Let me just start off by saying ... I know everything now a days is expensive BUT if you give me a good plate amount it'll be worth the price. This was our first and last time coming here. Food was pretty tasty BUT the amount for the price was ridiculous. We ordered the Chorizo plate and it was ONE chorizo taco and they gave you 2 other tortillas wrapped in foil .. for what ? There's no extra chorizo to eat it with. Price 18+ Kid meals are usually $6-8 these plates were $10 & what really got us was I ordered a side of pancakes. (2) they charged $5 PER PANCAKEE. That's absurd. My bill was $88. read more

3 girlfriends and I had brunch at this new local, to me, restaurant. The location used to be my favorite cupcake shop and I was sad to see it go. Service was very friendly (she is the aunt to the young owner, who was there assisting customers too), if a bit slow. We were talking so much, we didn't care how long it took. One friend ordered iced tea and it was very watered down. They had obviously poured hot tea over ice and the melted ice dominated the results. She told the young man serving drinks and he quickly, and graciously, took her tea back and brought back another tall glass of tea tasting iced tea. My Chai Latte, no foam, arrived a little late, and was not quite hot, but it was delicious. We finally got around to ordering and we ordered the breakfast burrito, a Denver Omelet, chicken salad and the chicken burrito. We all made some adjustments to our orders, to fit our tastes, with no concerns or attitude from our waitress. The food arrived, separately, in a timely manner. I'm sure they wanted to be sure the meals were delivered while hot, but it would have been nice to have them all delivered at the same time. In any case, we all loved our food. I'm the only one that had leftovers, to have my 1/2 breakfast burrito for lunch the next day. We remained a bit longer when the staff arrived with a small hot apple pie and a lit candle, to celebrate my birthday. Everyone sang, I cut it into 4 slices and we all agreed the pie was delicious. We all enjoyed the quaint decor, very reminiscent of the cupcake shop. Seating was comfortable and they had opened up one wall to increase the number of tables. The restaurant was about 80-90% full, which is a very good sign of success. Our only issue was parking. Street parking is 2 hour metered, on Chatsworth, if you can find any and can parallel park. I couldn't find any so I parked in the neighborhood, around the corner, in front of someone's home. As we were leaving we all decided we would return to Rose Cafe. It was a nice brunch. read more

I drive past this place often and wanted to try it out for lunch. The Epic Triple Meat Club isn't as epic as it named. The grilled cheese sandwich is really light on cheese. Their chips look like kettle chips from Trader Joes. The price isn't worth it for the amount you get. All servers on break at next table and didn't check up on us. I think the cook waited on our table. They had ceiling fans on hurricane speed so I guess they don't have adequate air conditioning. read more

Came in for a birthday breakfast, which was my first time, but my family's second time. They had a good sized menu with lots to choose from! They even have vegetarian and vegan options! We got one coffee to try and it was okay, not the best 4/5 on taste, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Food was delicious! And staff was very friendly! I am so happy this restaurant has opened close to me in Granada Hills. I came today with my mom and we were delighted with the customer service and well prepared food. I think this may be the top breakfast spot in this area. My chilaquiles Rojas w/ chicken was so delicious!! The best I had in a really long time. The beans were good, the rice was moist, and the chicken had so much flavor and the food was made fresh and hot!! I love how they even give you avocados without asking it comes with the dish that I ordered. The menu is massive and it has so much to choose from!! From breakfast to lunch!!! This is why I will be back for sure!! My latte was even good and they have almond milk!! It's a cute restaurant that's family owned and it's pretty spacious inside with decent seating! Honestly, I can't believe I didn't try this place sooner. The waitress was super sweet, attentive, and genuinely happy loved that. My friend and I both ordered the chilaquiles (one red, one green) and didn't even ask to try each other's plates that's how good it was. My husband and I had a nice brunch date today in this local, cozy restaurant. Yo will be feel in another country, because the decoration is very European vibe. The service is really nice, friendly, fast, and the food is delicious! My husband loved the chai latte. The brown sugar ... late was very tasty. If you don't eat too much, you can share and save a room for a pancake. Next time, we will try the pies. The price is reasonable. Another observation is that locals go there! It is very nice! Update: took my husband here for his birthday breakfast so he could try the chile relleno plate. Given that it's their soft opening they have room for improvement. The food came out warm - not hot. The cheese wasn't melted on the refried beans. They did reheat it for him. The beans and rice were bland. Definitely needs something added to enhance the flavors. The sauce on the chile rellenos also needed a boost of flavor. Service was excellent! The eggs, bacon and fresh toast were good. We had a pretty frustrating experience here. After placing our order, we waited at least 40 minutes for our food, which felt excessive given the situation. What made it more disappointing was seeing customers who came in about 10 minutes after us, ordered food to go, and received their meals before we even got ours. The food itself was actually good and met expectations, but the wait time and lack of communication really took away from the overall experience. Service was mediocre--nothing terrible, but not attentive enough to make up for the long delay. read more

Joe's Cafe was where I was trying to go for breakfast but apparently they have permanently closed. Rose Cafe is next door.. which I haven't been to so I thought id give them a try. Super friendly staff, clean and inviting. There is a good selection of items between the two sets of menus (breakfast menu & lunch menu). I ordered the Chorizo Breakfast plate.. which hit the spot for me. The dining area was filled with amazing aroma of buttery pancakes and bacon... and coffee! The staff made sure that our coffee mugs were always topped-off. Excellent service. Lots of happy customers. We were party of 7 and everyone seemed to be satisfied. My 2 friends and I stopped in for a quick treat during a Friday afternoon after shopping at the near by boutiques. We were greeted by the sweet shop owner when we entered. The space was adorable and clean. We were looking for sweet treats and boy did we find them! We ordered a mini banana cream pie to share and chocolate chip cookies. The pie was perfectly sweet and tasted super fresh. The whipped cream on top was so yummy. We devoured it quickly. Then came the chocolate chip cookies! We were lucky enough to get fresh cookies from the oven and they were hands down the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. All in all, a wonderful experience and yummy food! I have eaten here three times when they first opened. It was great. I have eaten their turkey croissant sandwich in the restaurant, and it was incredibly generous and delicious. Today I had it delivered, and it tasted awful. There was something wrong with the mayonnaise. The turkey was cut very thin and there was little of it. And you can see by the photo that there was only a hint of avocado. And the ranch I asked for on the side was gross. I don't know if it was old, but it was definitely watered down and tasted funny. It's not a cheap sandwich. Now I'm not in a hurry to go back to the restaurant and try again. read more
