My family and I ordered 2 pizzas and 20 wings ($67) over the phone where the rudeness began, my girlfriend was ordering and the employees thought she was speaking too fast and told her to "chill." I showed up intending to split the bill with two cards and the employee at the front had to get the owner (John) from the back since he did not know how to do it. I could see from the whole that faces the kitchen that John was annoyed, then came to the front, with no mask on and put one with his nose still out, and the first thing that came from his mouth was "do you know it is ilegal to pay with 2 credit cards?" With attitude. I replied that it is not true and I had 2 debits cards, then he did not do the transaction right and charged it all in one card, no apology and did not ofer to void it to do it again correctly. Then I asked how many ranch sauces were there since I got 20 wings and the owner replied " we always placed 1 sauce per every 6 wings, we put plenty of sauces there." When I got home there was 1 ranch........ for 20 wings...!!!!????? Rude employees, cheap and terrible owner, and this place does not put it's customers first, do not support them until this changes. "Pizza is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy" - Benjamin Franklin Ok...so perhaps I've taken some liberty with that quote. (No pun was intended...but that was pretty good nonetheless!) I love pizza. Chicago style deep dish, Chicago style thing crust, New York style, St. Louis style...you get the picture. Being from Chicago, I was somewhat familiar with Rosatis pizza. Up there, it was what I'd consider to be average fair. Not upper echelon, but not low guy on the totem pole either. When compared to options in Florida, I'd rank it higher, so when I learned they were opening here, I was excited! Before I start with my review, understand this: I like sausage on my pizza. However, there is a difference in how it's used depending upon the region. New York style for instance cooks at a quicker rate, so raw sausage cannot be used as it wouldn't cook through. The result is a dry, often tasteless glob on top of the pizza. Chicago thin crust (and deep dish of course) cook longer meaning raw sausage can be used. There is no comparison in taste...raw sausage cooked in the pizza wins every. single. time! This is one of the reasons I was excited about Rosatis arrival. I've ordered pizzas from this location several times, getting mostly the thin crust and once the deep dish. The thin crust was as I remembered it, with good flavor but a crust that was a bit soggy. By comparison, a true Chicago style thin crust has a crispy crust. So while it wasn't all I would want in the perfect pizza, it was tasty and true to the Rosatis formula. The deep dish left me disappointed though. An authentic Chicago style deep dish does not have a bready/doughy crust and the cheese is liberally used. Rosatis reminded me of the many "imposter" deep dishes I've sampled with a thick, doughy crust. There was not a lot of cheese, though the ingredients (sausage and pepperoni) were plentiful. The sauce was the highlight of the pizza, thick and chunky with a great flavor. All in all, I didn't dislike the pizza, but I didn't love it either. I would have no objection to eating a thin crust from there, but I would avoid the pan. They also offer a stuffed pizza, which I may or may not try down the line. I'd give it 3.5 stars, but in Yelp'land, I bumped it to four since they do utilize my preferred way of cooking the sausage and half stars are not an option. read more

One again I am disapapointwdcin the service I received at Rosatis this weekend. I ordered a large pizza and when I showed up noticed it was an extra large pizza and I asked the girl behind the counter and this was her explanation. Most people don't know we have extra large so when the cone in the are heppy because they did not know we had an extra large. My answer was this was ridiculous and she says next time I order, order a 16 inch pizza, which happens to be a large, kind of confused. Over the last 6 months I have had challenges with them. Got breadsticks that were put in aluminum foil and some sauce added to them, threw them out. Got a ceaser salad with tomatoes and cucumbers. Ordered one time and was told my pizza was going to be ready in 35 minutes, showed up in 40. Was told my pizza was almost done and it will be just a minute. Well 40 minutes later I got my pizza. It was not even in the oven when I got there. Would have been nice to know so I could have made decision on if I wanted to wait or not. The other night I enjoyed a fantastic Monster pie and wings. The pie was baked to absolutely perfection, the toppings were al'dente and plentiful. As for the Wings...The best in Oldsmar!!! Picked up pizza and it was no par baked like I requested. Gentleman at the register said he was the owner and said they don't do par baked on the Chicago pan style. Of course I had it par baked many times before. I brought in 12 coupons that I had collected for half off the pizza. He said my phone number did not show up and he would not honor them, saying they did not come from his restaurant. They did however. We had just had a pizza from them 2 weeks ago. I find it hard to believe he is the owner, let alone manager since he came across so ignorant with total lack of business sense. We are long time Rosati's customers at this Oldsmar location. We have been patrons through several managerial and staff turnovers. With that being said, the current staff and management lacks customer service skills beyond compare. Anyone who knows Chicago pizza, can verify the product sells itself, it's delicious! But, with the continued unpleasant experiences, competitors are worth the extra couple miles drive. Tonight's visit was extra disturbing as not only one, but a second staff member questioned our use of the "box-top" promotion. As advertised: "50% off one pizza of your choice when you save 12 coupons". With a crowded pick up station, employees stated "we don't see in our system you've ordered 12 times". To my surprise, I asked "where would I possibly get these, if I hadn't ordered with you"? The older, obviously overworked back order cook came out to verify "our name wasn't the system often enough" to possibly use this offer. I couldn't even believe this absurd rationale. This disrespectful older woman employee proceeded to ARGUE with me in front of several customers waiting to pick up their orders. This literally went on for over ten minutes. I actually felt like I was doing something wrong, asking them to honor their advertised promotion. Fortunately, the pizza was excellent but this type of service isn't worth a return visit or a cent more of our money! Disappointed doesn't even cover the experience. read more

