Rose Garden is a deceptively wonderful place. While the interior has the feel of a mom & pop pizza place, it's simplicity and starkness is more than made up for by it's excellent staff and delicious food. The staff are always smiling, attentive, and pleasant. We have always been seated quickly and have our orders taken quickly as well. The food on the menu is standard Chinese fare and has all of the items you'd expect to find at any Chinese restaurant. The quality of the food is outstanding. Their Crispy Pork and Crispy Chicken are our favorites. We've also had the Mongolian Beef and several other dishes. All were excellent. A typical order comes with two Crab Ragoons, which are just about the best in the city. The Hot & Sour soups is also among the best I've had. My wife and I go here often. When we feel like taking our time and having a relaxing dinner in a quiet place, this is the ideal place to do it. If we want take out, our orders are ready quickly. This place is delicious. I love their chicken, and their fried rice is delicious too. Me and my sister will share a chicken order and then some fried rice. I enjoy their food, and the service is always good. Their a good place to go for Chinese's food, and it is one of my favorite places to go when I get Chinese's once in a blue moon. This place is pretty good. I've ordered takeout several times, and now this place has become my favorite Chinese place. It's also conveniently located less than a block away from my house. I recently ate in as well, and the food seemed even better than usual. So far i've tried the Cashew Chicken, the Rose Garden Chicken, and Orange Flavor Chicken. They also have the biggest eggrolls i've ever seen; not sure what the deal with that is but I'm not complaining. read more

A friend recommended this place as I am from out of town. I took my 85 year old father who is critical of everything. I loved it and he even said he will definitely be back. The food was prepared perfectly, the prices are very reasonable and our waiter was on point. This place would be excellent for a group of 6-8 friends where a selection of appetizers and entrees were ordered and shared. Some people mind not like the fact they don't serve alcohol. Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice for myself and baby sister. After receiving the food and arriving home in 2 minutes because I love so close. I opened our food and took one bite and realized I had a long stand of hair in my food. Obviously not from myself or sister since the hair color was black and ours is not, the hair was straight and long while ours is short and curly! It was mixed deeply in the food showing it obviously came from the Restuarant. So I called to report the issue while leaving out the door at the same time to take it back to the Restuarant. They agreed to replace the meal which is all I wanted or my money back which they also agreed we too. Only to arrive, show them the hair still in the food with forks and all. The woman replies back accusing me of eating the food because I had the fork in it. Then switched her statement to suggest I planted the hair. She then proceeds to refuse to replace my dish or money. Then slams the dish in my chest telling me to eat it and take it. All while in front of my 4 year old sister who is now tearing up because of the lady being hostile. I still left the food and attended to my sister and took her to red lobsters for her favorite "lobster pizza" thank god for that. Overall she was rude, disrespectful, with no class or the slightest professionalism. Even if I didn't get my money or food replaced she didn't have to be hostile with me all while being in front of a child. By the way I kept my composure because I don't teach my sister violence and I'm her example!! read more

It was my first time there and I ordered the Beef Szechuan and an egg roll. So gooooooood! The egg roll was bigger than normal, it almost gave me a complex... but so tasty... where have these things been all my life? The rice was soft and fluffy like the clouds at the beginning of the Simpsons. The Beef Szechuan quite simply made my soul feel good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp like they were plucked from some secret magical garden in the back. The beef was tender like a high five from a small child. The service was on point as well. Chinese food that taste very good and not to expensive. I enjoy ordering either peanut butter chicken or orange chicken. These two items seem to be the best on the menu! I love the fact when you order your meal it already comes with a side dish of two crab rangoon's! The soda pop doesn't come from a fountain which is another thing I would like to add on . They come from actual soda bottles instead. Which allows you to take the soda bottle on the go and not worry about spilling it in the car or having to ask for a to go cup. rose garden is something that I would highly recommend. read more

To the reviewer who complained that their girlfriend ruined her food by pouring something she thought was mustard on her food: 1. That's her own fault, if you don't know what your pouring on your food, taste it out a little first, 2. Most Chinese restaurants have the same type of mustard the Rose Garden does, hot mustard that does have some horseradish in it. 3. Why should the waiter replace her food due to her own mistake? I will give you that yes, green tea and black tea is different. This restaurant has never let me down. Their food is always top notch. Probably the best in Omaha in my opinion. As far as the styrofoam to go packages, lots of places use this and I've had many spills in my bag. It's not a make or break for me. It's a nuisance, yes but I'm fairly used to it. Bottom line, the food is great, service is quick and pleasant. Love the place. I've been coming here for years and it's always great. The family that runs it is super friendly. The shrimp toast and crab rangoons are delicious. The egg drop soup is tasty. We just moved back to this area and needed to find a new Chinese "go to" spot. We went for the closest place and did not expect it to be near as delicious as it was. We called in our order for pickup and it was super hot and ready. So hot that I had to let it cool off even when we got back to our apartment! Good portion size, low prices, and consistent quality are the mark of this Chinese place right next to the Varsity at 96th and Q. I get their Mongolian Beef special on Wednesday night and usually order something for my co-workers. My one complaint is that their menu is not available online (if you find one, it is probably another Rose Garden, so beware). They serve your normal Chinese-American food, so they probably have what you're looking for. read more

Rose Garden on Q st is one of the best local Chinese restaurants that I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. Everytime I go there (which is way more than I'm willing to admit) it is superb; the food is fresh and always hot whenever I receive it. They have a nice dining area suitable for anyone to dine in. This place is too close to my work so it's dangerously addictive! I would definitely recommend eating here if you are in the neighborhood. I even make special trips all the way from 60th and Ames....that's how awesome this is. Try it! You won't be disappointed. read more
