My Roosters experience was definitely one of the worst dining experiences of all time. On arrival, they told me I could accompany a booth for six or wait on a table for seven. I chose to wait so all of my friends could sit comfortably. When our table was vacant, we all sat down only to be told to get up. The server that sat us " didn't know what she was doing" [said host] the table was being used in a party of 15. I assumed it was first come first serve, my mistake. We waited an extra 20 mins for that table to just end up at a booth that's too small. We talked to the manager, and we finally were seated at an accommodating table. The hosts then proceeded to give dirty looks when we finally sat at a table that sat 7 since there was 7 not six with us. The people who work here are rude and trust me I've worked in the food industry serving (for 6 years before moving on into my career field now) but this is completely uncalled for and the respect level for the paying patrons blows my mind. This is a management issue not the young host (who looked liked Wednesday adams) fault it's that management lets this treatment of paying customers continue. I will never be back but that's okay there is plenty of great places in Louisville to eat! It won't be missed. Overall the service was a 3/10 and the food was closer to a 4/10. read more

I have been told to try this place by at least five friends. Everyone sings praise of it. Unfortunately I am not sure if it was a off night or what. The service was great. The waitress was courteous and attentive. However the wings were really over cooked and super dry. As if they were forgotten in the frier. Which may be the case we waited quite some time for our food. The sauce tasted bland and so did the bleu cheese and ranch which i used a lot to counter the desert that was the chicken in those wings. On the inside Roosters looks very similar to a Hooters but don't be fooled, the food here is far superior in my opinion. The wings themselves are larger and the variety of sauce choices is better. I like that you can combine sauces also. My husband always gets garlic, teriyaki and medium all tossed together. I normally order a burger which you can get dressed with jalapeños, mushrooms, bacon, different cheeses and of course the usual suspects. I also love the chili cheese fries. Nothing really unique but just very tasty. The price is what really seals the deal for me. I'd say on average their items are around 2-3 dollars cheaper than the competition and I think the quality and taste are far superior. And for those of you who are concerned about these types of things, I think the girls who work at Roosters are more attractive than your average Hooters girl. They do wear a little bit more clothing but none the less they are super attractive and friendly. read more

Horrible experience, without ever being seated!!! Walked in told there was a 35 minute wait. "No Problem" we put our name on list, in the meantime numerous tables opened up. Staff still could not seat patrons. Asked the hostess why she stated " the manager won't let me seat anyone because the kitchen is behind". Bad managerial skills!!! Could have seated people compt them a soft drink or at least let the people sit and order some beer! No we had to stand and wait. But wait we did not, someone else got our business! When we left the hostess go a little saucy! Need to check her manners!!!! It's a shame, me and my family & friends eat here regularly and spend lots of money there! The wings at Roosters are great, my favorites are the Carolina gold and the medium, although the Donkey and Killer are good too. Unfortunately, the night I visited this location, my waitress did not bring her "A" , "B" or even "C" game.Simple drinks ( Soda and Beer) took forever, orders were not correct, and the worst part was that our waitress didn't seem to care. They were not busy at all, but our glasses sat empty far longer than they were full and simple things like napkins and wetnaps, essentials for wing eating, were not given without us asking at least twice. We should have alerted management, but we couldn't find them and we really didn't want to ruin our evening trying. I understand having an off night, so I may give this location another try, otherwise it'll be back to the Middletown location where service seems to always be great. read more

Roosters is our main family go-to spot. They have a wide variety of offerings, and the biggest traditional chicken wings around. I highly recommend doing a Carolina Gold-Donkey mix, which are the perfect blend of sweet and heat. The pizzas are surprisingly good for a chicken wing place and all the sandwiches and burgers are well prepared. For an indulgent appetizer, don't pass up the chili cheese tots. Service is always on point even on busy nights. The waitstaff pitches in to help each other out, which is always great for the customers. Keep it up! read more

Just left, and after eating 10 wings I feel like I have drunk two cups of warm Crisco. They are breaded pretty heavily and really greasy on the inside, but the wedges were great. The unsweet tea was undrinkable, I'm not sure what was wrong with it. A fountain coke saved the day. I visited this establishment today in order to celebrate with my brother and sister-in-law. We bought three burgers, a appetizer of chicken wings, and a dish of tater tots. The waitress told us that we would be getting a large order of tater tots at no additional cost due to an overabundance of tots in the kitchen. Apparently six tater tots is "a large". The chicken wings were sub-par and still frozen, while the coating barely had any sauce. The burgers, oh good god the burgers. My burger came out with tomato and onion even though I specifically asked for lettuce and american cheese only. My sister-in-law's came absolutely DRENCHED in mayo even though she wanted tomato and ketchup. My brother's came dressed perfectly fine... until we bit into them. Uncooked blood dripped from the charcoal like patties into the mouths of my brother and I, the feeling reminding us of losing teeth as children due to the increasing flavor of pennies on our tongues. The waitress tried to fight us about how all burgers come bloodied and the manager, in all her wisdom, saw fit to issue us a null check. TL;DR this joint sucked, I'd rather just eat Cluckers and Hooters for wings. read more