Sad to leave a two star review but I truly haven't had this bad of food from a restaurant in a while. We ordered fettuccini alfredo with CHICKEN ON THE SIDE and asked for it to be in a separate box as I'm vegetarian and don't want it mixed in. When we got there after waiting 30 minutes to pick up the food the had put the chicken in the pasta and said they had to remake a new chicken breast. We waiting another 15 minutes for the food. We then also ordered a double dough pizza... I've never had a thinner pizza in my life. Just in town for the weekend and wanted a pizza for a late evening dinner after a long day of kids sports tournament. This place was near our hotel so we decided to try it. I ordered a 16 inch double crust with pepperoni, 2xtra sauce and extra cheese. We ordered online and picked it up ourselves. We chose their as soon as possible option which was about 30-40 minute wait (it's also an NFL playoff night if that matters). The pizza was done at 30 minute mark. It was super hot like just out of the oven which is a big plus for me right there. It's rare a request for extra sauce is actually executed well but boy did they do it right. Extra cheese was thick in a good way. The crust was cooked well despite the thickness. The pepperoni was plentiful but not overly greasy. It was tucked under the cheese and solidly covered the pie. If we were in the area again we'd happily stop in again. A few other reviews have reported clashes with staff but we had no problems in our visit. We ate way more of the pie than we'd planned just because it was good and we're jockeying for who gets a cold piece of leftovers for breakfast lol. read more

The food is good but I've gotta say, the service is horrible and that itself is reason to not order from here. Our order was placed at 5:30 and we had a scheduled delivery for no later than 6:30. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited for our pizza to be delivered and it never showed. By 6:45, i was over it. I had to call 3 different times to check on why it was so late and was assured each time that it was on the way and the driver was only a couple minutes away. Each time, I waited at least another 12-15 minutes before calling again and being told the same thing. Finally, it was delivered and was so cold and the cheese was hard. Clearly it had been sitting there for forever, now more than 2 hours after my promised and paid for delivery time. I drove over to the store to get a fresh pizza, which I had already paid for delivery and the convenience and all of it, and was met with confusion about why I was upset? Probably because I paid $50+ for disappointment and frustration. I wasn't even offered a free soda for the inconvenience. I've now been here twice since the opening of Rosati's and both times have left me more than satisfied. I'll start by saying that I don't care for deep dish pizza at all and I like the pizza here very much. For both of my visits I have taken advantage of their lunch special that they run that includes one jumbo slice of pizza and a bottled beverage for $5. Your total is actually $4.67 and with tax it brings it to an even $5. I love how they do that and it makes things easy for the customer and the cashier. Walk in, hand them your five-dollar bill, leave, eat and be happy. The reason why I say leave is because there isn't anywhere to sit beside a table for two outside. There's no chance of that happening, especially in the summer time. The pizza is extremely filling, good and not overdone by any means. My one complaint is that both times the temperature of my pizza has been slightly above room temperature. I even watched the girl behind the counter pull it out of the pizza case that clearly displays 137 degrees. It didn't feel that hot to me and I wish it was a little warmer. Most places display their pies and then throw the slice in the oven for a minute or two to crisp and warm them up. I wish they did the same here. The crushed red pepper that they serve on the side is fantastic and provides an extra flavor of heat. The location of Rosati's is tough to find, so make sure you're looking for it. I would expect that they will benefit from the overflow of Chick Fil A lunch hour and hopefully gain some cliental that way. I would also like to nominate Rosati's for arguably the worst promotion of all time. On the outside of their pizza boxes it says: Save 12 Coupons and get 50% off of your next pizza. C'mon, you can do better than that! That sure is a lot of work for a half off coupon. I'll definitely be back here for their wonderful lunch special and as someone in their mid-twenties, hopefully I don't fall off the face of the Earth before I collect my 12 coupons. read more

