Welp. We are breaking up with Rosatis and it's been quite the run for our family of 6. However after spending 20 mins on the phone having to describe why the soggy, mushy GROSS 13.99 chopped salad was in fact soggy, and gross...while being left on hold waiting for Nicole to come back and forth to me telling me they checked the salad and it is "fine". That her manager Luis couldn't help me. Yet when I said, but it's not fine... and asked to speak to Luis, she said he couldn't come to the phone because he "doesn't speak English" and after waiting some more she said he offered $7.00 credit to my account (on a $14.00 dinner salad we can't eat.) So needless to say the frustration of getting gross food -which could have been remedied and was instead made into complete frustration and waste of my time and money, along with being told the food you paid is "fine"- when it is not, had my husband telling me to just hang up the phone and we just won't order again. I told her we order from Rosatis all the time... Same order. Never this problem. I'm not scamming. I'm not even that picky. It was just BAD. The pizza was good. So there's that. Fast delivery, nice driver. I am just shocked at the salad they sent looking like they found it in a bottom drawer and more so the customer service, or lack of. Anyway! So after being on hold and back and forth for 20 min, Nicole said they would have another manager call me. (cuz I guess Luis just likes to be called manager, not called to manage. ) No one called. I've gotten pizza slices in the past and their pizza is very good and the slices are very generous. The service is always warm and courteous. Today we went there and decided on sandwiches. Big mistake. We ordered at 12:20, fully expecting we could eat and leave within 30 minutes because I had to get back to work. The guy who took our order did not inform us our two sandwiches would not be ready for 25 minutes! I know they were busy but carry out orders have always taken priority wherever I have worked. So, after an unexpectedly long wait, our sandwiches came. My husband said his sausage and beef combo was ok. My Italian beef, dipped, with giardinara was a disaster. It came not dipped, but swimming in the au jus. See photo. Impossible to eat without cutlery which was not provided. The most disappointing part was that the au jus had zero flavor. All I tasted was the heat of the giardinara. Overall, I was sorry I stopped by. It was convenient, so if I ever find that to be my best option I'll get a slice of pizza. Having ordered from this location before we expected the same level of food quality as delivered before. Unfortunately I had to give at least a 1 star when in this case not even that was deserved. Received a side order of meatballs that were black on one side, not burned but old and hard as rocks. Ironically they were in the container black side up. How could anyone be that careless and unconcerned about quality. Blatantly obvious these meatballs were no good. Even more concerned now about the two pasta dishes we ordered. If that carelessness is for only two meatballs who knows what they did with the pasta. Not eating any of it and tossed all of it in the garbage. Rosati's offered a credit for the meatballs but we won't be ordering from this location again and possibly not any Rosati's if this is what we can expect. If I could give Rosati's a zero stars I would, but that is not an option. Tonight we placed an order via Door Dash for a monster pizza, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, triamisu, side of hot peppers and ranch. When we received the order the pizza was good, but the boneless wings and mozzarella sticks were burnt and not edible. When I called the Rosati's Round Lake to complain I was told I had to contact Door Dash because I ordered from them, so I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to Jose who basically said the same thing, call Door Dash because you placed the order with them. I said Door Dash was the delivery service, but you are the ones that made the food and sent out bad quality via the Door Dash driver. He repeated I know, but you ordered and paid via Door Dash so any food issues should be dealt with them. It is unbelievable that a customer has to go through such hoops to get a credit back for poor quality food. I paid $22.79 for the wings and $10.79 for the mozzarella sticks. That's a total of $33.58 of bad quality food. My total is was $88.97, plus tip and delivery for Door Dash. I asked Jose to speak to his manager to see what he would say and he said his manger would say the same thing, deal with Door Dash. The mangers name is Juan and his manager is Louis. So needless to say I felt the need to send this feedback to Rosati's Franchise Office for feedback. Unfortunately I will not be coming back to Rosati's and will be place a bad review on google to warn other customers. Customers should not have to jump through such hoops for food that was made poorly. In this day an age where food prices have gone up so much it is a treat to order out, but to order and get burnt food and to have to establishment basically say so sorry nothing we can do. Door Dash did not make the food, the person so made it and the person who packaged it should be retrained and spoken to about the quality that is going out the door. My rating and review is based solely, soulfully and woefully on the