    Guacamole was homemade and delicious
    Pat O.

3 girlfriends and I had brunch at this new local, to me, restaurant. The location used to be my favorite cupcake shop and I was sad to see it go. Service was very friendly (she is the aunt to the young owner, who was there assisting customers too), if a bit slow. We were talking so much, we didn't care how long it took. One friend ordered iced tea and it was very watered down. They had obviously poured hot tea over ice and the melted ice dominated the results. She told the young man serving drinks and he quickly, and graciously, took her tea back and brought back another tall glass of tea tasting iced tea. My Chai Latte, no foam, arrived a little late, and was not quite hot, but it was delicious. We finally got around to ordering and we ordered the breakfast burrito, a Denver Omelet, chicken salad and the chicken burrito. We all made some adjustments to our orders, to fit our tastes, with no concerns or attitude from our waitress. The food arrived, separately, in a timely manner. I'm sure they wanted to be sure the meals were delivered while hot, but it would have been nice to have them all delivered at the same time. In any case, we all loved our food. I'm the only one that had leftovers, to have my 1/2 breakfast burrito for lunch the next day. We remained a bit longer when the staff arrived with a small hot apple pie and a lit candle, to celebrate my birthday. Everyone sang, I cut it into 4 slices and we all agreed the pie was delicious. We all enjoyed the quaint decor, very reminiscent of the cupcake shop. Seating was comfortable and they had opened up one wall to increase the number of tables. The restaurant was about 80-90% full, which is a very good sign of success. Our only issue was parking. Street parking is 2 hour metered, on Chatsworth, if you can find any and can parallel park. I couldn't find any so I parked in the neighborhood, around the corner, in front of someone's home. As we were leaving we all decided we would return to Rose Cafe. It was a nice brunch.

Came in for a birthday breakfast, which was my first time, but my family's second time. They had a good sized menu with lots to choose from! They even have vegetarian and vegan options! We got one coffee to try and it was okay, not the best 4/5 on taste, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Food was delicious! And staff was very friendly! Would love to try new items next time I go! Dinning room looks very cute as it looks like an old home! Parking is street parking outside, which can take some time to find.

I am so happy this restaurant has opened close to me in Granada Hills. I came today with my mom and we were delighted with the customer service and well prepared food. I think this may be the top breakfast spot in this area. My chilaquiles Rojas w/ chicken was so delicious!! The best I had in a really long time. The beans were good, the rice was moist, and the chicken had so much flavor and the food was made fresh and hot!! I love how they even give you avocados without asking it comes with the dish that I ordered. The menu is massive and it has so much to choose from!! From breakfast to lunch!!! This is why I will be back for sure!! My latte was even good and they have almond milk!! It's a cute restaurant that's family owned and it's pretty spacious inside with decent seating! It's cute inside with red and pink!! The customer service is just greaaaat!!! They come and check on you very personable and very friendly!! Top notch service seriously!! It's street parking pretty much only!! Located in a perfect area so it may be hard to find parking!! I will be back very soon!!!

Honestly, I can't believe I didn't try this place sooner. The waitress was super sweet, attentive, and genuinely happy loved that. My friend and I both ordered the chilaquiles (one red, one green) and didn't even ask to try each other's plates that's how good it was. Parking was easy, the vibe was cool and slightly old-school, and the only thing missing was a mimosa. See you soon!

My husband and I had a nice brunch date today in this local, cozy restaurant. Yo will be feel in another country, because the decoration is very European vibe. The service is really nice, friendly, fast, and the food is delicious! My husband loved the chai latte. The brown sugar ... late was very tasty. If you don't eat too much, you can share and save a room for a pancake. Next time, we will try the pies. The price is reasonable. Another observation is that locals go there! It is very nice! If you have a visitor in your house, it is a good place to take him. High recommended!

    Soft opening this week

Rose Cafe and Bakery has opened their doors and are currently having a soft opening this week. I love how cute the cafe is.... and not to mention, their menu is fabulous. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with warmth. The staff is very friendly and helpful- they took my drink order as soon as I sat down. I ended up ordering the green chilaquiles and they were good; it came with a side of rice and beans. They also have plenty of sweet options available like pancakes and waffles to choose from. I was craving something savory this morning though. Come support your local businesses and let's fill up this new cafe in the valley!

Great place to catch up with a bestie and have a lovely time. The staff was really helpful and food was so delicious! I had the Abuelita's Mocha Latte and it was just the right amount of sweet with the coffee. The waffles were crunchy and soft on the inside.

Nice small mom and pop cafe. I came in for a sweet treat and enjoyed a delicious banana cream pie that was made freshly for me and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Can't wait to come back and have lunch with the girls. Desserts and service are top tier!

