Their billing service sucks, had a root canal done about 3 years ago. They do ask for payments up front. All was good, we paid in full. Till Today almost 3 years later I get a bill for 29.00 dollars and a warning. They claim that their computers periodically generate and send bills automatically, which we never received at all. They only send final warning bills ........and they said we have up to 7 years to bill you......... very rood person I would never deal with them nor would I recommend to anyone read more

I had to edit my review. Something odd happened at my endodontics appointment. They called my medical insurance and told me I do not have coverage. I corrected them and gave them the DENTAL card and said THIS was the number to call. Right in front of me she said she called and they said I do not have coverage. That is odd because when I was changing insurance later my original dental insurer said indeed I DID have endodontic coverage, not high, but I had it. I am wondering if they told me I do not have it so they could get more when I signed the self pay agreement because this would be more than the contractual agreement amount. I am waiting for this to be resolved, but I would exercise caution about what coverage you have and what agreement for payment you enter into with them. read more

Dr. Shbeeb and his team are amazing! From the second I walked in I was valued and cared for. The ladies in the front, the gentleman who brought me back and prepped me, and Dr Shbeeb made me feel like an individual who was important to them. I was terrified to have a root canal. I had never had one before. Everything was explained to me before the procedure was done and my post procedure instructions were very clear. Dr Shbeeb took great care of me and numbed me very well. I literally didn't feel a thing during my root canal! In fact I almost fell asleep during the procedure. I am three days post procedure and I do not have any nerve pain at all. My jaw is a little sore but I am following the instructions given to me and it is very manageable. Thank you Dr Shbeeb and thank you to the entire team that cared for me! I hope to never need a root canal again but if I do there is no question where I will go. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this place! You will not regret it! read more

Your staff failed to tell me that there will be a charge of $430 for the office visit when I checked in. I was only told this as I was leaving. Your staff stated that they check with the insurance company every month to ask what their new policy is regarding charges and hence they had not told me the charges over the phone. However, that does not explain why they did not tell me that when I first checked in. Furthermore, insurance is a yearly thing from my perspective. I sign up for a year and my copay doesn't change every month and to me it seems odd that the insurance company would tell you different rates for customers for each month. On the positive side, your staff remained friendly and professional at all times. I did not have to wait around to see the doctor. read more

I would actually like to give this zero stars but unfortunately it requires at least one star. Because of the pain I was in I was referred by my dentist to see an endodontist to possibly have a root canal. She referred me to Root 66 Endodontics. After seeing Dr. Vongphoe he explained to me that I needed two root canals even though I was having pain in only one tooth. After speaking to my childhood dentist I was informed to make sure I didn't have a vertical fracture or else the root canal wouldn't work. You need to put in a green dye to find a vertical fracture so when I asked Dr. Vongphoe about the dye he informed me they didn't use the dye but just looked through his magnifying glass. I asked other dentists about this and they also said you really need the green dye to see a vertical fracture. I went ahead on his instructions to get the two root canals. This was the beginning of October 2016 and here it is March 2017 and I am not only still in a lot of pain but have a chlorine flavor coming from my gums 24/7 that I never had before these two root canals. After multiple visits to Root 66 and I do mean multiple Dr. Vongphoe would just stand there and in a long drawn out dialogue tell me there's nothing they could do. I went back and forth between them and my dentist. My dentist informed me she had tried on several occasions to contact them and they did not get back to her for 2 weeks. She said they basically have washed their hands of me. So I went in for one root canal and came out with two at a whopping price of $2500.00 That didn't include the two crowns I had to get for $800.00. I have been in so much pain and have to eat on one side only. I requested my $2500.00 put back to my Care Credit and they have refused telling me I signed a waiver to have these root canals done. I do not have any more money to see another specialist and needless to say I'm disgusted with how they have treated me and discarded me. As long as they got their $2500.00 they're a happy company. I do NOT recommend this place for any type of treatment. read more

Would not recommend. I went in and the doctor was quick to encourage that I get two root canals. I asked if they were absolutely necessary and was told one was and the other might be. I kept asking questions because I wanted to make sure I needed the treatment. The doctor took offense to my questions and I got out of there. I went to a second Endodontists and he said we should wait a few months to see if the pain subsides. He said nothing suggested it wasn't just tooth sensitivity from a few fillings I got last week. I hope everyone gets a second opinion if they end up at this place. read more

