The lady that works in here is super friendly. I love the way you can order from your phone and the order goes through right away. I really loved the flavor of the pangsit goreng it's a great appetizer. I'd get it as a meal and order egg rolls too next time. The lamb sataay had great flavor. The chicken rendeng was okay not my cup of tea but the rice was really good.

I love SE Asian cuisine. Indonesian, Singaporean, Thai... Thats why I love this place. Fried chicken - Crispy outside juicy and flavorful inside. Laksa - legit. Flavor is really good and authentic. I love the noodle texture. Beef tripe stir fry noodle - My favorite dish of all. The flavor is so good, again excellent noodle texture. Hainan chicken rice - I didn't try it, the person who did said it's average. Fried rice - I like the beef better than shrimp but I forgot how good or bad they were. Didn't have too much. Fried curry wonton - I actually thought it was very interesting. Flavorful curry inside the fried wonton. People love it, I'm ok.

We were in the area and picked this place to have lunch here, and it did not disappoint! Ambiance: 5/5 It is located next to a supermarket. The restaurant looks small but it's actually spacious inside! The inside is decorated very nicely, and bathroom was clean. Service: 5/5 Staff were incredibly nice, polite, and efficient. They were so so sweet too. Food: 4/5 Laksa noodle soup - Mild spiciness! Coconut-flavored broth was soooo tasty, and the noodles were cooked really well. Chicken noodle soup - Broth was light and tasty. I personally loved the taste of lemongrass, and the chicken was so tender!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This little hole in the wall is so pretty and clean inside!! They are constantly moving keeping the place clean and ready for the next guest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the chicken laksa, beef, lamb, and chicken satay, and the nasi goreng beef. Oh! And I can't forget the pangsit goreng. Those were excellent! I could go just to eat those! Super flavorful, the insides were tender with a nice little crunch. The satays were all delicious! The lemon grass was paired nicely with the peanuts... I liked them all with the different meats! The beef rice (nasi goreng beef ) was so good! I would order that again for sure! The chicken laksa was good, the flavor reminded me of pad thai, it was good. All in all a delicious spot!

Barzar Eatery is a hidden gem in Vacaville serving Southeast Asian cuisine. With so few places offering Indonesian, Malaysian, or Singaporean food in the area, it's such a treat to have Barzar around! This was my second visit with my first was back in 2024. I still remember how excited I was to see Laksa on the menu back then, and it did not disappoint. On this trip, I ordered the shrimp mee goreng and beef rendang, and both dishes were amazing! The mee goreng had that perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors with a nice smoky wok hei. The beef rendang was rich and tender, pairing perfectly with the turmeric rice. Also a bonus is you're served yummy shrimp chips after ordering!! My group and I loved everything so much, we're already looking forward to our next visit. One thing that's been consistently great on both visits is the service. Food was served quickly! Also, the hostess, possibly the owner, is so warm and attentive, checking in on every table with genuine care and enthusiasm.

I have been wanting to try Indonesian food for the longest time & finally had the chance to at Barzar Eatery. Went with the Beef Rendang, Beef Satay, Pangsit Goreng, Shrimp Fried Rice, & Ayam Fried Chicken. Everything was very good. My favorites were the Beef Rendang & Beef Satay. The Beef Satay was probably the best Satay i've ever had & the rendang was nice and tender and paired well rice. Very friendly hostess and all the food came out hella fast! Highly recommend. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.

The foods good! The service is good! Only one waitress but she's really fast and always happy to serve. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They keep the place clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They serve two of my favorite indo dish so I always get that, Rendang and Soto. Wife also enjoys laksa Enak banget!

My son and I met here for lunch, eager to try Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian cuisine for the very first time--and what a fantastic introduction it was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we walked in, Barzar Eatery made a great impression. The space is fresh, modern, warm, and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted immediately, shown to our table, and found ordering easy with both a QR code and a photo menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with soft bossa nova covers playing in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was exceptional. Our server was genuinely pleasant and attentive throughout our visit. She seemed to truly enjoy her job--I caught her humming to herself, and I could have sworn she skipped back toward the front counter at one point. Her positive energy added to the overall experience. We started with the Pangsit Goreng appetizer, which was delicious. For our main dishes, we shared the Beef Rendang, Beef Tripe Mee Goreng (spicy), and Beef Nasi Goreng. Every dish was packed with rich, layered flavors and cooked beautifully. The Beef Rendang in particular was incredibly tender and memorable. My son also enjoyed a refreshing Kumquat Sparkling Drink that paired perfectly with the meal. We lingered for a couple of hours, enjoying each other's company, catching up, and savoring some truly outstanding food. During our visit, we noticed a steady stream of families dining in and customers picking up takeout--a good sign that this place is already building a loyal following. If you've been curious about Singaporean, Malaysian, or Indonesian cuisine, Barzar Eatery is absolutely worth a visit. We left impressed and are already looking forward to coming back.

