Being back in my home state meant a chance to visit lots of family and also to play tourist and visit the Clinton library. Since our plans to eat at the library fell through, my friend and our families were looking for a nearby place to grab a quick lunch and return to the library. This place was not only nearby, but turned out to be a pretty good place to eat. The food was quite good and the portions were quite generous. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and baked beans. All the food was tasty and the service was great. We tried not to get too full and just wants naps after lunch, but it was difficult since we enjoyed our lunch here. read more

Tables were dirty and food was mediocre. Beef was dry. They were out of most sides. Over all didn't seem like a clean place.

The ambiance was great. I really liked the vibe. There was a line when we got there which is a sign of tasty food to come. But.. I discovered there was a line because it took so long for the orders to be processed. The service needs improvement. The employees were very personable and welcoming. But the flow of the kitchen was chaotic. Staff kept bumping into each other. They kept opening and closing the to go boxes to see what order was in there. It was very inefficient. The food was ok. The purple hull peas were well seasoned and served hot. The potato salad was very tasty; like homemade. But the brisket was disappointing. It didn't have much flavor. The homemade strawberry lemonade was very good. Watch out though, it is also very sweet. read more

Incredible! Driving through and we are from Texas ... sooo we love our BBQ... I want to take them home with us! Order EVERYTHING! We ordered oxtails, beef tips, chicken leg quarters, collard greens (amazing slight heat in back of throat), Cole slaw and mustard based potato salad (in house made and beef I've ever had) and even their lemonade had us talking! The staff is so nice and they helped us make decisions (Angia was soooo sweet & Naomi was wonderful even though she was training she is top notch server!) the place is spacious and comfy but feels like you are eating with friends and the door is always buzzing with lots of customers! First time visitor. Sweet tea was refreshing while waiting on my order. I had two meats- ribs and burnt ends, some greens, cabbage & hot water corn bread. It was excellent. First off, don't put barbecue sauce on good barbecue it's not needed. If the barbecue is cooked well and smoked well it doesn't need sauce. I ordered pork ribs sliced brisket and sausage no sides. Pork ribs were good very easy to eat very tender. The brisket was very tender and very easy to eat did not need any barbecue sauce on it. The sausage was very good although it could have used a little bit more time in the smoker. The staff is very friendly and nice. The restaurant could use a good cleaning and is a little sketchy looking on the inside. My total with tip was $24.78. I would also say that I'll be back and I'm comfortable with four stars read more

I was only in Little Rock for a short visit and wanted to try some bbq. Platnum BBQ was a good find. When the owner found out that my family was from Texas, he said that he hopes that he lives up to the challenge. The bbq was good and so was everything else that we ordered. It's located inside a building with several other restaurants so there's plenty of choices and plenty of seating. We got there just before the lunch crowd because as we ate our food, the line grew from 3-4 people to 10-12. Was in town for the night from St. Louis and stumbled on this spot and thought BBQ sounded good. It was a great find! We had brisket and pulled pork sandwiches with mac and cheese. I am a partner in a beer garden/smokehouse north of SF, the Arkansas (dry rub) style ribs, sides and service at Platnum are amazing! Had a small order of the ribs with sauce, green beans and a few other sides, everything delicious! There was a line of folks waiting the whole time we were there & they noted they sell out of their Oxtail every day and have a special on Tuesdays, will be back early for an order next week...looking forward to our next visit! read more

SPOT ON! TOP NOTCH BBQ! Had the beef tips, which was mouth watering outstanding! Also, the brisket, cooked to perfection, was excellent! But my favorite was the loaded fries which was Phenomenal!!!! It's in a great little indoor food court with other food businesses, so it's not a store front location. Their hours are limited, so make sure to plan according. Worst BBQ ever collared green was half cook Cajun sausage had no smoke taste or grill mark .Mac cheese was okay but I don't recommend them

This order was placed through Bite Squad. I ordered a brisket sandwich with mac n cheese. When it arrived, EVERYTHING was cold. The container that it came in wasn't even warm. I also asked for extra BBQ sauce on the side. I got neither the BBQ sauce nor eating utensils to eat the mac n cheese. I guess they figured it wouldn't matter if I had any utensils since they sent the food to me cold. So, the food MAY have been good. I can't say for sure because I trashed it because I'm not about to eat cold food. I won't place anymore orders with this place as there are better BBQ joints in the city. There's no excuse for sending COLD food. And the only reason I'm giving a 1 star rating is because I can't give less than that. Don't bother ordering from them or eating there. My options were limited by the end of the day but the BBQ sandwich combo caught my eye and at modestly priced $10, I opted for the brisket + 1-side & drink. Brisket was good, not particularly fatty and a generous portion on a toasted bun. Opted for the coleslaw + a lemonade, which really impressed. Appreciated the extra side of BBQ sauce as well. We came to the Market on a Saturday after a race in town. We walked into the market and instantly smelled the smoke. The greatest smell on earth. I had the three meat platter with sides. We got the baby back ribs, brisket and pulled pork with collards and sweet potatoes. All the meat was delicious and moist with wonderful flavor. The sides melted in your mouth. Great Greens Tasteless BBQ ribs and potato salad. Zero smoke flavor in the ribs, they taste like they were baked in an oven.

The food here is good but nothing that stands out from any other bbq place. I ordered mine to go and didn't check my box to realize my pork bbq sandwich was missing the bun. Next time I will try to go when I have time to sit in and eat. I will say the macaroni and cheese was really good! read more
