I have been to this restaurant twice in the last month. The service was excellent. The Bolognese Ribbons were great. Next, I had an outstanding, Veal piccata. Match that with my favorite Canadian whiskey, it was wonderful. Bobby Hitz the manager is warm, and very welcoming. The waiter who I did not get his name was just as kind as could be. The food was decent, and service was good, for that, 3 stars. The baked ziti was good, and the chicken parm was good as well-definitely shareable meals! Rachel was our waitress and was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. There were some red flags that made us a little uncomfortable. The place was PACKED. We are all for loosening the covid restrictions but this was full capacity, people on top of each other spacing which was too much for our comfort. We ended up not finishing dinner/ordering dessert just because we felt it wasn't safe. The hostess was unprofessionally dressed for this quality and type of establishment. She had a black leather skirt which was very short, and a very very low cut v neck top that showed A LOT of skin. I could almost feel her own discomfort for what she was wearing as she kept adjusting herself. We ordered the baked clams, and they were fantastic. However, one of mine had this really strange, dark grey sandy pocket that the entire clam meat was covered in. I've had hundreds of clams and have never seen that. When I asked the bus guy about it before he grabbed the plate, I asked if he knew or could ask the chef.... is response was abrupt: "that's the color of the shell.".... it was not the color of the shell, it was a liquidy pocket the clam meat was in and colored as. I felt a little more communication could have been had, and that my concerns about what I was eating could have been acknowledged further. read more

Can I choose zero star? We went to this Lemont branch to put in an advanced order for the cheesecake, like a week ago! The staff took in our order to be picked up the night before Thanksgiving. Yes, this is our Thanksgiving dessert (supposed to be). We went there 6:30PM Of Nov 23 as scheduled... surprise... they did not put in our order. No cheesecake! This was the second time I had a meal at Rosebud Italian restaurant in Lemont. The second time was to enjoy a meal for my birthday. Unfortunately it was a disappointment to the endth degree. The service was satisfactory but not great. Staffing for a Monday 5pm dinner was limited. There were only two table servers for the entire restaurant. Spread too thin. I had ordered the special porterhouse 24 once steak which was fine but nothing special. ($70) The steak didn't include a salad or potato. I could've bought a prime cut and made at home. We had also ordered a bottle of wine which was highway robbery. DaVinci Chianti that costed $50. You can get this same bottle at the local store for $16.00. What a dupe. It seemed everything was al a carte. Between the wife who ordered the special Sea Bass and myself the bill for dinner ran $219.00. Live and learn. Definitely not worth the dining experience. Don't think I'll be going back at anytime soon. Other places close to my residence would have provided a better meal at reasonable prices without the downtown city costs. Apparently they charge because of their famous name and not their food.... This place is a pass unless you can afford the higher prices and don't care. read more

We had a 7:30 reservation on Saturday night, for a party of 6. We waited at the bar for more than 30 minutes. The bar was crowded and very noisy because of the band. The manager, who may have been intoxicated based upon his appearance and demeanor, started to clear a table in the bar. I politely told him that we preferred to sit in either dining room, because the band was so loud that you could not carry on a conversation. 15 additional minutes later, at 8:15, we had grown impatient. One of our party told the manager that the restaurant had overbooked. The Manager's response was to insult the customer. We quietly elected to leave. While waiting for the valet to retrieve our cars, the manager followed us outside and continued to berate us. He went so far as to tell us that we were BANNED from the restaurant! The owners should possibly get the manager either anger management counseling or substance abuse counseling, or maybe both. read more

Just went to rosebud lemont to celebrate New Year's Eve. I had the brick chicken and my wife had the chicken Parmesian. Our server Tammy was excellent. She was knowledgeable and informed. The food was excellent and served in large portions. We did not get dessert, but I would definitely get dessert next time. I thought the prices were reasonable. Dinner for 2 was 115 + tip. The rosebud had a valet required on new years. The only negative of the place is that navigating to the bathroom from the dining area with a walker was difficult. The restaurant could be more handicapped accessible. I recommend the rosebud to anyone. read more

