TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! They don't even deserve 1 star! Called Rooter Heros to work on my heater. Apparently, the own Velavi and they sent them out on 11/14. The tech stuck his head in the attic crawl space for about 3 minutes, took 4 pictures, said there were parts that need replacing, the system that I have is out of business and they would see if they could get the parts. Charged me $89.99 (the internet said the inspection was $77.00) and said they would send me a quote. The quote was for over $11,000.00 to replace the entire central air/heating system! I declined, therefore forfeiting my inspection fee. Called another business (U.S. HVAC/R PROS). They looked in the crawl space to do the inspection, saw that the gas valve had been turned off. They turned it back, heater works great. They eve installed a new filter that I had. They did all this on a Saturday and charged me NOTHING because it was such a quick fix. read more

Jose arrived timely with his mask on (safety first). He was courteous and professional. He gave me a quote and explained all that was included in the quote. Recently had an entire new HVAC system installed at residence. I did lots of research before hand and had several quotes/bids by different companies. From the first meeting with Velavi co-owner Jose, I was comfortable. Jose was very knowledgeable about the different possibilities for my home and spent an enormous amount of time with me (between home visits and my telephone calls and texts) answering my questions and concerns. He even came back to my home another time to meet with myself and my partner when additional questions and concerns arose (amazing!) The project was a major one and quite a difficult one, as we needed not only a new outside condenser, but also a new interior furnace and all new ductwork in a very small crawlspace attic (as existing ductwork was very outdated and inefficient) Jose's bid was very reasonably priced in comparison to other bids; but once again what was most appreciated by us was his patience and time spent with us. We finally chose to go with a Daikin heat pump/air handler system; rather than a conventional condenser/gas furnace; as the new So Cal gas furnace restrictions did not lend themselves well to the three zone system we wanted. With all contracts signed, Jose even came to the house for a pre-install visit to finalize all plans for needed ductwork and final measurements, etc. His front office staff assistant, Vaneza, was EXTREMELY easy to deal with and very responsive in relation to accommodating all our needs-especially in relation to providing certificate ratings for the different available systems and helping in our obtaining appropriate documents for rebates, etc. She returned all telephone calls and emails within matter of minutes-- an outstanding job. The day of the project. Jose's crew (usually consisting of 3-5 workmen) arrived early, The foreman was identified (either Jordan or Francisco) and kept me updated on any unusual issues that arose (i.e. location of three different zone thermostats, problems with modifications of circuit breakers, etc) They were efficient and cleaned up well on a daily basis. What I most liked was that the job was not rushed and great attention to details was first and foremost. The whole job took about 5-6 working days total. Although Jose was not present on the job for the entire work period, his foremen were extremely capable and Jose always responded rapidly to any problems/issues that arose. He did check in physically every day to be sure all was in order and to review the needed daily work with his crew. As with any MAJOR project, there were some unexpected issues that arose (i.e having to break through some wall space to make room for new refrigerant lines;) the crew handled all well. Jose rapidly supplied an efficient handyman to repair unexpected wall damages, etc. Jose also graciously did some unrelated HVAC repairs (e.g., installation of some needed ceiling insulation and addition of kitchen cooktop hood ducted system) at an extremely reasonable price. Upon completion of the job, the system was tested. One of the zones had "too high air flow" and Jose immediately returned and we held a phone consultation with the Daikin technical liaison and the problem was rapidly solved with addition of bypass between the zone and the return line. A few days after using system, there was an unexpected glitch with the circuit breaker. Jose was contacted and IMMEDIATELY returned with Jordan. They solved the problem with installation of new circuit breaker and surge protector. I would 100% recommend Velavi for any HVAC install projects anyone has planned. Overall, Jose was amazing and very responsive to us. The crew was friendly, great, and efficient and we were pleased with the project outcome. Planning for such a detailed/extensive project can be very stressful and Jose made the process seamless. Do NOT search any further; Velavi is your answer for any/all of your HVAC problems. read more

This company is amazing! Jose from Velavi literally just left my house. I couldn't wait to get to my phone to write a review! He knew right away what the issue was. He was very honest about it. We tried to install a Nest thermostat and we ended up blowing a fuse which cut off power to the Fan, Heater and A.C. unit. I did my reaserch prior to calling anyone and my hunch was that it was a fuse. I called about 6 other companies before deciding to go with Velavi. All others were charging over $80 just to come out and tried to scare me by saying it would be an issue that could cost well over $300! Plus a charge of $150 to install the Nest. Jose only charged $150 total! He fixed the fuse and installed the Nest. He was done in about a half hour. It's so nice to find a company that is honest, courteous and very professional! We're very happy with our mini split installation by this company. Everyone was very professional every step of the way. It took the better part of two days because they installed ceiling cassettes that needed to be braced in the attic, but the crew thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day before leaving. The price was quite a bit better than the other quote we got. They were very professional. I used them to install replacement ducts as my house had old ducts. The price was great for my 8 ducts. They tapped off the walls and laid floor cloths down my hallway to my attic. And another great part was that they cleaned as they went. When they were complete they swept and vacuumed. What's the most annoying sound in the world??? That of your AC unit chirping and grinding and God knows what else....ugh!!! After requesting several quotes, Velavi came to the house and with in minutes, diagnosed the problem. I was hoping for an easy fix, of maybe no more than $150...lol...wrong! Some sort of motor that goes in the combo HVAC unit went out, causing metal on metal screeching sounds. Either way, Velavi team fixed it, and gave me a pretty good deal. Team showed up even before scheduled time, which was awesome.....had it fixed with in a couple hours....and now, my ears can hear the sound of silence. Great job guys....definitely call them back. Velavi recently installed 3 ductless mini split AC units in the upstairs of our home. Izzy came to give us an estimate and we discussed the pros and cons of adding a 2nd regular HVAC unit vs mini split and we all agreed mini split was the way to go. We could not be happier. The install took 2 days, their pricing was competiive, they ran all of the tubes through our attic (vs outside of the house like other companies wanted to do) and they mounted the compressor in a well hidden place on our roof so you can barely see it. We found Velavi on Yelp. We like that they make contract in details with terms we have both agreed upon. They work fast and efficiently. They installed 2unit Daikin in 2 days. We impressed that Hector is willingness to solve customer concerns. We didn't like the way they connected the furnace pipes in the garage. He came the next day and had everything reconnected without complaint. In addition, they also fixed the damage done to the closet ceiling that they had accidentally caused. Also painted over with fresh paint on the attic access wall .The paint job was well done. We also had the old ducts replaced with the R6 system for upstairs ducts and had the rest of the downstairs cleaned. Before the crew left, they cleaned up everything very well.
