He's been installing water heaters for 20+ years. My husband and I originally wanted a tankless water heater, but Chris took the time to explain the pros and cons. I asked about other options and he explained various hot water tank options. Chris advised a high-recovery 50-gallon water heater alone would likely meet our needs, but we chose to add a mixing valve for even more available hot water. We have not run out of hot water yet, so I'm very happy. The installation took only about 40 minutes, and we couldn't be happier with the service, communication, and professionalism. I didnt get good vibes from the original company when I asked them about repairs and warranties, especially when I asked them why it failed and why I should expect it to not fail again. Mark was super helpful. There were actually somehow multiple spots where the line set was kinked and leaking due to the original installers error. Mark was able to find and fix these leaks very quickly and he seemed very trustworthy and honest. If I have any issues I will definitely call them again

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

I told Steve, "I want this done once, I want it done right, and I don't want to have to worry about it again." Steve and Done Right Plumbing delivered! They installed a brand new water line, a new pressure release valve, and managed to do the whole thing without digging a trench! Done Right is the ONLY company in the area that owns their OWN drilling equipment. I would have paid more than Done Right charged, but their total price was completely reasonable. However, I am a little bit miffed at the charges. $199 service call, plus an additional $241 to install a $30 capacitor seems like an unreasonable charge. But what ya gonna do when your heat isn't working?

This year the city surprised me by sending the notice a month early, and I was on vacation when the notice came. This left me with just over a week before it was due. I contacted 5 Star Backflow Services and they were able to do the test just a couple days later. After the test they always send the report directly to the city within 24 hours. He has all his ducks in a row in regards to insurance, licensing, bonds, etc. He is honest and does everything by the book. I got him connected with NW and they have told me their customers are very happy with his service, I'm sure you will be too." Dave Kuca at A+ Backflow responded promptly to my call and was able to fit me in with short notice so I could meet the city's deadline. He did a great job and accepts credit cards with a Square reader.

Frank and his team are SUPERB. I had received a very competitive quote from them in December, and initially thought I could repair our water heater myself, and so went along for a few weeks of tweaks and making it work in fits and starts by myself. When the water heater finally went out, it was two days before Christmas! I called, talked to Frank, who said they would be there the next day. Sure enough, they came on time, worked on it for a few hours till late at night in the cold with the garage door open, and replaced the old heater with the new one and made everything code-compliant too. There were no hidden charges, no gimmicks, no "extras" - everything done per quote in record time and very competently. We had stubborn bathroom sinks that were plugged. We live in Sammamish. Had another company look at it to fix and they were not able to solve the problem. Luca from Rooter-Pal fixed the issue within an hour and the fix came with a 3 month warranty. Reasonably priced and solid workmanship. After being effectively "ghosted" by D Youngs, we contacted the manufacturer directly and a Rheem-authorized technician found faulty installation of the condensate line in May 2026. Correcting D. Young's error cost me $524.42 out of pocket. I later discovered their WA contractor registration (License No. DYOUNYP976PA) had lapsed 21 days before the job -- meaning the work was performed without a valid license, in violation of RCW 18.27.020. I sent two formal written letters (both email, and hard copy) requesting reimbursement. No response to either. Complaints have been filed with WA L&I and the WA Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Lesson Learned: Before hiring, verify any contractor's license at LNI.WA.GOV