CHOPPED SALAD I ordered on 3/2/22. (I have had their pizzas and no complaints there.) My baby hunger pangs pleaded with papa, "Food, daddy, we need yummy in the tummy foodstuffs!" I heard and answered their call, but was not about to stuff them silly with exorbitant calories as I've put on a bit more padding than I need...a donut-wheel spare I can live with, but a Michelin Man brother Eng NO WAY. Which explains my ordering chopped salad instead of the five-meat pie with onions and olives. My mouth watered at the prospect of delving into a healthy entrée of salad that would have AT LEAST a slice of crisp bacon crumbled over AT LEAST 20 tiny cubes of fresh tomato and red onion and AT LEAST 10 or so millimeter-cubed green pepper pieces packed with speckled flavor...but all I GOT was a big fat bowl's worth of iceberg lettuce shards and next to nil's worth of said ingredients. Ordered a pizza for pick up large sausage mushroom extra cheese. While walking out to car thought the box was empty it was so light. Opened it when I got to the car and it was listed as only mushroom cheese - looked like a cheap frozen pizza. Went back in and they offered to remake me the pizza I ordered for free (how nice). When I asked her to explain she said the prices have gone up. She said a large pizza was 32.00 (that is ridiculous) and 6 wings are 9.99. That still only comes to 43.00. Ordered a thin crust pizza tonight for dinner. Crust was crispy and there was a good amount of cheese and toppings. Mondays they have discounts so it was a good deal. My favorite part about rosatis is that they have breaded veggies as appetizers. We get the cauliflower. Somehow it is always hot when we get it home and it is awesome. It's one of my favorite Chicago pizza places! But tonight was super frustrating.... I ordered wings and a pizza online for my family and sent my sister to go pick it up with her friend. When they got there, they claimed I didn't pay for my order. But I did online, and it charged my credit card. I sent screen shots for them to show them -- they gave them a very hard time asking why the charge stated "Rosati's New York" -- we told them we don't know? That maybe that's where the headquarters are or something? But the charge is exactly for the amount in which my order is, and they received the order. At one point, my sister was ignored by an employee.... And none of them were friendly, helpful or apologetic about the misunderstanding. Several minutes in, they said its as fine and my sister took the food home. But I don't know why they tried to say I didn't pay in the first place. Then when they got home, they noticed my order was wrong. We called to let them know, and asked for a manger, but the person on the other line told us we have to contact "SLICE" to get a refund (Apparently SLICE is the site I placed my order through?? I didn't realize)... And come to realize, I may have made the mistake of ordering my wings plain, when I meant to order hot/buffalo. IT might have been my mistake, but the fact that they were so RUDE and didn't even assist in helping us correct this was very upsetting. I've been patronizing Rosati's again more recently, as they seemed to be operating in line with corporate guidelines instead of independently. I thought this shift would result in more consistent quality. My usual order is a pasta dish with a large salad; the latter I save for lunch the following day. The last 2 times I placed an order, the lettuce in the salad was so old and poorly drained that it was barely edible; the leaves were starting to wilt and turn brown. Last night I ordered the Penne Alla Rosati with broccoli. The pasta was room temperature when it arrived; my dinner was delayed 45 minutes while I reheated it in the oven (Rosati's doesn't use microwave safe containers). I called Rosati's to alert them to the situation. The girl who answered the phone offered only a weak apology, but not before trying to place blame on the delivery driver. It wasn't his fault -- he showed up pretty soon after the app pinged that the food was on its way, and he used the insulated bag. I suspect the pasta was cold because they didn't realize until they were packing it to go that I had asked them to add broccoli, and they added it straight from the freezer. It's a shame, because Rosati's has a good menu and they offer regular deals and discounts. But a deal is no bargain if the dish is prepared poorly, and/or the kitchen doesn't ensure the freshness of the ingredients. Here's the frustrating part: Even if I take my business elsewhere, I'll probably run into the same problems. Why does nobody give a damn anymore about quality or the customer experience?!? I've been working nonstop for the past 40+ years and I STILL get mortified when I make a mistake, especially a customer-facing one. I do everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen again. The people working in the restaurant industry might want to consider that taking a more customer oriented approach might actually lead to greater job satisfaction and a sense of pride in one's work. read more

I needed a last minute dinner to feed nine people with all different food preferences. The Round Lake Rosati's came through for me with their Ultimate Party Package. Great variety -- great taste -- and so reasonably priced! New ownership and they are really making an effort to make sure they do it right.
