A family member of mine brought cookies from this bakery, and I was absolutely blown away at how their raspberry jam filling in their sprinkle dipped cookies was so potent and delicious. Their cookies have a beautiful zest and kick to it, unlike other bakeries where you get cookies and you really just don't taste much. This bakery was a staple in the area. Since the new owners took over, quality is way down. The hazelnut cookies (formerly my fave) are now inedible. I asked for certain Italian pastries. The Chinese girl working the counter did not know what I was talking about. Won't be back. read more

We were in the neighborhood running errands and we decided to check out this local bakery. The bakery did not have many items available so we decided to try the cannoli and linzer cookie. The staff was so nice to us and personally made fresh cannolis in front of us. The price is a little on the high end but they have to survive. The preparation and packaging was well done. When we came home and tried the cannoli and we were not impressed. Then we tried the linzer cookie and we were still not impressed. We loved the service in this neighborhood spot but personally we have had better cannolis and linzer cookies so despite the unmemorable food experience, we do not regret support this small and local business. If you're in the neighborhood, you should stop by this spot and support. I'm reading the review posts and I may even swing by one of these days and order a sforgliatelle and maybe fresh bread. read more

La Bella Bakery never disappoints! It's my go-to bakery since it's so close to my house and I love how convenient it is to stop in and pick up some dessert treats on my way out to an event or party. People at the party are always inevitably impressed and ask what bakery I bought from. I've bought cakes, rainbow cookies, apple turnovers, cannoli, napoleon, profiteroles, bread, and more - everything is always fresh and tasty as can be. Lastly, the staff here are lovely. Well bought bread, cake, cookies as I do EVERY Sunday til now, its getting tired of either throwing everything away not to be bothered trying to return because it turns into a hassel. This bakery is phenomenal. It is little quaint, cozy bakery with friendly staff and great italian cookies and pasteries. The sforgliatelle is the best, with pinenut cookies a close second. Get a box and fill them with a big assortment of cookies, and surprise the family. Goes great with family game night, bridge night, etc. read more

COOKIES, many of them, and reasonably priced. Every so often, I get a craving for rainbow cookies which can be pretty pricey depending on where you get them. I like to forgo all the dry, flavorless cookies and go straight for the goods. However, those goods do not come cheap. I have paid up to 18 dollars a pound (yes, I am not kidding) at other bakeries in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rainbows at La Bella were only 10 a pound. Quite reasonable. The cake was a little fluffier than I prefer, but on the pro side, that meant more cookies for my money. Despite the fluffiness, there was a rich almond flavor in the cake & a generous slathering of apricot jam in between layers. I also picked up a linzer tart which was delicious, too. All in all, I would come here for cookies, but not cakes. I hardly saw any cakes, just mountains of cookies and loaves of bread. For parking there is a very small lot in the front. I suggest parking behind the bakery in the neighborhood for less stress. read more

There are only two things I ever buy from La Bella, Sfogliatelle and semolina Bread, and they both are amazing! I usually pilfer a three color cookie or two from the fridge while the girls are assembling my order. Thankfully they have a tip jar! read more

My wife purchased this cake today for my mother's birthday. She asked the girl to write " HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM" on it. Upon opening the box at home it looked like a 4 year old had written on the cake. Unfortunately we could not get another cake because it was too late in the evening. In addition to the horrible writing the cake tasted like there was pounds of sugar in it, almost inedible. We have gone to this bakery before and their stuff was usually good. Not returning any time soon. read more

I actually have a bakery in walking distance that everyone raves about, but I find that the cakes at La Bella are very good and they too are very reasonably priced. Whenever I have to pick up a cake for a special occasion or to celebrate a co-workers birthday La Bella is my go to place. read more

The baked goods are awesome! Fresh baked bread is the way to go. But some the the younger female staff members are more rude than pleasant. Not a fan at all but what the bakery has to offer food wise keeps my and I family going there. read more

I was so disappointed with this bakery. I ordered a red velvet birthday cake and the cake tasted stale like it had been made way too far in advance. Their cookies are delicious & reasonably priced. I have had their whipped cream cakes, which are pure whipped cream. A whipped cream lover can tell if it is 100% whipped cream & not mixed with other ingredients. I loved their yellow cake with a lemon filling & whipped cream exterior. I ordered my son's birthday cake from here, and they totally botched the order. When they showed it to me at the pickup time it was vanilla, and I had ordered chocolate. Mistakes happen, I understand that. The manager's response was what was beyond disappointing. He just shurgged his shoulders and said he could make another one, but it would take hours. I was on the way to his party, so that wasn't an option. He then told me he had trouble reading the order and the girl who took it said she thought she wrote vanilla (he should have called me to clarify). It's been a few months and they did nothing to rectify the situation, but had no problem cashing my check....Besides for the poor business etiquette the cake was ok.
