I received a full set of highlights from Brianna and she did an amazing job! It looked super natural and I exactly like the pictures I brought in. I'm not sure how she managed to work her magic and make my hair ashy brown like I've always wanted, but I am super impressed! I would definitely recommend her and the salon. I chose River because she also has long hair like mine. I am very happy with the outcome of my haircut with River. I came armed with a photo of what I wanted; we discussed a variety of options, and I enjoyed the relaxing and very therapeutic head and neck massage during shampooing. Most importantly (and I failed to mention this to River) - I was especially impressed when she listened and completely understood when I explained that I'm quite hearing impaired without my hearing aids (gotta take 'em off for shampoo and cut) and she made a point to accommodate my wishes when needing to communicate with me. Ana C, you're one amazing soul! I've been going to Ana since she was in another location. She will treat you like her friend and with the uttermost respect that you'll get. I haven't dyed my hair or touch up in over 2 years. As you can see in my before photo my hair was horrible. Ana, she helped me do a root melt to a darker ashy color which was what I was going for. During my appointment I was also asking for advices on how to keep my hair healthy and from color fading away. Sadly updating my review to one star after a really bad experience. Everyone has off days and makes mistakes, but it's how you respond that counts. 1. I had my extensions moved up and they were installed incorrectly. The part was so crooked that they hung more than 2 inches lower on the right side. The beads were so tight they were creating painful bald patches on my scalp. I contacted Tiffany about this and she suggested that I have my husband help me cut my own hair to correct her mistake. Instead, I went to another professional to fix the error and she was appalled by the poor technique of the install. I told Tiffany that I had to pay an additional $150 to reinstall the extensions and she offered nothing to compensate for the inconvenience or added expense. (see pics) 2. The toner was left on too long at my previous appointment, blotting out all my expensive highlights. I asked for a few face framing babylights to rematch the ombré of the extensions beneath. What I got was thick, uneven, fried, orange headband highlights that look awful. (see pics) 3. I was charged $140 more for this service than my service just 8 weeks prior (from $487 to $627). Neither the salon nor my stylist informed me of their price increase, just a surprise when it came time to pay. Very insulting after being a loyal client of Tiffany's for over 5 years, following her to R&R. 4. The salon sends repeated appointment reminders to be on time. When I arrived for my appointment, the salon was locked, lights were off, and I stood outside for 10 minutes past my appointment time waiting for the staff to arrive. I called and texted the salon, as well as my stylist - no one responded and there was no apology for opening late. A few tips if you do decide to go to R&R: - Ask about pricing ahead of time - Find out if the stylists are actually CERTIFIED to install hair extensions, and what technique they're trained in - Don't expect any form of service recovery if you're not happy - cut, color & style at your own risk! read more

Shelby is an artist! Roots & Rouge Salon is amazing! The free consultation appointment is such a great idea. Puts your nerves at ease. You met with the hair stylist, share your dream, and come up with a plan. The salon is very clean and CDC safe (everyone wearing masks and sanitizing). Everyone seems super sweet and friendly. I've been putting off getting a balayage for years but Shelby heard my request/concerns, discussed the plans, then created a masterpiece! I never knew my hair could look so good. Even my husband noticed. Shelby personalized my balayage to my needs. Who knew that was possible! She made sure my hair color complimented my skin tone. She was very sweet, attentive and performed the service with the utmost professionalism. During my haircut, I was given a beer to drink (it was Modelo time foo!) while I sat back and relaxed while Ana was doing her thing. TIFFANY IS YOUR GIRL! I turned 30 not too long ago and wanted a fun change, but nothing too drastic. I usually get my hair cut by Tiffany because, as you can see, I got curls for days. I don't trust a lot of people with my hair, but one of her clients, who also happens to be one of my friends, recommended her to me and it's been the BEST decision for my hair. In June I told her my idea about adding some rose gold to my hair and she was straight up with me. She let me know from day one if you are going to do it, be ready for the maintenance that goes with it. I agreed with her and we decided to go with some peekaboo highlights and color pieces instead. She will ask for pictures of the color/colors you want and what your typical hair routine is like. I sent her the pictures about 2/3 weeks before. Going to the salon was safe and clean. Roots and Rouge does a fantastic job of following COVID procedures and has limited the amount of clients they can see at once. Tiffany will work with your schedule, and though she is busy, for obvious reasons, she will fit you in. I went on a Saturday morning ready! I clarified my hair the night before (advice from her) and made sure my hair was dry. She doubled checked the color I wanted and she walked me through step by step what she was going to do that morning. It was great sitting with her, talking with her, and having someone I can trust tell me what to do and what to buy to support my hair as well. The whole process took about 3 hours but it was WORTH IT. I love my hair and it's so fun to look at it! If you're thinking of highlights, balayage, ombré, or creative color Tiffany is your girl!
