We're completely out, I know I should have came earlier but I found out today and couldn't go any earlier than 8:50/8:55PM. Pet food express closes at 9PM. I understand how frustrating it could be and even downright annoying it is for customers to come and you want to close up shop early. However, posted hours state you close at 9PM. The open sign was still on. The door was locked as I was running up to the door by what looked like two friends(?) who walked in right before me. When I checked the time(8:55), I knocked. Those friends looked at the woman as if to say "someone's at the door", walked away and the woman shook her head no at me. She was with a beautiful, off-leash German shepherd looking dog. She eventually came to unlock the door to tell me the registers/computers automatically turn off and there's nothing she could do at 8:56PM. They turn off before closing? I said I'm really sorry it's just my cats out of food and I just need to buy one bag. I know where it is. She of course said no, but I doubt Pet food express automatically turns off their ability to make sales before closing. I can honestly say I've never done this before (come so close to closing), but I have purchased from pet food express for years because of their excellent customer service, above and beyond hospitality, and pet first mentality. I really didn't expect an employee not to care to help sell one bag of cat food before official closing hours when other employees have almost treated me and my cat like family at my local pet food express. It's disappointing, it felt like a lie for "I just don't want to help you right now so I can leave as fast as possible".

Plus you can tell they love pets and animals! Remy even got some free treats because of her good behavior :') We visited mostly for the self service dog wash station! Our first time, and it's definitely great -- they provide shampoo, aprons, towels, waterproof collars, and treats as well! It's $18 for everything. You can even buy 3 and get 1 free. The hose is pretty cool to be able to dispense soapy water. They said every Pet Food Express has a dog wash stations except a small handful, amazing!

I called to ensure our dog would not be groomed by a specific groomer (let's call them Y) because of a negative experience the prior time. I spoke for at least 10 minutes with the manager over the phone to ensure we booked groomer Z who has groomed our dog before and did a decent job. I turn up with our dog at the appointment time and it turns out groomer Y (who we were trying to avoid) was booked by accident by the manager!! It was not a pleasant experience at all to see the groomer with whom our dog had a bad experience with, especially after calling to specifically avoid them (both for the benefit of the groomer and dog). We did not go ahead with the appointment, which was a waste of time as well. Unfortunately this was not our first unpleasant experience with this PetSmart grooming, and as such, we won't be returning unless something substantially improves.

They breed their own chicks in house which is a huge plus as you get it straight from the source. You see the walk through of the roosters and hens as well, literally the parents of your birds and they're all extremely healthy. The hens are also labeled and you're given a zoo-like biography of each breed which is amazing for those starting out + for kids to learn. They have all sorts of breeds, literally breeds I've never even heard of. The hatched chicks here are given mareks vaccination in house + sexed at birth for most breeds except silkies and a few others. I love how the staffs make themselves known but just let you wander and live in the moment without breathing down your back. The prices for feed and items are overall pretty good, items are labeled for the most part. Selection is huge. Many of the items are not priced with a label so they are just ignored and not bought as you can tell by the dust. One biggest drawback here that made it 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of pricing on some items and the chicks/pullets. Nobody has time to ask for pricing for each individual chick and the staffs don't have a list, they have to check manually for each on their register which is insane. Maybe the store management is too lazy to put the pricing? Maybe they priced chicks differently per customers? Who knows. Luckily the pullets has a pricing sheet and the staffs were amazing about it. Overall, I'd take your family here to buy farm item, feeds and learn about the breeds. If you have time to spare, you can ask about pricing for each or just buy elsewhere.

This review is mainly about the pet wash --…read more Left feeling pretty dissatisfied with the wash station. My primary issue is with the dryer. It's not high velocity, and since I have a Havanese with a double coat I spent forever trying to dry him. I regularly wash my pup, and the dryer here is one of the worst I've used at any self-grooming station. I ended up using 2 tokens to get him dry -- which is about 50 mins of bath time. I always take ~30 mins to wash+dry him. Massive time sink to dry him fully. If you're trying to blow out your dog's fur, you also have to bring the dryer head super close to their skin, which not all dogs are super ok with. I'd rather go back to country pet wash, I'm spending the same amt of money (~$30), for half the time. I did try to address my confusion with the store attendants, but they just apologized and said that that's how the dryers work.

It's not too crowded so it's nice to let my dog scroll through the isles. Staff is friendly and helpful too. During holidays, they have free for pawrents. You can watch from the surveillance video to see how they are interacting and playing with the other pet friends. I always get a full report from the staff when picking up Tiger! The storefront carries all of our favorite brands, I just wish they had more deals and specials on brands other than their own!
