For too long Camarillo needed an elevated but fun restaurant and Rosa delivers on all fronts - food, cocktails, ambiance, decor, and service. My girlfriends and I came back tonight as their happy hour menu has dropped. We were super impressed with the amount of options they have for both food and cocktails on the HH menu. The prices are super cheap for how much food they give you. We were shocked! Literally for one cocktail/mocktail and three appetizers split it was only $20 a person. Literally you cannot beat those prices. I haven't had a bad dish here and I'm a sucker for all of their cocktails. Tonight I couldn't drink alcohol and even their mocktails are on point. This is a great place for people who don't drink because they put a lot of flair and fun into their mocktails and for that I felt included and it was fun. What a nice surprise this place was for me recently. I went with a large group and loved it. I had not been inside since it was Brendan's. They've remodeled it and it's fresh and airy. The drinks program is excellent. I found they do not skimp on size or alcohol. I very much liked my equivalent of a pina colada for $15. The food was also excellent. The mocajete was truly divine. Came here on a tuesday evening. Had a reservation for a group of 7. Service went super well! Our plates came out pretty quickly within 10 mins of ordering. The pinwheel chips with valentina were fresh and crunchy! It was very beautiful the moment we walked in. Lots of tables. Pictures did make the place look even bigger than it was though. My only complaint was that it was made of corn tortilla and was slightly burnt so I could barely cut into some parts. 8.5/10 I also got to try the quesabirria tacos. They were massive! Walk in and you'll notice a dimly lit cocktail bar perfect for a date night. Promptly greeted we were sat in a partial booth with a natural wood table, facing the bar. The ambiance at lunch was quiet, relaxing, which I'm told is not the case certain nights when they have a DJ, band, or mariachi. Our waitress was super friendly despite being all over the restaurant, having tables scattered throughout the restaurant, perhaps covering for someone's break. Now to the important part, the food. We ordered off the lunch menu to try several items. Lunch is available Monday through Friday until 2pm. Just a precaution, the lunch menu is $1 more than the picture I posted as they had given me an old menu. We orders the enchiladas verdes, enchiladas con mole, and tacos de papas. Everything came with rice and beans, and everything was pretty tasty. The enchilada con mole were my favorite and probably the best enchiladas I've ever had. They were flavorful with a nice spice to them that lingers but doesn't over power. The Cafe de la olla had a bit too much cinnamon for my taste, but was ok. The horchata was better, refreshing and smooth, doing a fantastic job balancing out the spice. The only downside was the flan, which though it had a decent flavor, it had an odd texture, clumpy/chunky and a little gritty. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating. read more

When I read some of the reviews I didn't have high expectations because I feel like service is really important and the reputation of every restaurant that was in this building was a failure... but honestly, the food, atmosphere and service was beyond my expectations. I also ordered the horchata, personally it was a little too bland for me. The service was super slow. The waiter took over 15 min to get our drink orders in. Once he got them in, we asked him to stay since we were also ready to order. The food did come quickly. A few things: moms with infants, there is no changing table in the bathroom. Also, the tables and chairs are just very odd. You have to be super tall to sit in the red chairs comfortably. It made it weird to eat the meal.
