She also has a keen eye, I couldn't quite explain what I wanted or what was looking off about my hair that I got done elsewhere but the second she looked at me she knew what I was talking about. I came to Wildflower Salon to look for a heat protectant hair product. One of the staff members was really nice and helpful. She began by asking me how often I apply heat, if I have frizzy/dry/other factors about my hair, and other questions to see what products would be best for me. She recommended Aveda Smooth Infusion and explained to me how to use it. I use this after I wash my hair now and it's helped to protect and control the amount of frizz. I found the salon during a lull in the pandemic. My Covid hair was an embarrassment and a very kind, empathetic Angela took great care and several hours to transform the color and cut. Angela is very skilled and knowledgeable about color, plus a great stylist. She carefully listens to clients to deliver a superior haircut. Friends and coworkers compliment my hair all the time. My sister is the one booking the appointment for the both of us and made it clear that the 3rd is the date we both want our hair done. How is speaking to me going to make a difference in the date we requested? It shouldn't right? Also, you did not call me sister she called you guys and even confirmed verbally the day of the appt that if we come into the salon for a consultation you will be able to book us on the 3rd. So, what is so important in talking to me that couldn't be solved when talking to my sister? We are both glad the team at Wildflower is taking this as a learning opportunity to provide a better customer service experience to future clients. _________________ Original review: My sister tried to get an appointment for the two of us at this salon and this will be a review on that process since we will NOT be coming back for any services. My sister initially called the salon, where it went straight to voicemail, leaving a message that was not returned. She then went to their website and entered a message in the "Contact Us" area. She explicitly said that we were looking for a pair of appointments on Saturday, November 3. The admin or whoever answers the email requests responded, acknowledging my sisters request, indicating that prior to the appointment we would both have to come in for a consultation and supply photos of styles and colors we wanted. My sister and I then sent the required materials through email. My sister again, called today, which was the day of our consultation, asking, if we attend, does this mean we are confirmed for November 3 since, all along that is the date we have asked for and we would not be otherwise coming in today to this salon. The person who was on the phone said "yes, and if your consultation stylist is booked, we can check other schedules to make arrangements" My sister and I both attend this consultation (which was 10 minutes) where a stylist asked us the color we want, brought out a swatch book, took some notes - all on material we have provided via email, and then proceeded to tell us that Saturday she was unavailable because "they book so far in advance" but "she does have Wednesday at 1:30" .... So after we have mentioned over phone AND email that the specified date we are looking for is November 3, and it was communicated to us that they can make that date work for us- we were told that it would NOT be possible for them to see us (unless we want to ditch work for a cut and color) until NEXT week. Who is in charge of customer communication? Who is not answering the voicemails? Who is not communicating emails to the stylists? (Insert sideways Jesus) Wildflower, your space is cute, but that doesn't make up for the missed communication and the chance to win over not one, but TWO new customers. I'm writing on behalf of my mother in law. She had an appointment for cut and highlights with Angie, and came away with hair that looked like she hadn't been near a salon for months-- let alone hours. She was charged $375, and can barely stand to look at her hair in the mirror. She has literally been in tears-- from the horrible cut/color and, on top of that, the incredible amount of wasted money that she had been saving for a post-Covid splurge. When we called to see what we could do, the stylist Angie, who is also one of the owners (??) said that my MIL could certainly come in for a toner, but of course she would have to charge her MORE. There was no sense of compassion, or wanting to make the customer happy or feel good about herself and her hair; just an attitude of "this is what I did, and it is going to cost, if she wants something different". I'm seriously shocked by the lack of understanding and her failure to just take ownership of the problem and remedy something that could be so easily remedied-- just a brighter, happier tone to the color, and a better cut! (Isn't that why we go to a stylist in the first place? To come away feeling better?!) I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

