Amazing Italian food and atmosphere. My wife and I cannot stop talking about this restaurant. Its our favorite weekly spot. Reminds us of our many trips to Italy. Meatballs are my favorite, pizzas thin crust - tasty sauce full of flavor, many different pasta sauces to choose from and the seafood is imported fresh, which I love. Always a great experience with the staff and owner Joe. We love to sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook and smell the different aromas. Horrible pizza.I ordered online and went to pick up. When Inarrived the pizza was not ready. I waited 15 minutes. When the pizza was ready Inshoild have opened the box in the restaurant....it was burnt and cold. It looked like it had been sitting around. Very,very disappointed. Arrived at RSW, called from the Uber for a pizza and salad delivery, told to go on line. Could not get the app to work on an I Phone. Got home, went on line , put in the order, paid, told delivery in 45 minutes. An hour and a half later, called Rosedale, told it was "on the way". Never notified on a delivery, found the food on the side walk outside our condo the next morning. Went to Rosedale, the waitperson said a "third party" does delivery (Door Dash) it was not their problem. "A stranger picks up the food, once it's out the door, it's not our problem". The restaurant is named after a section of Queens, NY, and I assume that's where they recruit their staff. Unhelpful, a little surly, with the New York " ...so go someplace else...". Told to call Door Dash in California. Incidentally, the pizza is mediocre at best, so why the NY attitude? I guess if your are used to Olive Garden, you believe Joe Arato's NY hype... Food is simply over priced paid 75 dollars for 3 pizzas that are all 12 inches. Pizza is super soggy with all around bad taste. Tastes like a watered down Costco pizza tossed around old butter. Staff was kind that's the only reason they can receive a single star. I'm convinced they just go over to Costco buy some pizzas roll them out toss them in old butter microwave it and quadruple the price. I have never cared to write a review on food but this I had to. Bleh. Have been here before and thought the food was good enough despite being fairly bland. Decided to give it another try due to the convenient location, but boy do I wish that I hadn't. Food was even more bland than before, and this time the service was deplorable too. From servers fixing their pony tails right in the middle of the restaurant to servers letting patrons touch their muscles b/c they're a "trainer", we saw it all and then some in the hour we were there. Spoiler alert! We are crossing this off our list of Italian restaurants to eat in. We arrived in mid-afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. We were the only customers. My wife mentioned that she wanted some coffee. The hostess said, you know that this isn't part of Starbuck's, don't you? It went downhill from there. We were seated at a table of their choosing, and it was quite small. We ordered our coffee and soda. We each decided to have a cup of pasta fagioli. When it was brought out, it was lukewarm, not steaming, as it should have been. We sent it back. They obviously just put it in a microwave to heat it up. We should have walked out then and there. We didn't. We ate it. It was so-so, not bad, not really good. We ordered a Bruschetta pizza. A mistake. The crust was pre-made, heavy and burned. It was piled high with chopped tomatoes. The chicken, which we expected would be grilled, was just chopped chicken parmigiana. Naples has far too many Italian restaurants, and all of them are better than this one. On the spectrum from gourmet to crap, this was definitely crap. Never again! Next time, we'll go to the Açaí Bowl next door. read more

Great food, loved the presentation and delivery of food. Showed Groupon voucher to the server before we ordered. Bill came, we brought it to the register and she swiped the card. Before signing it, we wanted to make sure to account for her full priced tip, so we checked the receipt and realized it didn't reflect the Groupon. We brought this to her attention and were astounded by her response. That she "didn't have it" and we were supposed to show it to her (again). I've worked in food service and know it's 100% the responsibility of the server to make note and follow up. She begrudgingly adjusted it. We were disappointed that it was "our fault." read more

Came here on a recommendation from my wife's hairdresser and was expecting a typical pizza joint. While they do have great brick oven pizza, they also have an extensive Italian menu. My wife had the veal francais with penne pasta. It was tender and perfectly cooked. I had the white clam which was outstanding. Our waitress, Alli, was gracious, knowledgeable and very efficient. The restrooms were clean; parking was plentiful and the atmosphere was just right. The only downside was there was no cappuccino as the machine was broken. This place is a hidden gem. read more

Happy Hour is a rip-off! Rosedale has great food and the service has been excellent. We go there every week and occasionally more often that once in a week. The reason for the mediocre review is that their happy hour is a rip-off. We were there a few days ago and got the happy hour caprese and received 3 servings instead of 5. That's 40% less food and the discount was $2.05 off $11 (18.6% discount). The same occurred with the two orders of toasted raviolis. Two of them instead of three (33% less food) for 18.6% discount in price. Plenty of restaurants reduce the portion size when they discount appetizers for happy hour. BUT, THEY MAKE IT CRYSTAL CLEAR IN THE MENU AND THEY USUALLY MAKE THE DISCOUNT AND REDUCTION IN PORTION SIZE PROPORTIONAL. They don't screw the customer. There's no way to sugar coat this. One of my favorite restaurants in Naples is dishonest. This simply isn't good business practice no matter how you spin it. BAD, BAD, BAD. We will continue to go to Rosedale but we will spend more time and money at Tony Sacco's and Giovanni's. Their happy hours are much better. read more

