    Pad Kee Mao chicken

Rose Garden is a local staple restaurant to have a tasty meal in town! I ordered the chicken pad kee mao because it had lots of veggies in it. I ordered it for lunch and was in between jobs trying to grab lunch super quick and my food was ready in 10 minutes! By the time I got to the restaurant, it was ready! I was so glad they didn't have a long wait. Rose garden is efficient and always tasty!

I was having a bad day and my husband decided to take me out to eat for a pick-me-up. We were craving Thai food and wanted to try somewhere new since we've always defaulted to Bahn Thai Lao or Rice Barn. My friend has told me about this place and I've had it in my yelp bookmarks for so long so finally got to try it! We ordered Crispy Garlic Chicken and Lemon Chicken Fried Rice. We ordered through Uber Eats and had no wait. The place was clean and had plenty of tables to dine-in. We took our food to go and our food was still pretty hot to eat! Both dishes were so amazing and flavorful that my husband and I think we might have a new favorite Thai place in Vacaville. We are already planning for when we want to go back to try more dishes on the menu! Definitely gotta give them a try!

I picked up some Thai food to take to go, for dinner earlier this week. I haven't visited Rose Garden in years. I remember the cucumber salad and the customer service was top tier. The man at the counter was very nice, he offered me ice water while I waited for my food. I ordered pad Thai w/ chicken, very spicy, and cucumber salad. The pad Thai did not disappoint and left plenty for leftovers. It definitely was very spicy! Yess!! Cucumber salad was absolutely yummy! Sweet and had a nice bit of crunch with the cucumbers and carrots. The inside of the restaurant had plants, a nice sized flat screen TV, and Valentine's Day decor. Thanks for dinner with a smile! I will be returning :)

This place has stayed under my radar for way too long! Everything we ordered was just so delicious, and the staff there are super sweet and friendly. It's a smallish space, so not a whole lot of seating, and it seems like they get a lot of to go orders so it may take a little longer to get your meal. They are absolutely worth the wait though! We ordered the chicken pad thai, lemon chicken, spicy fried catfish stir fry and lemme tell you!!! All 3 were smaaaaackin! The pad thai was a little saucy but the noodles were cooked perfectly. They have nice good chunks of fried tofu throughout and did not skimp on the chicken. A good balance of sweet and tangy, I just wish I ordered it spicy! The lemon chicken is a huge order! The slabs of fried chicken are pounded thin, coated in a nice crunchy batter. They fry up some broccoli and carrots too, so you can get your veggies in... maybe not the healthiest but it's yummy! I'd personally prefer a thicker cut of chicken, because it is heavy on the batter to chicken ratio however, this is still a solid dish to share. The lemon sauce is sweet and creamy, and they're super nice to give you a whole new sauce to go if you have leftovers. The catfish stir fry was my absolute favorite of the night. They fry up big meaty chunks of catfish filet (no bones), eggplant, bell peppers and green beans, and stir fry it with a sweet and savory red curry paste and aromatics. I did ask this to be medium spicy but it had a very mild heat only. Nonetheless, the sauce was so good and coated each bite of catfish. This was so bomb over rice. Compared to other Thai restos in the area, their prices are really good especially for the portion, quality and taste! Entrees do not come with steamed rice but I'd start with just one order and then go from there. Each rice order is pretty large and be shared between two if you have another carb dish. This might be my new favorite Thai spot in the area, so I'll definitely be back to give other plates a try!

Under new management...Rose Garden has always been a fave and now even moreso. We do miss the ladies we used to joke around with and would tell us we order too much...But today we have the pleasure of two very kindly and generous gentlemen, they really catered to our table. Portions are plentiful and comprise of very full plates! We also received complimentary drinks...maybe it's new management thing, but we're surely grateful. We ordered way too much per the usual but lunch leftovers are perfect for the following day. Crispy Calamari Pork Belly Fresh Spring Rolls w/ Shrimp Tom Yum Tofu Pad Thai Papaya Salad Pumpkin Curry Chicken Are the fan favorites. Same amazing taste and flavors and huge portions! We can wait to come back! kop khun ka!

Delicious Thai dinner. We had all the best and now we have leftovers for tomorrow. I will hope to come again

Amazing first time for lunch while back in my home town from Arizona. Pad Thai was amazing 5/5. The Thai Tea was a lot of fun (they gave it to me for free as part of a special). 5/5 Sprong rolls were also good. 4/5 Service was attentive and never let my water go empty. Their were monks in the building when i walked it. I thought that was a good sign. It was. I will be back.

Green Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Tea

I saw good reviews on this Thai restauraunt here and wanted to give it a try. The menu prices seemed pretty reasonable, I remember seeing the papaya salad was $10, and the special menu item soft shell crab pad Thai was around $15. We ordered the soft shell crab pad Thai, tom yum goong, and red curry duck. We ordered the green Thai iced tea and Thai iced tea. The green thai iced tea had a strange, off-flavor to it, like it was artificial. Not sure what they put in it, but I've had better tasting green Thai iced tea elsewhere before. One thing I noticed is the duck and shrimp were very skimpy in the curry and the tom yum soup. Other than that the dishes were good. The pad thai wasn't anything special aside from the fact there's fried soft shell crab on top of it. I ordered the tom yum soup Thai hot but it wasn't to my standards/not spicy enough. The waitress was kind enough to offer me the Thai pepper condiments though! They serve you shrimp chips with a peanut sauce and they fill waters pretty frequently. I'd give this place a 3.5.