I was referred to Dr Halpern for a root canal which I was very skeptical of, because of horrible previous experiences elsewhere; however I still went. Immediately I got along with the ultra friendly staff... I was made to feel welcome and at home. Once in the room they have all state of the art equipment, movies of your choice while waiting and being operated on, a blanket if you're a little chilly and I haven't even begun to talk about the doctor. Dr. Halpern is the most gentle, soft spoken, efficient doctor I've even encountered. I was offered choices for my treatment and glad I went with the root canal. No pain! No pain! No pain! Thank you so much! Now how many people can say they had a great experience and was ecstatic about the visit? Me and anyone that goes to Root 66 for Dr Halpern! I highly recommend this place if you need a root canal or oral surgery! I went here on 9-11-14 because I needed 2 root canals performed and was terrified! I've never even had a cavity before so you can imagine my anxiety. Needless to say, the staff was amazing! 5 star staff for sure. No pain at all in either of the root canals. Took about 2 and 1/2 hours for both so it wasn't bad at all. Very friendly and very clean atmosphere! I'd definitely return if I need to. read more

He had no problem numbing me, which is something no other dentist has been able to do lately. I came prepared thinking I would require IV sedation, but I did not need it and had two root canals done in one appointment. The staff were very friendly and professional. I had the root canal yesterday. Front and back office staff was so nice, friendly, professional; made some of my anxiety disappear. Procedure went smoothly; Dr.Halpern explained what to expect and there were no surprises. He truly cares about his patients and tries to allay their dental fears. I appreciated the protective equipment as well as the prop to hold my mouth open. Past experience with root canals made my jaw so tired from holding open for long, long periods. Like many people, I was terrified of having a root canal. I had never had one before but I had had fillings. Fillings were always painful and scary so I was expecting this to be even worse. To my very pleasant surprise it was the exact opposite. The doctor and all the staff were very friendly and made sure I was comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. The office and waiting rooms were very well kept and had current magazines and a tv to keep your mind off the impending drilling. The procedure was amazing. The doctor made sure I was numbed up really good before getting started. I felt absolutely no pain during the whole process. They did a really good job of talking me through what they were doing and what my options were. After I was done, I paid at the front desk and they even gave me a little goodie bag with detailed instructions on how to care for my tooth. All around amazing experience. I wish all dental procedures were this nice...none of us would be scared of going to the dentist/endodontist if everyone's experiences were as nice as mine was. I was very frustrated with this office! I called in advance to verify that they took my insurance, they said yes, and I made an appointment. After my consultation they said I would have to pay almost $1000. I referred to my insurance and they said "I was out of network". What does that mean? I called to make sure this would not happen. Then they still charged me almost $200 for the consultation. After I called back to give them a chance to make it right they would only refund me half. Soooo disappointed!!! read more

PATIENTS BEWARE!!! Our experience with this business was good until the ball was dropped by a staff member (Sandy), who attempted to put the responsibility on us, the customer. Everything else went downhill from there! My husband was referred to Root 66 by our primary dentist for a root canal. I was told by Lissette that Sandy or Jackie would give me a return call by a certain date regarding questions we had concerning billing. This date came and passed without a return call. I called the day after the expected call date, which was one day prior to my husbands scheduled appointment, and was told by Sandy that she had called on the agreed upon date. I informed her that neither my husband nor I received any messages from her, nor was there any record in our call logs with their office number. I asked her to provide a record of proof that she called. She stated that she could not provide such proof. I requested a change in our appointment date to allow for time to get our questions answered and was told by Sandy that we would incur a $100 failed appointment charge if we rescheduled our appointment. I informed her that if proof was provided that she made the call promised by Lissette, then we would accept responsibility, but until such time, we would not agree to paying any additional fees. She agreed to waive the fee. After reviewing the matter, my husband and I decided that we would not feel comfortable in doing further business with this dentist, called Sandy to inform her of this, and asked that Dr. Halpern return our call to discuss our concerns. Sandy was noncommital as to if and when Dr. Halpern would return our call. Needless to say, we have not spoken to Dr. Halpern. That says a lot about his policy on customer service. But guess what, a bill arrived in the mail today for "$100 Failed Appointment" fee. PATIENTS BEWARE!!!! read more

I wish that I could give 20 stars for a review, I am a 45 year old woman who was petrified of the dentist so when my dentist said that I needed a root canal (my very first one, never had one in all my 45 years), and that I had to be referred I was scared out of my mind...seriously frightened, but OH MY GOSH Dr, ShBeeb, and his staff from Jesse to Sandra and Gabby........were wonderful I was crying when i walked in and I left out smiling so hard you would've thought I won the Lottery. I am so thankful for the professionalism, the quality of work, the prices were excellent, the before care and the after care was very caring and warm and comfortable.....they definitely have a patient for LIFE.