I arrived close to closing @230pm so I didn't wait long for a table ( approximately 10tables). But after I received my dishes, I can see the place easily filling up! Food was tasty, fresh and well portioned! I ordered the follow dishes: 1)Shrimp Laksa (Malaysian), coconut broth w/ spices was so comforting w/ generous amount of prawns ( w/head. 2) Mee-Goreng (Singaporean) w/ the shrimp-paste and sweet -savory soy sauce taste and w/ bit of spicy made the noodle experience so satisfying! 3) Beef Rendang ( Malaysian) rich and creamy beef stew! Meat was tender and enjoyed it w/ white rice ( arrived too late for tumeric rice ). Overall first -experience: Staff were friendly and efficient; always checking-in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's cozy and comfortable dine-in made eating a Malaysian ( and SouthEast Asian) cuisine quite memorable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Having grown up in Indonesia, I have a high standard when it comes to Indonesian food. It's not often that I find dishes in restaurants that truly compare to what I enjoyed back home. That's why I was pleasantly surprised by the food at this restaurant--it was delicious. We started with complimentary prawn chips. While the texture was a bit unusual--denser and grittier than the light, airy chips I'm used to--the flavor was still spot on. We also ordered the pangsit goreng, which was just okay. I wasn't a fan of the subtle curry flavor in the filling--it didn't quite work for me. For my main entrée, I ordered the seafood laksa which came with thin rice noodles, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The shrimp coconut broth was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. The bowl included three jumbo prawns, which were tasty but still had their shells on, making it a bit inconvenient to peel them. It also came with fish cakes and tofu puffs, which added great texture and variety. Overall, this noodle soup was absolutely delicious--I would 100% order it again next time I'm in the area. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, and although I'd heard that service here can be slow, that wasn't our experience--our food arrived fairly quickly. The ambiance was another highlight. The restaurant was fully air-conditioned, which was perfect on a hot day like today. Inside, it was clean, well-maintained, and had a tidy, welcoming feel.

Came here after a day trip in Davis, and was fortunate to get a seat right away. The restaurant space is small, so I saw that seating filled up quickly. Service was great, and the owner is a friendly lady who runs the whole show. You get complimentary shrimp chips upon seating, and I tried the Laksa and Beef Rendang. The Beef Rendang was very flavorful and the turmeric rice is a must-have. I did notice they ran out and had to serve white rice later on, so go there early. The laksa was also good with a bit of spice, so be aware of that. Overall a decent place if you're in the area and craving Southeast Asian food.

Wow!! This restaurant has been open for a bit. We saw the rave reviews and decided to finally try it. It's AMAZING! While the dishes are things we are unfamiliar with, we are familiar with delicious food. There is a lady who has been there both times for our visits. She is a real sweetie. She has treated us like VIPs and has spent time talking to families with little kids making everyone feel welcome. The food. My goodness. It is really something special. We've been twice and have tried different things. Both times, we have been delighted by our selections. I think vegetarians could find plenty to eat here. I can't remember everything we have eaten there. I remember trying Beef Rendang, Hainanese Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice and Veggie Stir Fry. I think there is something there for everyone. If you are adventurous, you must try this place. Truly unique! We've eaten at the restaurant twice. Though it looks like you order at the counter, if you want to eat in, the lady will come take your order at the table. It's been busy each visit, but there is plenty of seating and we have never had to wait. Cute decor, delicious food and attentive service!

There are not too many authentic Malaysia food nearby, Barzar Eatery is an outstanding restaurant. This was the first time we tried there despite they opened for 2 years. We tried a few of their popular items- satay, rendang chicken and laksa. They were all very delicious. All items were little spicy tho so be prepared for that. They also gave us complimentary shrimp chips! Yum. I love the chicken dishes since the chicken were tender and juicy. Laksa was good portion with seafood like shrimps, clam, fish cake, quail eggs, tofu! The soup tasted so good!!! Will definitely go back to try more dishes.