First time trying Rosati's Pizza stuffed pizza. I'm from Chicago and this is a bit different than traditional stuffed (not as thick) BUT it's AMAZING!!! We got cheese and sausage and I loved the sauce on this pizza. Reminded me of my favorite pizza back home. The cheese was really good as well. The crust could have been a bit crispier but still good. Three orders from DoorDash and Uber. The rest of the order gets here but not the pizza. Worst service ever!!!! Their deep dish is great but don't try to get a delivery. Beyond frustrated with this place!!!! I called (first time door dash, second and third Uber eats) all said they were not given the pizza. The restaurant says they didn't pick it up. So they all 3, from 2 delivery services (and I know sometimes same drivers) all didn't pick up a whole pizza??? I am a Chicago girl-born n raised in LaGrange Park, a western burb. I have not had Rosati's pizza since I transplanted to Tampa in 2000, so my excitement for a thin crust pizza coming to Tampa, well, it was over the top. Mind you, I am not a pizza lover, like some,but was very excited and skeptical. I am very happy to type....... IT WAS DELICIOUS AND JUST LIKE I REMEMBER!!!! I ordered a 12" thin crust x-cheese, sausage, mushroom, & green pepper. (There was enough cheese that next time I will skip the x-cheese) I opened the box in the car, as the smell was killing me, and smiled. There it was, a fantastic looking, great smelling pizza cut into squares, a Chicago thing. (It's not pie, its pizza!) I took the tiny "taster corner" on the upper right and was in heaven. Next red light, the lower right taster corner was eaten. Needless to say, my pizza made it home cornerless.(lots of red lights) I can not stress enough how good it was, it was for sure a taste of home. The crust, the sauce, everything was just on point! Best pizza I have had in Tampa since I transplanted. This will be the only pizza I ever eat in the future! With Rosati's now open, Portillo's open, all that I am missing is El Famous Burritos and I will never have to go back to Illinois! read more

Just like home.. pizza was perfect. Taste the same from Chicago down to the cheese, sauce, toppings and crust.. the cheef's were amazing haven't had a real beef since being back home.. Portillos is good and good for other things but not as good as this beef from Rosatis. Cinna sticks were good as well. I never had these before today. Everything was on point will be back for sure! I couldn't contain my excitement when I found out that a brand new Rosati's opened up a couple miles down the road! I was hoping it was a dine in restaurant, as I had been to one in Arizona that was a fantastic restaurant/sports bar. Nonetheless, my excitement remains. We felt we wouldn't do Rosati's justice without ordering some deep dish pizza on our first visit. A simple sausage & pepperoni deep dish was cheesy with a buttery crust. Simply delicious. We wanted to try a couple of appetizers as well so we got the onion rings and pizza bread. The onion rings came with a great side of ranch. The pizza bread was delicious but not something that I would order again if I was getting pizza. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that it tasted yummy! Another perk was that while looking at their website, I noticed that they have online ordering and if you register you receive 20% off your first order! As if there weren't enough reasons already to order from here. We have been waiting for Rosati's to open. Great menu with lots of selection. We tried the Chicago Stuffed Pizza - delicious. Lots of cheese in the middle, sauce on the top and buttery golden crust. Even our picky three year old who doesn't like to eat anything ate a whole piece by himself and said it gets 6 stars (although his rating system is arbitrary). Delivery took awhile, but the pizza itself takes 40 minutes to cook. The driver forgot our cannoli, but she returned shortly with the cannoli and a smile. Great customer service. I love pizza, I am normally a thin crust person but I think I'm switching to deep dish after eating here. The ingredients are so fresh and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pizzas are mostly big so you can share, which is nice. Plus the owners are actually Italians so they care about the food. Highly recommend! read more
