I used to go to the Bristol location all the time when I was little, but it's been over a decade,…read moreand what a mistake it was to wait that long. Amazing!!!! Friendly staff, well staffed (which is not something you see too often nowadays). I love the more modern feel, and of course the faint Frankie statue. The food was amazing, restaurant was clean, plenty of seating. My boyfriend got a hot dog with peppers and onions with steak fries. I got a grilled cheese and curly fries(same as I used to get a child lol, I was feeling nostalgic) He also got a soda and I got a water, all of this for around $22-23 About the same price (maybe a few dollars more) if we had gone to a regular fast food chain, but def worth the extra money. Plus I always love supporting a local business. It was also great to see they even had some of the old arcade games to play for free, I wanted to play but didn't, because all I'm thinking of is people eating with their hands and then touching the controls with unclean hands, maybe it's just the post covid era Only recommendation I have would be to have a hand sanitizer near the game. Such an amazing place!

Geez, this had to be the worst visit ever at Frankie's…read more Here the place was hopping, people were happy, was it me? Met a friend here for a quick bite to eat. My friend ordered a cheeseburger, the small one, with lettuce and tomato on it, along with I think a lemonade I took a chance on the special which was loaded french fries. Steak fries with cheese whiz, bacon bits, sour cream and a little bit of chives. I also ordered a Pepsi. The bill came to $22 and change for the two of us. Keep that in mind as I further write. The cheeseburger, the quarter pound one, included one little little slice of lettuce and a very thin slice of tomato. The beef on the cheeseburger looked gray, and pink inside like it wasn't even cooked up to temperature. This was absolutely gross, served on a non toasted Sesame seed roll. He thought it was awful. He ate half of it. Now for my loaded french fries.... The french fries were so soggy , that if they didn't look like french fries they could be mistaken for mashed potatoes, loaded with an extremely salty cheese whiz, and what looked like bacon bits instead of natural bacon on top, chives, and sour cream. It would've been nice if there was chili on this instead, but nope. For $7.99, the serving was extremely small, probably good for a six-year-old. Barely edible, I ate about a quarter of it and just pushed it aside saying I'm done. I can't even imagine the salt content that was in this. I know one thing for sure it was extremely high! This had to be one of the worst things I have ever been served in any restaurant. Stick to the hotdogs as they are safe For the money spent, we would've been better off going to Chili's.

Screwing around in Southington today, I stopped at Saint's to fulfill my hotdog craving…read more Saints was busy with the lunch crowd this Saturday! I ordered the hotdog 10 inch, with mustard, onion, and sauce, in order of onion rings and a Pepsi. After a little bit of a wait because of the lunch rush, my order arrived, and I dug in! The hotdog so flavorful with a snap upon my first bite, and was brilliantly cooked on the flat top, stuffed inside a perfectly grilled New England style hotdog roll. The char on the outside of the roll was a masterpiece. The meat sauce was perfect, with a kind of gravy texture, just the right amount of flavor, one of the best hotdog sauces in my opinion for Connecticut. The white onions accompanied this masterpiece placed upon the hotdog and the yellow mustard. This has to be one of the most perfect hotdogs with toppings in Connecticut. I love coming here for their hotdog. This 10 inch was priced at I think $4.59 with the mustard onion and sauce. I think that's a pretty good deal. The onion rings were restaurant supply chain delivered type I think. They didn't look like they were homemade. They were crispy, but not seasoned. After a little bit of salt, I still didn't like the flavor that much so I added ketchup, which I never do. And the flavor came through. All washed down with a perfect Pepsi, I really enjoyed my lunch. Three different waitresses took care of me, which I didn't mind. They were all polite and attentive. See you soon Saint's, thanks for the great lunch!

My wife and I went here twice for the Tuesday Special, A Two-foot dog, Fries and Soda…read more On our visits we were greeted by happy employees. They made us feel welcome and were very helpful to us newbies. Our orders were taken and we were explained the process. Most of the condiments are self-serve. Both times I had the chili, yellow mustard and onions. My wife had Cole Slaw on her first one and Sauerkraut and mustard the second week. We made quite the mess but enjoyed the food. The hot dogs are very tasty and cooked just the way I we like them, a little char but not burnt. We had to cut the dogs into quarters and the rolls held up fine. The chili, while it tastes good is a little bland and my wife would have liked a little more flavor in the Sauerkraut too. The order of fries is large, hot and crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The store is a nostalgic walk into the past with retro fixtures, tables and decorations. It's fun to read the 45's that line the walls while enjoying these dogs. The dogs are a novelty and are good enough to come back for. They have an extensive menu and I'm tempted to try the other offerings but the Two-Foot dogs always call me back.

Located at the course - but open to the public - this hotdog stand offers delicious food, friendly staff, and beautiful views. We opted for the special burger and it was the best burger I have had in a while. Cooked to a beautiful juicy medium, with toppings that just worked well together. Delicious. We also got the hotdog trio, regular, kielbasa, and hot. Just to try them all. While fairly basic at first there are a variety of toppings to chose from to make the very tasty basics your perfect bite. For me it was the hot with homemade hot relish and onions. Outside was slightly dirty, but the view of the course was pretty. Opted for a smattering of dogs (kielbasa, spicy dog, and plain dog), a bacon jam blue cheese burger, and a brownie for dessert. Food came out after a wait, but we got ketchup and took turns taking bites. The burger was the best bite. good quality beef, strong blue cheese and sweet n salty bacon jam was quite nice. The blue cheese was a bit strong, but I like punchy flavors. The fries were not bad, pretty good bagged fries. The dogs, well they were alright. Not great buns, dogs were of a decent quality, but the kielbasa was too sweet and the spicy dog was only lightly hot. As a lunch place, it does well enough. The burger and fries were worth the price of admission. The dogs were kind of weak, and there dogs need to be of a better quality. But they are still not bad, just not great.

The only minor issue was that my salad never arrived with the rest of the meal, and I had to flag her down to let her know. It was a little strange receiving the salad after I'd already finished my hot entrée. That said, she was working incredibly hard under difficult circumstances. There was a large party that decided to split their checks at the last minute, and she appeared to be handling much of the workload on her own for a while. We were seated outside, and the wind was so strong that it blew my glass of water right into my lap. She noticed immediately and rushed over with napkins, which I really appreciated. She also went out of her way to find a wine chiller for our bottle, which was a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Despite a small hiccup with the salad, the service was friendly and attentive, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would gladly return.
