This is my first ever Yelp review. It has to be done. If you want the worst, amateur , most rip-off hair experience, then go to this salon where a bunch of kids who are practicing playing with hair, then check this place out. Came in for a blowout n practically got a rough dry and then some curls with an iron, so I left with a flat head. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and left with nothing even close to the picture. I could have done a much better job myself instead of paying $120 for them to waste my time and money. I left a tip because I felt the stylist needed the money to go back to school! I am in disbelief that this salon is still in business. read more

There are a lot of stylists out there, but it's so difficult to find someone who can give you an amazing haircut and understands what you want. Instagram showed me an ad of this salon so I looked it up. It really spoke to me because of all the plants they have! I love plants, and the space looks so cozy to me from pictures. So I decided to look for a stylist there. I ended up making an appointment with Rachel. The salon was exactly how I thought it would be. It was quaint, warm and inviting. I'm really disappointed with my recent experience at the salon. The haircut and color did not meet expectations at all. I had clearly mentioned that I did not want bleach, and I've had my hair colored without bleach many times before -- this was not at all comparable. My hair looks almost exactly the same as before, aside from some very basic gray coverage. There was no noticeable improvement in color or dimension. The overall service also felt rushed. The haircut and even the hair wash were done very quickly Overall, the experience felt inattentive and lacking in effort. UPDATE I really debated on whether I wanted to do an updated review. I loved my stylist and the overall experience. However, after going to my original stylist, I felt like I needed to do an updated review. Initially, I loved my hair, and I got a ton of compliments from everyone. I knew the real test would be my first wash since I have naturally curly hair. I almost cried when I washed my hair since it failed to revert back. It takes a long time for curly hair to grow to the length I had in the photo. I ended up having to cut a majority of my length off because of the damage. My hair is now a little bit below my shoulders. I put a photo of my hair about a month after my appointment in this updated review. My hair texture was really compromised. My original stylist said this is most likely due to overprocessing from the bleach. The photo really says it all; my hair looks damaged and the color had faded immediately, leaving me with damaged curls. I ended up with a weird stripey look that looked so harsh on my natural black hair. It's such a bummer that this is how it ended up. I really loved the experience, and it looked great for about a month. I just feel like at this price point along with the damage that only now has been reduced left me feeling overall unhappy with the experience. read more

I came to Ana to get my hair colored and trimmed on my friends recommendation. My hair looked sooo nice and I'm so happy with my results! I got a haircut with Kass yesterday and had such a great experience! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and made sure every detail was exactly right. I had really highlighted that my hair is thinning and I don't like the use shearing/thinning shears and she was so attentive to these details and really respected it. The vibe of the whole salon was super cute and welcoming. They offer a variety of different drinks and some snacks as soon as you walk in. This was my first time coming here and Alondra did my hair. She didn't talk much in the beginning, but this was perfect for me as I am definitely more of an introvert. Towards the end though, she opened up a bit more and overall was a great experience and amazing work. Got it colored a dark cherry red color and turned out perfect. I came into the salon for the first time with high hopes due to the great reviews. I left more than disappointed. I had asked for a butterfly haircut and provided plenty of pictures. I basically left there with hair that looked all one length with the addition of a poorly cut layer around my face. The stylists new client showed up and she basically said she couldn't make my hair look like the picture, but said I could come back. There's no point in me going back to a person who obviously can't perform a butterfly cut and who missed the mark by so much. Amazing. I have attempted to achieve my ideal hairstyle for years. Growing it out time and time again in order to give the stylist plenty of length to achieve a unconventional twist on a bob. The stylist nailed it. She listened to what I wanted and even though she did not seem to agree with my desires she did exactly what I wanted and gave me my ideal hairstyle. Seemed like they tailored to long hair but my stylist had no problem cutting my long long front and short short back bob. It was blended exceptionally well and lays perfect. I highly recommend Alondra! I booked her for a haircut back in February. I had asked to keep the length as much as possible while trimming off the dead ends, but I also wanted to try some curtain bangs/shorter layers in the front. She did an amazing job and I loved it so much! She's also super friendly and chill. When I checked out, the lady in the front offered to help me book Alondra again and so I decided to schedule an appointment for 8 weeks I believe? Which was a nice touch! Fast forward to today, 4/19, I came back to see her again and this time I asked for a bigger chop - about 4 inches. I also asked for more layers overall and shorter curtain bangs. She's styling my hair as I type this lol but I trust that she is going to make my hair look fabulous as she did last time as well. She truly listens to you and makes sure to ask all the right questions to ensure that she gives you what you're looking for.