Went to the Lemont location for my husband's birthday and met some friends on a Saturday night. While we had reservations, we still had to wait for a seat for an additional 20 minutes, which left us standing for that time as there really is no lobby. While the food was excellent, the noise level in the dining room was intolerable. We had a table for four, and we literally had to yell at each other if we wanted to talk. We had to move our seats close to one another to hear each other, and even then it was still hard to hear. Even worse, they had a band start playing in the bar, which made any talking that much more impossible. Unfortunately, we left right after eating dinner, forgoing dessert or coffee, as it just was not a relaxing experience. I normally don't like to review restaurants. My wife just left dinner here. I'm utterly confused. While having dinner , live entertainment began. Not soft , background music or singing but pure event type singing and music. Could not possibly hold any type of conversation with my wife. We actually resorted to texting each other. Our food was pretty good but nothing remotely near quality to get us to come back. Our waiter was very attentive even though he was handling a large amount of tables. I asked him why there would be such loud entertainment for a dinner restaurant and he rolled his eyes and responded that we are not the only ones to complain. We have been here in the past. The food and service have never been a problem. Last evening 2/4/23 , the four of us had met for dinner. Two of us ordered salmon. It was terrible. It was not prepared correctly , and the veggies were so scarce the Plate looked empty. Sothen the fun started. A disc jockey shows up. He sets up his equipment and starts to annoy the entire restaurant with this disgusting noise from his very very poor equipment. I asked my server , if they enjoy this noise. The response I receivedsaidthe entire staffhates when this guy shows up. I watched people leaving. The GM claims the disc jockey is his friend. All four of us decided that rosebud needs us more than we need them. So keep you salmon and your entertainment. We definitely will not be back. read more

Let me start by saying I've been here a few times the latest being last night with my family. We started with calamari, shrimp scampi and the stuffed mushrooms. All very tasty. Let me tell you I had the Sea bass special with risotto - it was the absolute BEST sea bass I have ever had & I truly mean that. Cooked to absolute perfection. Husband had the lamb chop special with risotto, he very much enjoyed that. Cooked well, to his liking, seasoned well. My dad had veal parm & sister/bro both had (chicken) pasta - cooked perfectly Tony our waiter was very nice. YES the place can get pretty loud, older crowd might not like that. But don't let it detour you from stopping by this gem! My husband and I dine out a lot (more before pandemic of course) and I pride myself on my Yelp & open table reviews. Which I do religiously. Reading the reviews on this place is so very disappointing. People would rather leave a 1-3 star review saying their food wasn't cooked properly or it's like Olive Garden or something was just OK, rather than giving the restaurant a chance to CORRECT whatever the issues are WHILE YOU ARE AT THE RESTAURANT. Come on people - don't leave establishments crappy reviews when you don't even bring up issues to management. Don't run to social media and talk badly when there is a pandemic going on. Sure these platforms are for honest opinions but giving a restaurant a chance to correct mistakes while you are dining makes more sense than bashing them on review websites. My wife and I celebrated our 50th Wedding anniversary at Rosebud in Lemont. Our server, Tammy, couldn't have been nicer. She was very attentive to our order and provided the best service we have ever received at a restaurant. We order an amazing chopped salad which contained a variety of veggies. Had dinner on Friday 5/26. Was perfect. Band was amazing. Fred and Friends. A local favorite. As wife an daughter were finishing drinks at bar, I went to valet to get car pulled up. Five minutes went to get car for wife and daughter . Car was pulled up close by. On going to the car, the valet said out loud. "What? No Tip Sir?" Of course I tripped over myself to give him $5.00 and apologized as best I could. My wife generally does all of the tipping. Being in the service business, I should add that we are in the class of overtippers. It was embarassing for me and certainly for Rosebud. The food, service and entertainment was great. Totally! AVOID. This restaurant is NOT following COVID regulations. None of the tables are properly spaced and we were sat extremely close to two other tables. By the time we left the restaurant, all of the tables in the dining room were filled and not spaced out. On top of that, several employees were not wearing their masks properly, either pulled down or not covering their noses. Our waitress had her mask only covering her mouth (entire nose exposed) the entire time she served us and she continued to touch and move her mask constantly. On top of all of this, the food was extremely bland and overpriced. Our bread was stale. I've been to two other Rosebud locations, which I've both loved, so I have something to compare this location to. And, the service was terrible and so slow. I would avoid this place big time - we've been to several restaurants since indoor dining opened back up and to see how irresponsible this place is being with COVID just made us so uncomfortable. We honestly should have just walked out the door once they sat us where they did. Add in the bland, over priced food and poor service? Hard pass. We will never be back. read more

Not sure if I'd recommend the Rosebud in Lemont. Prices keep going up on their food items and drinks. I went there to see a great Sinatra entertainer on Friday night, the bar was packed, and people were dancing. The singer was awesome! What I didn't like was the manager kept going up to take the mic from the singer because he wanted to sing. He stinks! It seemed a little rude of him and everyone just seemed to have to go along since he's a big guy in charge. Our server was good and the food was decent. Mixed feelings. read more
