Pizza got taken back to my temporary home and it was everything I expected and more. Saved my eggplant parm grinder for lunch on Sunday. Restaurant eggplant usually disappoints but this was actually some of the best I've ever had and I've had lots. It's one of my absolute favorite dishes and I make it at least every other week. Casual neighborhood pizza spot vibes done right, and bonus points for a private parking lot in Watertown, which is apparently rarer than a perfectly cooked New Haven-style pie north of Route 84. Now, let's discuss the family salad. Fantastic. Fresh, generous, great dressing options, and honestly one of the better salads I've had from a local pizza place in a long time. I would absolutely come back just for that. Unfortunately, the star of the show, the pizza, kind of collapsed under pressure. Literally. We ordered a medium cheese and a medium sausage, both "thin and crispy." What arrived was more "soft and floppy." The sausage itself was excellent. Clearly high quality, nicely seasoned, and probably the best part of the pizza. But the sauce just didn't bring much to the table. Very little flavor, too much cheese, and the whole pie felt heavy instead of balanced. That said, this was one visit, and I'm willing to give any local spot another shot.