I was skeptical when the server took my order without writing it down. I paid and said I'd come back to pick it up since it was going to take 15-30 min. When my husband and I came back after 30 min, the server told us she FORGOT one of the four items we ordered so she didn't make it yet. Very unprofessional. Let's talk about the food. I'm indonesian who grew up here in the US and even I know this is not good Indonesian food. The beef dish that they call rendang is NOT rendang. It doesn't even have the taste of rendang. We also ordered ayam sambal sereh which came with two sad overcooked chicken breasts. The topping had lemongrass in it, which made it somewhat interesting but it was not pleasant to eat the overcooked chicken. What's ironic is that this was the order that they forgot and had to make last minute. I would not recommend this place to anyone interested in trying Indonesian food. This is not Indonesian food.

There were some photos, but it wasn't entirely intuitive which option to select. Little One got the kids' meal, noodle with soup, for $8. There are two kinds of noodles. One is more like a Ramen and the other one is more like a rice vermicelli. Little One said he liked the thick noodles better than the thin noodles. Both noodle types were okay, but not exceptional. It came with a bowl of piping hot broth. The broth has a mild flavor with some fried onion bits, more like a regular Ramen broth versus Pho broth. It is quite salty, and not very greasy or unctuous. Not a lot of depth of flavor. We didn't want to drink it by itself and ended up throwing out about half of it. It is not spicy, but you can get a small tub of chili sauce on the side. I got the Combo B ($16), which is like a sampler platter with a tiny bit of noodles (2 types), a tub of hot broth, 2 meatball skewers, 1 fried won ton. Little one said the fried wonton was really good. The meatballs were definitely the star of the show. They were not too chewy, very tasty, and had a slightly spicy glaze. Hmmm...maybe there's an error on the menu, but it says I was supposed to get 3 meatball skewers?? The people working at this food truck were extremely nice and friendly. The food came out very quickly. They apparently run some promotions, so it would be a good idea to follow them on social media if you're looking for deals. Overall, it seemed the grilled items were better than the noodle soups. The amount of food was not that much, but that is to be expected from food trucks. Be sure to check your order before leaving.

Well, a friend also recommend it as they live in town. Small town, most places do close pretty early. I think they closed around 8pm when we arrived. They were able to accommodate my group last minute. It was Thursday, the farmers market was going on out front and the place was pretty mellow. Inside, it was mellow but once you were in the back patio, it was pretty lively. It's where they seated us. First time also trying Burmese food. Menu did have a lot of dishes that are pretty much similar to the other southeast asian dishes. Pretty much the seasonings varies here and there. Service was great from start to finish as everyone was very sweet and friendly. Constantly checking in on us to make sure that everything was taken care of. Food wise, we started off with some of their starter. Burmese chicken wings and added fries. The seasoning was quite nice and tasty. Tossed with fries, onions, bell peppers and garlic bits. Quite tasty. Shrimp basket, classic fried shrimp in rice paper. Just like an egg roll. They were quite nice and tasty. Crispy pork belly, marinated pork belly served with a tamarind sauce. The nice crunch and sweet sauce were all great together. Entrees, a mixture of everything to share. The spicy noodles which were pretty much similar to pad Thai. Stir fry noodles with bell peppers, onions, green onions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, peanuts and adorned with shredded cabbage. Perry much their version of pad Thai. It was good but a little too sweet for my liking. Burmese style chicken biryani, slow cooked chicken thighs and drumsticks marinated in butter, yogurt, masala, ginger and served with biryani rice. That was a meal in its own. Tasty with the sauce and the chicken literally fell off the bone. Basil chili beef was quite nice. The flavors were really good and the beef was tender. Fiery pork was a recommendation from the waiter which was also a nice dish. Stir fry tofu with pork, red onion, bell peppers, string beans, garlic and a house special soy sauce. Tasty dish as well. Lastly the chicken red curry. Slow cooked with potatoes, onions, Marsala, paprika in a rich sauce. Served with steamed rice. It was good but the other dishes outshine it. We did like the food. Very similar to a lot of other Asian dishes but their version and take on it. Pretty much similar but change it up with the spices. Service was great and the place was nice. Glad we got a table on the patio versus inside.
