The tour guide even called ahead and told them that we would be there early. Our dinner choices had been called in advance. When we arrived there was only one waitress to try to serve 54 people. Apparently the two other waitresses did not show up for work. After two and a half hours most of our people had not received their food yet. We were on a time schedule for the bus driver. About half of our group were senior citizens. Some of them were diabetics. If the tavern was having problems they should have notified the tour operator and tried to make adjustments for the meals. If you only have a few people for dinner I'm sure it would have been a completely different situation. My wife and I ordered chicken Alfredo , it looked like watered down Mac and cheese with a few pieces of chicken mixed together.

However, it was a good value at a total of $12-something. The cash price was a bit lower than if paying by credit card. While I had hoped to get some work done, I felt distracted because the restaurant was clearly getting ready to close. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Just packed up my laptop and left. Would I return? Maybe. It just wasn't the leisurely meal I had anticipated given my arrival so close to closing and there was nothing that would make me want to rush back. About 10-20 minutes later, she walked back to the table, clearly flustered, and asked "okay, what do you guys want to order?" To which we replied that she had already taken our order. She looked blankly at our table, and said "who, me? Or someone else?" It was genuinely concerning. At this point, we've been at the diner for about 30 minutes, finally have drinks, but no food. When she finally returns with a tray full of food, the order is correct, but, lo and behold, the eggs on BOTH Benedict's are essentially hard boiled, and to top it off, there were bits of egg shells throughout the dishes.
