When our go-to thin-crust pizza joint closed we began our quest for an alternative. If we lived closer to Reales then the problem would be solved. There are a few good pizza joints near us but they are just a step above the chains. Enter Rosati's. Rosati's offers thin crust and deep dish pies. Being from the NE thin crust is the only way to go (for me). Rosati's thin crust is prepared square instead of circular. A final layer of cheese also covers your toppings. Our cheese and meat pizzas arrived perfectly cooked. At first, I balked at the cheese covering the toppings but I was won over. The crust was could have been left in the oven for a few extra minutes to become a bit more firmer/crisper but that's a nit. The toppings were plentiful and fresh, Rosati's pizza passed the final test when it was reheated (via pan, not microwave) the next day and was just as fresh and delicious as the evening before. read more

I moved here four years ago from Bloomington, Illinois so I was so surprised to see this pop up on my pizza search. We have a Rosatis there & I've had it dozens of times. My usual test foods for an Italian restaurant are either lasagna or meatball parm sandwich. This time I wanted a sandwich. I ordered online and it was relatively easy except my side was a salad which was extra. But the extra charge wasn't being calculated in the online ordering. Okay, I guess they will pick up on the error once I pick it up. I arrived precisely when the confirmation said it would be ready. Walked in and headed right to the pick up area. There was one customer there who had ordered and paid. He was waiting for his two slices of pizza. I watched as the kid behind the counter was trying to box the two slices. Ten minutes later he succeeds, Yes, you heard that right. It took him ten minutes to box the pizza. My turn, tell him I ordered online a meatball sandwich. He looks and goes to get my order. My sandwich is in a paper bag then my salad in a plastic container. Before he gives me the food, he goes to register and prints a receipt that I have to sign. Okay, no up charge for the salad. I sign and return it. He looks at it and slowly gets my food. That whole interaction took ten minutes also. By now I am very hungry. Head home to open the sandwich. Peel open the outside wrapping to find the sandwich inside some aluminum foil. So I peel the cheese off the foil and try to open the foil. Imagine my disappointment to find the bread is a soggy mess because of so much sauce. It was no longer a sandwich but meatballs on sauce covered bread. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. I was not happy. At least the sauce wasn't sweet red sauce. The meatball was decent not too bready. The salad was just a regular salad. Not sure if I will return. read more

2nd Visit and 2nd time my order was forgotten to be entered. I'm a patient person who has worked at restaurants when i was younger. So when 45 min goes by without my food arriving while i have 2 children yelling and the wait staff just walks by thinking im just drinking a beer while my kids have no food is astonishing to me. Like at what point do they remember I ordered a pizza? I shouldn't have to ask where my order is. The staff should be. This is the SECOND time in two straight visits my order was straight up forgotten and our experience was ruined. I'm updating my review to 2 stars unfortunately. We went here on a Sunday and had it been my first or second experience I would never of came back. We arrived at 1pm and ordered our food by 1:05 I got a pizza slice and a drink. Son got a kids cheese pizza. Also ordered some garlic knots they are free with yep check-in and my wife got an Italian beef sandwich. About 1:45 our garlic knots came out. I asked the lady working where is the rest of the food. She was unapologetic and said they were busy. About 10-15 minutes later she brought my sons pizza amd wife's sandwich. The pizza was warm and the sandwich was cold and soggy and obviously been setting out for awhile. They never brought my pizza slice so they took it off the Bill. Our server Griffin was nice a apologetic. I think he was the only one waiting tables. Been here quite a few times and gotta say that this was a frustrating experience. I'm fine with waiting but goodness nothing there was 55 minutes of preparation time. I mean, they never brought a pizza slice and my wife's sandwich was probably sitting and soaking for a good 15 minutes before they brought it. Review is for the "deep dish Chicago style" pizza they claim to serve on their menu. This was nothing like Giordanos or Lous in Chicago. Or hell, even Patxis in the Bay. It was so thin. So basically instead of crust, sauce & cheese they just did crust, cheese and then sauce and claim it's deep dish. The cheese was kinda hard/congealed or whatever from the way they cooked it. Idk why it tasted like Paneer instead of mozzarella (maybe a method of cooking gone wrong??). The crust was gummy too. I also never met a pizza sauce I didn't like, well until tonight that is. They also nickle and dime the toppings like crazy. $2 for 1 topping on HALF of the pizza? More than that if you want it on the full pizza. The pizza already comes with no toppings. Yo, i'm willing to pay and wait the 80 minutes it takes to make this, IF it tastes good but it doesn't. Cant speak for the rest of their pies here but you're prbly better off with one of those. read more

This Chicago girl had high expectations. Big disappointment after waiting for years for Rosati's to finally make it to Austin. I ordered a thin crust cheese pizza. Crust was not thin and crispy like a Rosati's crust should be. Cheese was good & greasy (that's a good thing), but the crust was half cooked and mushy. I ended up just peeling the cheese off & eating that. As pricey as this is, it should be perfect. I'll give it a few months and see if there is any improvement, but meh. Not impressed. At least they did cut it in squares. And 40% of the people in line for carry-out weren't wearing masks. Gross. Update - didn't bother eating the leftovers - went in the trash and that makes me sad. read more

Everything was delicious and on time!!! The pizza was delicious and the beef sandwiches were great!!Can not wait to revisit!!