In this age of razor haircuts my stylist did not even use shears. She used regular scissors and cut my hair straight. This was her version of long layers. I considered using their give us a call we will fix in a week policy. But, I just didn't want this lady to touch my hair again. After the appointment she made an appointment for the next time 3-4 weeks out for root touch up and this was just a pretend one. I did not get a reminder card nor a call the day before. After visiting Wildflower Salon in Los Gatos on Instagram I decided I would go see if they had availability for today. They did, so I scheduled my appointment with Serina. We talked about my hair history and how I've been traveling 8 hours to the same hairstylist for the past 20 years, she listened to me, my likes and dislikes. I felt comfortable and plan on returning. Wildflower salon is a treasure of the South Bay. I come from San Francisco to have my hair cut and colored by Sheri, because this is higher quality than any haircut I've found for twice the price anywhere in the city. I would describe Sheri's talent in hair cutting as making you look beautiful. Like, super gorg. She looks at you carefully, considering your features, coloring and the shape of your face and crafts a cut/color to highlight your unique beauty. She is also considerate of your lifestyle, which is so important for maintenance. In my 20s, Sheei gave me updated cuts that were appropriate for my life and desired level of maintenance. Now that I'm a mom, she gives me cuts that are feminine and beautiful, and also low-maintenance. She is truly an artist and you won't be disappointed with a cut/color by Sheri. Wildflower salon itself is beautiful and comfortable. The open and airy atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. I love that the salon uses Aveda products, which are luxurious and functional. This salon is family-friendly without being kid-ified. You will not find airplane salon chairs or cartoons blaring, but Sheri and Angela make kids feel at home and super-special in the grown-up salon. My daughter just had her first haircut here, and I can't rave enough about the professionalism, quality and caring that was shared here. I would have liked to leave a review about an actual experience in this salon, but I didn't even make it that far. I called the salon a couple of weeks ago two times and no one answered. The third time, I decided to leave a message b/c it didn't seem like anyone ever answered the phone there. I repeated my name and number two times on the message to make sure they were able to clearly take down my info. I never heard back from them. A week and a half later, I called back a couple more times and no one ever answered. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe that maybe they couldn't make out the number I left and that's why they didn't get back to me. So I called and left another message (again, saying everything twice) and they called me back the next day. The lady's response to me was that they were no longer taking appointments b/c they were already overwhelmed. I was a little frustrated for spending all this time trying to contact them and they weren't even able to make any future appointments. I explained to the lady that I tried pretty hard to contact them and if they weren't able to answer phone calls or do call backs for messages that people left, AND that they weren't taking any new appointments, that they really should change their voicemail to indicate this so people don't keep trying to contact them. Her response was on the defensive side (instead of on the apologetic side) and said that they were dealing with catching covid and personal injury issues, etc... Believe me, I'm not unsympathetic. Whatever they are dealing with, I'm sure is tough and their overwhelming feelings I'm sure are justified. BUT...the time it would take to alter a voicemail to update their current business status of not being able to take on any new business temporarily would not have taken any longer than it took her to talk to me on the phone. It in fact, would save them a lot of time to not have to do constant call backs. When the lady defensively told me about their covid issues and personal injury issues, and again repeated that that's all understandable, but they should update their voicemail temporarily so that people don't waste their time trying to contact them, and her response was a very flippant, "we'll take your comments under consideration and have a good day," when clearly what she meant was, "yeah, whatever, we're not doing that, bye." So, is this a great salon? Maybe. I'll never know. What I do know is that they are very unprofessional, inconsiderate of people's time, and the type of place that instead of fixing issues, they instead rely on excuses and defense mechanisms. It's really too bad b/c I would have loved to support a neighborhood business that was really just across the street from me. FYI, I called two more salons immediately after this phone exchange and left a message at both (not super confident in timely responses, to be honest) but they BOTH contacted me back within the hour and they both had appointment times available. The two places I contacted were the Atelier Salon in Santana Row and Nimbus Salon in Los Gatos and they both were very nice on the phone. I suggest for anyone to steer clear of Wildflower Salon until they care enough for their clients to improve their customer service (although that's not really necessary since they aren't accepting any current business anyways). read more

This is a beautiful salon and an absolute delight. I was treated to a haircut and color by Sherri and when she was done, all I could sing in my head (and out loud) was, "I feel pretty. Oh so pretty!" This was my first real haircut and color In a "grown up" salon. My normal place of choice is Supercuts but I wanted something new since my grays were taking over my head. Sherri took the time to talk with me at the beginning of my appointment and got to know my routine and my style. She customized everything based on what she felt I could maintain. 3.5 hours later, there I was singing away. The salon is beautiful. When you get your hair washed, you get a beautiful view of the high ceilings and windows to the outside which is such a nice change from the typical ceilings. I was incredibly lucky to have Sherri be the person to transform me and now I think I'm spoiled rotten. She is amazing. I definitely recommend the salon and hope you walk out singing like I did. read more

(Before you think I am crazy, please note that I moved north since I first started seeing Sherri!) I drive from SONOMA to get my hair cut with Sherri Garrison. I cannot tell you how many times I vow to find a place closer to me now that I am so far away, but her commitment to Aveda and her personal way of making you feel at ease during the long process of getting highlighted, combined with really knowing hair and how to get that exact cut that makes the most of what you have - that's Sherri and that is why I do the drive every 6-8 weeks. Love, love, love the new spot. I was anxious to leave Nimbus after 15 years - I just liked the town and feel of the place, but Wildflower is so much more contemporary and every touch from the lighting to the stations and use of wood accents is impeccable and makes Nimbus look like something shabby trapped in the 90s. Abby rescued my hair after a botched cut by a new Campbell salon. She's a good communicator, making sure she understood what I wanted and telling me there would be a transition period between what I came in with and what I was going for. She enjoys helping clients transition from one look to another. Abby checked in as she evened out length, smoothed layers, and fixed the bangs. She took her time and it made a world of difference. Sherri has been in charge of my hair for more than 25 years. She rescued my hair from a salon that had left my hair with 3 bands of color. Each band reflected an attempt to correct the color. Sherri introduced me to Aveda products, and I am still using them. I enjoy Wildflower Salon. It incorporates features that Sherri has wanted for years. Sherri is the ONLY stylist I trust to style my hair. Even though I now live on the other coast, I only trust my stylist there to trim off the split ends.