This family-run cafe needs to succeed. The food and the staff are wonderful. Esther took care of mom and I and she was a delight. By her recommendation, I tried the chilaquiles verde. They were excellent. Mom ordered the eggs benedict. The ham was perfectly smoky and their potatoes were so flavorful. I also drank their Abuelita's Mocha. The added cinnamon was excellent. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Update: took my husband here for his birthday breakfast so he could try the chile relleno plate. Given that it's their soft opening they have room for improvement. The food came out warm - not hot. The cheese wasn't melted on the refried beans. They did reheat it for him. The beans and rice were bland. Definitely needs something added to enhance the flavors. The sauce on the chile rellenos also needed a boost of flavor. Service was excellent! The eggs, bacon and fresh toast were good. I'll wait a couple more months to give them another opportunity.

Such a cute and cozy little cafe! We really needed this place in Granada Hills. I have been twice now and the staff is extremely helpful and sweet, plus the food has been great and coffee is yummy as well. Looking forward to this place's continued success :)

Ask the Community - Rose Cafe and Bakery

Noticed steps to enter restaurant- is their access for wheelchair? Isn't it against CA to have a business that is non accessible for disabled wheelchair customers??? Would love to try Rose Cafe but no way to enter with stairs. Is there access?

Ask the staff at the entrance. Nearly all the business along that block with entrance steps will provide flat entrance access in the back if you let them know.

Although it was close to closing time, the young man who was minding the shop was very friendly and gracious in answering our questions. They have a beautiful selection of cake slices, pastries, and even coffee drinks available. They do custom whole cakes for birthdays and other occasions. With the name of Napoleon, I thought it was a French bakery. It turns out that they specialize in a number of European confections, including options from Eastern Europe. Without a lot of time before they were done for the day, Dear Hubby and I each chose a cake slice, and we got a cake pop for our Sweet Granddaughter. She got to pick the color icing she preferred, which was nice. The pricing seems fair, especially given the loving care that's gone into baking and decorating each baked treat. We will definitely be visiting again. They are within 5 to 10 minutes of where our kids live, so there you go - a new "secret" place discovered!

The…read moreplace looked popular with tables filled on the patio and the pastries on display through the window looked intriguing so decided to take a chance and maybe get a small coffee and some pastries to try. There was a young man at the counter who welcomed us with a wonderful smile. He said his name is Said (pronounced Sa-eed) and asked if it was our first time here. We said it was, so he offered to give us some samples of their most popular bake goods. He said it is made of light custard and it's called soft cake and it is traditional pastry from his country in Uzbekistan that his mother bakes all from scratch. In Asia we also don't like overly sweet cakes so we thought it sounded to fit our taste preferences. And we loved it after trying! My mom said it tastes very similar to the cake she had back in Seoul in her childhood she misses fondly, but she could never have that same taste. Just a little sweeter. But the custard and texture of the cake is just the same. We also got the eclair. And it was pretty good too. But definitely recommend the soft cake!! Sooo yummyyy!! I also got the strawberry cold foam matcha latte and my mom got a small americano coffee. She said it's the best coffee she had in a cafe. Of course superb compared to Starbucks or any other coffee franchise. She says American coffee shops always burn their beans so it tastes burnt, but this place roasted the beans just right. And we also loved the strawberry cold foam matcha. I don't know how, but it tasted like really strawberry was in the drink!! My mom said it's the best strawberry milk she ever had here and in Korea! And she wants to order again when we come by next time. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Food and drinks were all prepared with such care, but given at a reasonable time. Some of these cafes take forever to make your drinks, even Starbucks makes you wait 20 minutes! These other coffee shops make it seem like they're doing some complex chemistry experiment how long it takes for just a drink! But this young guy he makes the drink in under 5 min and it tastes 10x better anything those other coffee shops make, but in less than half the time! I really thought maybe it was really hard making drinks, but this young dude makes it look like a walk in the park, the speed and ease he cranks out the drinks. I think Uzbekistan people must be just built different! and he was also so kind and pleasant taking the time to explain and answer all our questions. Some of these other places wouldn't even bother or make it feel like you're pulling a nail from them the way they grimace. He was so nice we wanted to give a tip, but he even said he didn't want us to. He'd happily accept just our enjoying the food and drinks and would appreciate if we left a review for his cafe. just had to leave a review. Especially after how nice he is. And hearing his story and how it's a family run bakery with the mom baking and son making drinks and running front counter. And an authentic European bakery!! Wow! Aren't we so glad they moved into our neighborhood! A Real quality cafe I didn't even know what I was missing until I stepped into this little shop by mere chance! I Will definitely come by again. And anyone else who discovers this little gem would be so lucky and blessed as us!

I am grateful that their style seems to be to use less sugar than other bakeries. You can enjoy the sweetness without being overwhelmed by the sugar content. Later, AG was craving a coffee drink, so the oldest and youngest generation hopped in to the car and went out to get drinks and desserts. Sweet Granddaughter was having a blast, getting attention from 3 of her favorite adults, PLUS getting to pick her own sweets. What more could a six year old want? She's pretty discerning about baked goods, and even got her own tray. We had to pare back some of her selections. AG got his java jolt, and I was able to order a decaf crafted beverage that satisfied my taste buds. $48, four drinks, and multiple pastries to go later, we were headed out the door. Whew!
