I looove the room I'm hooked up in--desk, chair, wall outlet, tucked away from the register & espresso machines, free Wi-Fi & the ability to have amazing coffee while I work. Just stopped in here and Thomas (the new guy, apparently) offered me a friendly and nice customer experience. I wasn't worried about not having latte art since the milk was steamed to a proper temperature and espresso pulled nicely. The espresso itself complimented the milk in my macchiato nicely, although a bit darker than I personally enjoy. The drink was still enjoyable. My only word of advice to the owners would be to keep your staff knowledgeable on what's in your "proprietary" blend. Although, it's not the end of the world to not know, us coffee nerds out there get a little disheartened and worried when it's made of mysterious ingredients. Other than that, I like what you guys are doing in town. Maybe two more things, the artwork and the red theater chairs are a little strange. read more

This is a great, little coffee shop in downtown Livermore! Their drip coffee is consistently good (never burnt) and their specialty drinks are great, as well. Their staff are always friendly, and bonus - we often times leave with coffee grounds for our garden! Great addition to downtown! read more

There is a moment right after I sip their Americano (12 oz. to go cup, 4 shots, usually decaf with room) that everything around me stops. Love that flavor and aftertaste. It's really easy to connect with the owners/baristas. I've had great service here. Pastries have gotten fresher and better since they opened. I stay and work often, both solo and staff meetings, so the addition of the meeting room has been very helpful. Minimal decor is comfortable/classy. Then they do a great job with seasonal decorating, especially Halloween. The only drawback here is that they have temperature control problems. They added screens to shield the afternoon summer sun. It gets toasty! The screens helped. I can imagine what it's like behind the bar around the warm machines. But in the early morning and evening even when it's cool, they have the fans going even in the back where most of the seating is. After I've sat for a bit, with a jacket and hot drink, I still shiver. I have often left sooner than I needed because of the hot/cold problem. When I stay a while, I do get up to buy a second drink - to support the business and because I want it :) read more

WIFI is shut off from 8:30-11:30am so don't expect to work from here. They said their was too many people working from their tables. Why they would discourage people on laptops while drinking their coffee and eating their food, makes no sense to me. Great local, family run coffee shop. First, they put forth a quality cup of coffee. Consistent in the taste and to me that is important. Next, the staff is always very friendly. They greet you with a smile and are knowledgeable on the process. The establishment itself is exceptionally roomy with multiple sitting areas and good lighting throughout. Lastly, and to me one of the best parts, is the music they have typically playing. They constantly rotate between jazz and classic stations. While the music is not overwhelming in decibel level, it compliments the entire feel the shop is attempting to achieve in a rather fitting manner. It is a really good place to relax and maybe get some work done too! It has the 'working on your laptop' coffee shop vibe. The food and drinks all are great and I definitely have gone back many times. It's more of a sit down place than a get your meal and go like Starbucks. The one thing that I really like most about this place is that if you get tea, you get a small pot and a timer telling you how long it needs to steep. I just got back from Espresso Rosetta, been wanting to go for a long time so my FIRST time here. I am disappointed and dissatisfied as I ordered a Orange Latte-Large (they have 2 Large options. 1 looks like a Grande size at Starbucks & other is like a Venti) and it tasted like a plain Latte. No orange flavor at all and I paid $6.90 for it, pretty expensive. I cannot call to let them know since I realized I was not even offered a receipt and I paid cash so it ends up being my loss. This place keeps finding more ways to kick out their customers. Changed closing times from 8pm to 4pm on weekdays. Took out seating so you have to stand while waiting for your coffee. Changed out rectangle tables for circle tables so you have less room for laptop/binders/books if you wanted to sit down and get work done. Seats seem to be purposefully uncomfortable. And now they put a 60min limit on wifi that you can only get with a receipt code. If I stay there longer than an hour, I feel pressure to leave. Such a shame because this used to be my favorite coffee shop. I've probably given them $200+ worth of my business yet I feel unwelcome due to all of these changes that they think regulars won't mind/notice. I will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

I'm disappointed. I went in one morning before work to try their mocha. I asked for a small soy mocha. The employee asked if I wanted something bigger because the small is only 8 oz. I said no, because the small already had 2 espresso shots. The employee then asked if I wanted to add a sweetener because their chocolate isn't sweet. I said ok, you can do a shot of raspberry syrup. The employee then asked another 2 times if I wanted a bigger size. I eventually said fine. I ended up getting my "mocha" which tasted just like soy and syrup. It tasted nothing like espresso and tasted bland. I'm disappointed because I felt that the whole ordering process was confusing and that the employee was just pushing me to order more. I really wanted to support this business but, the drink wasn't good, and I ended up going to get stronger coffee since this drink just tasted like steamed milk. read more

I cannot express how much I enjoy this place. The owners and the employees are amazing. I enjoy that it is local family owned and the product is quality. During Christmas I bought one of their gift sets which was a perfect gift for my tea and coffee loving friends. The one drink that we love the most is the Nicco! I've been here a few times now and have always been impressed. Their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The interior of the place is light and relaxing, it makes you want to just sit down and read a book or chat with friends. Their lattes are rich, creamy, and delicious every time. Perfect balance so they are actually not overly sweet. It's so refreshing to have a nice local place I can walk to with great coffee! Terrible customer service! Came here with my daughter & grandson, ordered a bagel and two coffee drinks, they have two areas they put your order out at. We did not realize this and kept waiting for our order & I finally asked if they had a bagel ready...the gal said its over there! She made a face as she said this. When I brought it back to our table I asked my daughter " do they put the food orders on the other side? She said yeah i guess. We continued to wait for our coffee orders where it seemed everyone else was getting there order....after like 15-20 minutes i again asked " hey do you have our lattes ready?" ....the gal says with a disgusted look on her face they are over there! ( same place our elusive bagel ended up! So weird because everyone else's order was on the other side. When I got my latte it was Luke warm...i said to the gal " I'm confused why were our orders put here? She said we have two areas we put our orders out at. When I said to her " I am confused...she got very irritated & said its not that confusing!! No apology at all Please!!!! Whoever owns this establishment Can you tell your employees to A) take a name ...that would be so much better than yelling out random coffee orders with no name. I am a bit of a coffee snob, and usually do not drink coffee outside of my home unless it is at a boutique, non-chain shop. My very first Americana was shortly after they opened and I was hooked. I do not visit as often as I wish, but always buy coffee by the lb when their for home (It is good at home, but soooo much better when they make it). The owners are fun and friendly and their staff seem to enjoy what they do. I have only had a pastry a couple of times which were fresh and unique. I now buy giftcards for my clients, for my employees, and my my family members. All small cities deserve a small locally owned coffee shop. Shop small business =) read more
