn't paid for her food yet. Someone from the kitchen came out and insulted me by saying," you only left 3$ and these waitresses only make minimum wage" well, that's all I had. And my bill was 16 dollars and some change. My friend told her it was none of her business. The lady started yelling at us. The manager came out and told us to leave. So, I picked my 3$ tip up and left. The whole time the lady from the kitchen was out on the balcony she was smoking. There is several signs posted "no smoking within 25 feet of balcony" I even took her picture smoking. No one said anything to her about yelling at me or about her smoking. I'm every allergic to cigarette smoke. Today I'm coughing and sick. We had very horrible treatment there. I had a Togo order and it leaked grease all over the bag... like an excessive amount of grease like if your face in middle school after you didn't wash it for a week. At first I thought it was just going to be another chicken place but I was totally wrong about that. They have a great menu selection. Their wings are less expensive than competitors, as well as tasted better in my opinion. There's a ton of different tvs all around the dining area and bar, so you could potentially watch any and all sports at the same time. Great for families or date night occasions. I've visited the Roosters in Lexington and had decent food so thought I'd try this location which is closer to home for me. The food was fresh and tasted good. Service was fast and friendly as well. My only complaint was about being charged for sauce for our sandwiches. 60 added cents for a 1 oz cup of ranch dressing? Seemed like a bit much. Other than that good experience. I have no idea why I keep coming here. There are a lot of people complaining about slow/bad service, but I'm usually at the bar so I can only comment on the bad food. It comes out quickly, but I assume that's because most of it has been sitting around for a while. I think it's getting steadily worse over time, but I'm not desensitized to its badness yet. Boneless wings just taste stale and or overcooked. Last time I got Potato Skins they had that old, wrinkly look to them. They had aged poorly, but I think they also started out as tiny, sickly potatoes, so... Not a fan, but I'm sure I'll be back to get a beer, then order food I won't enjoy. Maybe there was a fire in the kitchen? My order was partially wrong, which hasn't happened often but it has happened a few times. Is it incumbent on me to ask for another drink? There were only 4 other people at the bar, but I sat with an empty glass for 20 minutes waiting for my to-go order. This would be the second time that I've dined at a Roosters. There's a reason for that. It's, simply, not good. I will give kudos to the servers; they were very attentive and friendly. Let's move on to the...food. They specialize in frying chicken; it's not that difficult to perform this task. The food was really good when we finally got it, and got the mistakes corrected. The server somehow dropped my burger and part of it went in my wife's purse (which the server proceeded to reach in her purse and take the tomatoes and lettuce out). We got our order of fries with bacon and cheese on top, but the bacon was cold & uncooked. But, again, I must admit, when we got it all and started eating, it was great! We love the food at roosters but the service sucked tonight. After our waitress, Destinee, took our orders we didn't see her again until our food was brought out. After our food was delivered we didn't see her again until she brought the check. My drink was empty for 1/2 of my dinner and my daughters was also empty and I really wanted to order a desert but we were never asked if we wanted/needed anything else. I have been here several times and thought the restaurant was having growing pains since it was relatively new. I like to wait to review until the restaurant has been open for a few months. But it's now been quite awhile and food and service is still very poor. Here are examples from my visit today. Keep in mind, there were only a couple people at the bar and one table was filled when we arrived. We had a party of 8. - place was cold - silverware was dirty - when food was served, people were still missing silverware, we had to ask again for silverware - silverware was tossed at us - had to ask several times for lemons for tea - no condiments were served with the chicken and none were offered, same with roasted potatoes; no mayo, no pickles, no special sauce, no sour cream, no mustard; nothing; ketchup was on the table - Mayo was brought in packets after we asked, fast food style - Everything is a la carte, ice tea was $2.99 - Really felt like we were bothering the waitress, like she was busy in back (maybe she was cooking too?) Quite strange because it had the possibility of being a really cool place to go here in Georgetown. read more

This place is a wonderful place to eat on a small budget. They have many different types of chicken from boneless wings to salads with grilled chicken. I enjoy their large salad with grilled chicken but I always start with the nachos. They are usually busy but keep the food moving quickly. read more

It's a very clean and nice atmosphere in here. Soup and salad or chili and salad is what I ordered along it's the cheesy bacon wedges. The salad was awesome alone with the wedges. Chili was nothing special. Amanda was an awesome server along that her manager on staff, they accommodated us with turning the tv and having some volume to be turned up. Food is typical sports bar fried food. Wings are good (Mon night 59 cents each) but only a couple of good sauces. Service is usually poor. Jodi, Tami, Mandie and Haws are the only good ones.