One of our favorite places for chicken. Always start with the fried macaroni bites appetizer . Hot, gooey and cheesy. It's Mac n cheese... fried!! You can't go wrong there! For entrees, I had the half order of strips dipped in honey BBQ sauce with a side of onion feathers (aka onion petals). If you order onion feathers ask for an extra side of feather sauce... you will not regret it. It's so addicting (think thousand island dressing meets horseradish, and other secret ingredients). Husband got the wings and dumpster tots. All food was great as usual! Place was crowded due to the U.K. basketball game then followed up by the UL basketball game. Regardless of how crowded it was our waitress didn't miss a beat. She was on top of drinks making sure we never saw the bottom of the glass, and checked on us often. First of all this is my first review ever of a restaurant or on yelp but I left so disappointed I felt inclined to write a review. My family went there for my daughter's birthday at her request and there were 7 people total in our group. The first thing I noticed upon entering is that none of the servers had their hair pulled back. I have never been to a restaurant where any employee had their hair down and there was one server in particular who had hair to her waist. Our family ordered several appetizers including fried mushrooms and corn dogs. This was the first clue that I would leave upset. I am not sure when appetizers turned into single servings but the portions were extremely small and really not even enough for two people and the price was high. The mushrooms were $5.99 a serving and we ordered 2. The mini corn dogs were the ones you can buy in the freezer section from any grocery store nothing special. Let me also bring up the fact that none of the sandwiches or subs come with fries or any side for that matter. The sandwiches we purchased ranged between $5.99 and $8.00 and then an additional $3.00 for fries. Again I have never been anywhere where you don't get at least one side with a sandwhich. Now let me tell you about the sandwhich. I ordered the grilled Parmesan Chicken sandwhich and when it arrived it looked like it should have come off the child's menu. It was on a sub roll not a bun even though it was listed under sandwhiches and they do have another section listed for subs. Notice I said sub roll not bun. The bun was so small it was not even the size of 6 inch sub from you know who. Now let me tell you about the chicken. The narrow strip of chicken on the bun was as wide as the bun which was about 2 inches wide and literally looked like a single chicken strip and it did not go to the full ends of the bun. There was about 1/2 inch on either end of the bun. I thought well maybe it will taste good and I can overlook the portion size but no I was wrong again. The bread was hard and chewy so I resorted to just eating the chicken which was just ok. My mother had just the plain grilled chicken sandwhich and she also received a strip on a roll and nothing special. I know she has gotten better chicken sandwhiches as have I through a fast food drive thru that come with both fries and a drink at a fraction of the cost. Other members of the party got a burger which looked ok and a chicken wrap that seemed like more than a generous size so I do not know why anyone would think that the chicken sandwhiches they are serving are up to par. My husband and son got the chicken wings and they also looked ok but just ok for the price. Our bill including tip was approximately $150. Our whole party got water and I spent $16 on my meal alone(chicken sandwhich, fries and fried mushrooms) and at 125 pounds this was the first time I have ever left a restaurant not full with no carry out box. Do I recommend Roosters no I don't and I would never. read more

WTF! I am so..... Horrible waitress! (long ponytail, working the right side of the bar Sat. Night) Horrible MANAGER...Jeff! Management Advice 101... Do not manage ANYTHING if you have conflict issues! The waitress (Longer ponytail, working the right side area of the center/main around 10pm) clearly suffered from (not wanting to work or interracial issues) which led to my dissatisfaction of the establishment. We were seated in an area that wasn't very busy or full, after a lenghty wait I noticed the area waitress clear across the room, and on return to the area without so much as a "hello" or "I'll be right with you" I'm not buying that...maybe something awful just happened....NO! if so then do not work, do not interact, why should a paying customer be subject to issues. It's just not fair. Here's the kicker... I'm not an angry person by natured after her service (with nonalcoholic drinks instead of the drinks we ordered) followed by the "I can't confront conflict" manager's action to not respond (but send another waitress over to our table to tell us that he will be over as soon as the bar tender returns. WTF! So people at this bar cannot wait 2 minutes to hear a dissatisfied customer's complaint. Wow! All I could think of doing then was whooping her ass...then the manager's. After another lenghty wait, (without talking to scary little Jeff, the manager) we left and went a few blocks down the road to Hooter's and received prompt friendly, non ensecure, non I'm afraid of conflict issues from a CUTE waitress!
