Purchased some items for Altitude Sickness for my spouse. I hope they work, and Jade, who was super helpful and knowledgeable, says a lot of the altitude Sickness herbs are sold and they work very well. This is probably the best herb shop I've been in. It's amazing, smells even more amazing, and there is an enormous selection of teas. They carry some Dr Bronner's items, some soaps, the list is endless. Jade was just so helpful, personable, and professional. She answered all my (stupid) questions haha, I'm not from around here so I needed to know if the bee pollen will be beneficial taken outside of the Ruidoso bee pollen area. The staff here are so warm and welcoming! I came here because I had a swollen eye and wasn't sure if it was allergies or not but it just wouldn't go away! Jade recommended some possible solutions and now it's completely gone! I went there a second time and received more great health and wellness information and some goodies. We stumbled across Rosemary's Herb shop while on vacation in Ruidoso, and it is packed wall to wall with tasty tea leaf blends (please try the Strawberry Green tea, it's amazing!) They even make lotion bars! I am crazy for those, you have to check them out. They smell amazing, and look like a bar of soap, but it's a bar of lotion (it's in my photo, Arizona Rain is my favorite, vanilla is also amazing. They do have an unscented version too). They have a huge selection of loose tea, tinctures, capsules, trinkets, vitamins, you name it. My daughter's lips were severely chapped, cracked and bleeding a little, and I had tried everything to heal them (coconut oil, castor, honey, etc.), with no luck. The woman helping us, Jade (definitely the most awesome chick in that town!), showed us a cream that they make there, called the Everything Cream-and it's just that! I put it on my daughters lips that night (they were so cracked they bled a little), and by the next morning they were 70% healed. Two more applications that day, and they were totally back to normal.I wish I had taken a before and after photo, it's miraculous. My hands were cracked and they got cut up a few times when we were hiking, and I used the cream on them, the difference was amazing. They felt better immediately, stopped hurting, and healed up in two days. Probably would have healed faster..but I wash them a lot... Anyway, the cream is something I won't do without, and I stopped to buy another one on our way out of town. I am so glad Jade was there! I have anxiety attacks, and I don't take pharma junk so I try to cope naturally, but it was an especially-especially-especially bad day. She recommended the passionflower tea, and even offered to make me a cup on the spot. I was short on time, so I took a couple of passionflower capsules instead, and they worked so well. They even quelled my carsickness, which was a pleasant bonus considering the five hour drive! The shop also brews a 'tea of the day', for you to sample. You can buy small samples or larger amounts of and of the loose teas, and just a few herb capsules, or a lot! Very cool place, a must visit if you are into natural stuff. And if you aren't, try it anyway, you might find something you like! And a shout out to kindhearted Jade-thank you. Your kindness was much appreciated. If everyone was a thoughtful as you, the world would indeed be a better place for all of us. read more

Extensive selection of teas, spices, salts, and dry herbs. Having relocated from ABQ where I worked at The Herb Store, I am thankful to have a local source for essential oils and bulk herbs. I love going in here just for the aroma. There are some nice salts to cook with and they carry Chinese herbal medicine, if you're looking for that. Staff are always pleasant, if a bit quiet, but it's a serene and pleasant place to poke around and find a new favorite tea. I'm glad to have this resource in our community. A treasure! Delightful, surprisingly knowledgeable staff -- I've been helped by at least four ladies besides Rosemary, and all have known their stuff. Rosemary is awesome -- amazing fund of information, compassionate, gentle -- truly worth meeting. Store is spotless, well organized, and often very busy -- best to go when you're not in a rush, because every shopper in front of you needs time for their questions to be heard and their herbs to be measured out. read more