Second visit to Rosedale for the outstanding pizza. Makes me homesick for New York. The servers are always friendly and more than accommodating. Drinks refilled and politely check up on the meal. The pizza crust is extraordinary, light and crispy not too thick or thin, just perfect. All toppings are fresh and not over done so you can taste everything. The sauce itself tastes like tomato not a lot of additives. Can't wait till our next visit. Have gone back to Rosedale many times since my review. Tried many items on the menu and food is always fresh of high quality and prepared perfectly. Wait staff is always friendly and helpful with the menu. New happy hour menu cannot be beat. Situated next to a Starbucks this NY style restaurant was not a disappointment. Greeted by the owner at the door and our party of 6 was seated right away. It was a Sunday night and the place was jumping. The bread and oil they put on the table was warm fresh and delicious. We had a variety of food from pizza, salad, calzones, and pasta. Tried this based on some fellow yep reviews and wow was blown away. From the excellent service received by Emily to the delicious food this is a gem not to be missed. We had New York pizza, penne ala vodka, pats fagioli soup Caesar salad and a kids pasta. Everything was excellent. I consider myself to be pretty pizza savvy and would give the pizza high marks. If back through the area would definitely only do again. The complimentary rolls with oil were excellent as well. This is a nice casual restaurant with caring staff and delicious food. We use to live here two years ago and recently moved back. We were anxious to try Rosedale out again. We use to love going there. We decided on pickup, because we just didn't want go in. Our daughter who recently moved here, had heard us talking about how good it was and was also excited about trying it. We ordered online, but I never received a confirmation email. Our daughter called to make sure the order actually been taken. The restaurant at first couldn't find the order, but finally found it. My husband arrived to pick it up. Guess what, they again lost it, after searching, they found it. We had requested a double order of rolls, we received 4 hard, cold rolls. The food was not up our expectations either. Someone needs to check their tastebuds! We tried two different pizzas.... both without any flavor; also had order of meat lasagna and vegetarian lasagna..... HORRIBLE!! Not hot, no flavor, and over baked. The sauce had no herbs in it.. just a terrible red sauce! Now let's talk about service... we were told there would be 15 minute wait... took half hour. When we asked if we could sit in front booths, we were told they were for parties of more than 4... and yet 5 minutes after we were seated, guess what.. seated 4 people in each booth. Had to wait additional 15 minutes to give our order to a waitress who was clearly in back up /meltdown! I visit Naples every summer and my first stop is always Rosedale since they opened! The best sausage and pepperoni pizza-so thin and tasty. The MISTA salad is my favorite thing to share. Rosedale is cozy little Italian restaurant. Service was friendly. We ordered three different pizza's and the carbonara. The pizza's were delicous all with fresh ingredients. The dipping bread is homemade and melts in your mouth. I'll be back to try more dishes. It has limited seating and they do not take reservations. Seriously, get the wings, but ask for the lemon wings, the way they did it when they opened, you need to stress the LEMON to the wings because zombie 'who-cares' waitress has zero care for your want or need as a customer, the servers here are horrendous... My parents claim there is a great server that works at night, but in this place, you have a better shot at finding Bigfoot to give you better attention. Used to come here a lot to support the local biz people, but Jo & Joe seemed not to care, so any 'these guys are great hosts' are clearly written by their friends... they are grumps, their servers are bottom of the barrel, pizza soggy... but good wings when done right! I give 3 stars because there's a guy in the kitchen, wears a NY hat all the time (Giants or Yankees) who is above & beyond a great host, welcomes people while the waitress caught at the door, who is stuck greeting you, stares blankly...., NY hat guy says good-bye, while the staff & owners just stare blankly as customers come & go... By far the best pizza we've had in SW Florida. Delicious thin crust pizza, crispy and slightly blackened on the bottom like a real pizzeria..to us. My only complaint is the portion size. I found out the hard way they don't offer small medium or large. I ordered two 'large' pizzas to feed 3 grown men and arrived to 2 alarmingly puny, personal sized pizzas. It's a good thing we ordered apps and antipasti. If only the daft girl over the phone had cared to take the time to tell me that there is only one size when I clearly asked for 'large' we probably would have ordered another one to feed everybody. Oh well. Other than that one discrepancy I will certainly be back because of the quality alone. we may have to try the tiramisu as well. read more

I was in Naples, FL for a couple of days but I usually spend every summer in Naples, Italy. You could only imagine the standards I have for pizza, pasta, and italian food. This place had easy parking, we got seated very quickly, the food was very good, and it wasn't super fancy. I was able to get a table with an outlet so I could charge my phone during the meal, they were playing the original little rascals on a small tv by the bar, and the waitress was very good. For an appetizer we got the pasta fagoli. It was very good and very authentic. also priced well. For the main course we got a shrimp rigatoni with mushrooms and spinach as well as ordering a pizza. The pasta dish was pretty traditional and tested very good. The shrimp were full of flavor and the sauce was nice... the pasta itself wasn't top quality though. The pizza we ordered (you shouldn't even review this place without trying the pizza) was the bomb dot com. It was the most authentic pizzas outside of italy. Very good mozzarella, prosciutto crudo, parmesan cheese, and greens. the sauce was delicious and the dough was just soft enough to have to be folded as to not fall over (the way it should be). In italy you mainly eat pizza and almost every other food with a fork and knife but we folded the pizza and it stayed for the couple of massive bites I was attacking it with. It seemed to be like a regular bar with take out pizzas with the other half of the place as a restaurant. I have to take a point off though for the pasta itself and the waitress/specials board for never telling us the price of the pasta dish (23 dollars!!) - that's something that should have been told. All in all it was 50 dollars with tip and I was full of very good authentic food and my cell phone was charged in the process. a little upset about the lack of price disclosure but really they were doing italian food the right way! read more

No crumbles here, just juicy chunks of Italian sausage and cheese topped with onion and fresh mushrooms, delicious! We were looking for a quick dinner close to the Naples Grande. This place is about a mile away and other yelpers seem to love it. We were seated immediately and our server quickly appeared. The fresh baked garlic rolls suitable for olive oil and pepper dipping are always a good treat. The house and Caesar side salads were well prepared.
