He begins with the traditional shiatsu diagnosis using acupressure, which tells him where my body is out of balance. Even though I've had shiatsu many times, this still seems kind of amazing: "how did he know what hurt without my telling him?" For those who have only had traditional massage, Shiatsu is different: I wear yoga clothes or light garments and the kneading, stretching, tapping, and soothing are done without oil. However, when I went to schedule a massage a few months later (and when I finally could get through to a person), I was told there were no massages that I had available. The secretary said the owner was the only one who could handle this, but she never got back to me. I tried email, telephone messages, and even direct text and calls to the owner as originally she was the one who did the initial call to determine the best type of massage and which therapist would be best, so I had her phone number. So she took my money for no services. Now, apparently, it's just the owner, Stephanie, doing massages and no one else. No one answers the phone. Disorganized. The massage therapist I had before was excellent (not Stephanie), but I can not get through to find out where she went. Stephanie was very disorganized, extremely late to the original call, and took my money(!) never getting back to me to either reimburse or let me schedule the massage. I would not go there again!