We have been wanting to try this place based off of the food reviews. We enter around 6pm on Saturday evening and pleasantly surprised that there are a few empty tables and not a line waiting. We stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes without any acknowledgement from any staff members. There were employees next to the hostess stand talking with an individual and a toddler (seemed like their own family member or someone they know). Finally a gentleman comes over and asks how many people. He has doesn't have any attire on that looks like he works there but seems to be a manager or something. He told us that he would go find the hostess. Then comes back over a couple of minutes later and asks a different patron that has also been waiting how many. She looks at us and he realizes that we are still waiting. He then goes back to look for the hostess again she comes over asks how many. We are then taken to the outside patio area (which looks like a great spot, has TV's, covered for any weather, etc.). She gives us the menus and then walks off. We then waited over 15 minutes just to not have one single staff member acknowledge that we are there. Needless to say, we walked out 20 minutes later with not a single word being said to us or any eye contact after we sat down. I understand if places are busy and I am happy to wait for our turn. What I will not accept is ignorance on behalf of a staff. If your assumed manager is just there to have dinner with his family, he shouldn't be speaking to patrons. If your staff is running behind or the kitchen is running behind, tell your patrons. As a staff member, that is walking out on the patio several times and you see that a table has nothing, you should at least say something to them to acknowledge that they are sitting there. I'm really bummed that this was the experience we had since we have been wanting to try it. read more

I was super excited to see that Rosati's offered a true Chicago style deep dish pizza! Unfortunately, I was a little displeased That when I received my pizza, it not a Chicago style Pizza . The seasoning was definitely there which I was so happy about. I do believe that in expecting a true Chicago style pizza brought on my disappointment because although the sauce was great in taste I wish there was more of it. I was expecting more of a meat pie as it is advertised on your website and not a regular deep dish.. The meat and cheese were also flavorful but again the same thing, it needed more. read more

They have stayed constantly busy since opening recently. And there have been little bumps on the road as they've gotten the place up and running. They just got online ordering running today, and I overheard a customer at the order counter discuss how it crashed during his order. So things arent all perfect yet. So expect a glitchy and slow process for a little while as systems get fully working and staff increases and gains experience. All that aside, I love this place, I am excited that they are here, and I plan to work my way through their menu. This is my second visit. First visit we got some of their great pizza. My adult son declared it to now be his favorite in the area. On this visit, I got an Italian Sausage sandwich that I really enjoyed. Sorry for no pics yet as we have to eat in the car due to Covid19. I haven't Yelped in a while. Truthfully, life and priorities have changed a bit. So, you'll see a lot less of me these days on here. But occasionally, someplace will stand out enough that I need to review it. Rosati's stands out. We stopped here on a Wednesday night out of curiosity. And we have a new pizza and Italian option. It's not NYC/East Coast, it's Chicago style. (And as a native Texan, my Italian knowledge doesn't quite know all of the differences -- but I do like this.) The food is great -- the dough bites, the build your own pasta, and the thin crust (square cut) pizza all satisfied and provided for 2 gargantuan meals. (And thanks for the to-go packaging.) But what really won us over was the stellar service. The owner came over to introduce herself and tell us about the restaurant and ALL about the food. Then our server Maddy took over and kept taking phenomenal care of us. Rosati's is really the only game in (really outside) of town for Chicago Stuffed crust pizza. It's a schlep to get there from Austin but 100% worth it. The owner is super friendly and they are quick to get people taken care of. The pizza's are perfectly spicy and delicious. The only downside is that the cravings for stuffed pizza really screw up my diet, but that's a me problem. I just love Chicago stuffed Pizza, regardless of what Jon Stewart thinks. read more

Ordered takeout to try the deep dish since it was rec'd to me and it was genuinely delicious! The crust was cooked through (which can be hit or miss as sometimes I've gotten raw dough from other places at the bottom), the sauce is a little sweet but still very tomato-y, and the quality of the cheese is phenomenal. Also I didn't see any recent reviews but do yourself a favor and get the jumbo bone in wings! There's actual meat on them and the price is right :) The takeout staff were kind and the bartender was awesome enough to point out where the takeout pickup was as well! The phone call was awful. The person who took the call was an absolute idiot. He needs to understand relevant questions to ask. When I arrived I had the pleasure of working with the Manager William. It became clear that Customer Service is not a priority here. I was handed cups to go and fill for myself. When I stated the tea was out where he sent me, he had no idea what to do. Ordered a Chicago style and it wasn't any thicker than a normal pie. The sauce was good but the cheese was mediocre, and the crust was hard to the point that it was uncomfortable to chew. It's too bad, I liked them when they first opened. I don't know if they've had to cut costs or something but I don't plan on going back. read more

We are from the Chi. Sub. Area and familiar with ROSATI'S chain. We were happy to have a familiar name show up in our Tx town of Cedar Park, when it opened. The first couple visits were ok as a new restaurant at first. We paused a bit for cheaper alternatives and then tried again. This time I was impressed by the flavors and cooking qualities that I remembered for the "Chicago Style Pizza"! Great job overall, and hope they keep up with the quality. The Canoli were very good also, as they were made fresh. Helpful girl with my order on the phone with my order, and then when I picked it up! Ok, great job everyone, look forward to our next pizza!