My friend and I had lunch here on a Thursday afternoon. It was a little hard finding the restaurant because there is a trellis covered in plants in front of the entrance. Once located and inside, we were quickly greeted and offered our choice of tables. Menus and water followed. We each ordered off the lunch menu. There were 23 items to choose from. I ordered the Pad Woon Sen (glass noodles and vegetables.) My friend ordered the Mixed Vegetables Stir-Fried. Hers came with a small salad and a scoop of rice. Mine was just the entree. The glass noodle dish was very tasty. For payment they have an electronic payment device. My friend wanted a paper receipt for record keeping but nothing came out, I guess they didn't have a roll of paper in the device.

Authentic Thai foods packed with goodness and spice. Ordered the Papaya Salad ( Lao ) which is spicy hot ( medium ) and fish sauce /citrus dressing. Warning: It has a kick! Soup was flavorful & satisfying. Fried soft shell was breaded and deep fried and was so nice to see on menu. Staff friendly and everything was brought to table efficiently. Restaurant plenty of tables, and nice Thai decor touches.

    Best green curry!

I have to have the Green Curry every few weeks! My husband likes the pineapple fried rice. Eat in for infused water and great service.

Ask the Community - Rose Garden

    Are there gluten free options?

some of them are gluten free. The waitress will recommend to you if you would like gluten free :)

Are there any Keto/low carb options on the menu? We try to keep our meals under 10 carbs total so sweet sauces used in cooking can be a problem...

Probably not, because you have to watch out for sugars and most of the dishes do have a sauce. But I heard curry and some stir fry without rice or noodles is ok for Keto. I would do some research to be sure or even ask what they use in dishes you…

    Does this business use MSG?

No. It is stated prominently on the menu at the front of the restaurant.

The alligator meat was soft and not chewy or dry and "tastes like chicken." You literally cannot tell the difference by look and taste. Texturally, the meat has a slightly more chew to it than chicken, but other than that 99%+ people would not know the difference. Other dishes we had were: Pad See You (beef), Mango Curry, Tom Kha Soup, Eggplant S'il Vous Plait and Papaya Salad. Everything was delicious! Service: Great! Waitress was very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and refill our water without asking. She also came by when it was the last call before the kitchen closed to see if we wanted to order other dishes or desserts. The place serves authentic Thai dishes and it is best to share family style if you come with several people so that you can experience more dishes. Started with a Sake "Mohito". It was very good. Mild flavor and not crazy strong. I nursed it throughout my entire meal. The Fresh Spring Rolls were as the name advertised. Vegetarian with tofu inside. Interesting thing is that it was served with two sauces, but the traditional peanut sauce but also a Thai Sweet Chili sauce. I decided to combine both sauces onto my Spring Rolls. Surprisingly, the two sauces complemented each other pretty well. The Yellow Curry was smooth and thick (not watery like some places). Rich is flavor. I can probably just eat some plain rice with just the curry sauce and I would be happy. It's that good. The Crispy Chicken with Ginger Rice was a crowd favorite as well. The chicken itself was solid but pretty standard. The ginger rice added a unique flavor to the dish. I've never had ginger rice at a restaurant before. We also had a stir fry dish that was composed of asparagus and a protein of your choice. We chose chicken. It was also solid but not as unique as the other two entrees we had. Unfortunately the entrees were subpar. There was just no flavor to the dishes I had to ask for sauces and chili oil to try to make it taste better. The fried chicken was very crispy but again there was no seasoning it just tasted like oil. After eating we waited about 20 minutes for our check. The other wait staff would go to their table and directly leave. No one checked on us after we asked for sauces for the food. I had to get up and go inside to ask for to go containers and had to wait even longer for the check although I asked for both at the same time. I also had to ask repeatedly for the Togo order and was left waiting on that then waited even longer with the waitress never coming back for the check. I had to end up walking inside and paying with a random person at the counter. This totaled over a 40 minute wait with my family eventually leaving with the kids and me waiting to box our food and pay because it was taking so long which is unacceptable. Unfortunately with the overall flavor issues and the lack of customer service I won't be back.

We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.

Come early or you'll likely not get to have what you're eyeing on. When: Saturday dinner at 5pm (came when they were opening door) What: Chicken satay, pork satay, beef satay, seafood laksa, hainanese chicken rice, fried spring roll Experience: Superb food!! It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! (I also paid using the online services, but I did see someone paying in person.) I was drawn to Bazar Eatery when I saw they had Laksa; I ordered the Seafood Laksa. Ever since I had it in Singapore, I've been hoping to find somewhere that serves this soup. It was nice to find somewhere that serves it, but it doesn't compare to the flavor of the laksa I had in Singapore. (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.
