My wife and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary here Tuesday night. We started our evening by sharing a lettuce wedge salad. It comes with Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, cucumber, chives, Bleu Cheese crumbles, bacon, and buttermilk dressing. FANTASTIC !!!! Then we both ordered the Creole Pasta for our main course. It comes with chicken, Andouille Sausage, shrimp, grilled vegetables, Cajun cream sauce, and penne noodles. FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS !!! And for dessert we shared a hot fudge blondie brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with a generous mound of fresh whipped cream. UNBELIEVABLE !!! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the cool summer night. Our waitress was wonderful and very entertaining. The prices are a little more here, but the food is worth every penny. We came for casual dinner date and we thought this was a perfect place! We had truffle fries as a starters - solid. We love our entrees: braised short rib and chicken florentine- this was special and rich. I love the place and ambiance. I think the best place to sit is outdoor patio when the weather is nice. Our kids took us to lunch here today as it's our last day in town. She said it would be healthy and tasty and she was right. I had the Buddha bowl with grilled salmon added, this thing is huge! We should have split it honestly. Tons of veggies, chickpeas, quinoa, and even sweet potato, with a balsamic vinaigrette, and the salmon cooked perfectly. I would definitely order this again. I really don't know how much everything cost because they grabbed the bill before I could catch it. 8.8.26 went on Saturday for a late lunch. Hadn't been here before. Lots of things on the menu looked good. Hubs had a salmon sandwich with fries, and I had the traditional eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes, which were good but not a large portion. Solid experience. It was our first time and Blake was phenomenal at providing service for me, my toddler, and mother. The wedge salad was probably my favorite thing that I ordered. The wings were fine - I probably would've liked another flavor more. Blake mentioned buffalo, but my elderly mother is sensitive to heat. My mother tried the biscuits and gravy and enjoyed it, except the potatoes. I had the shrimp and grits - it was a little runny for my taste and the grits didn't really have any flavor. It would've been nice to have a heartier grits texture with the soupier shrimp mixture. It was like a bowl of soup. My 3 year old had the kids steak with saffron rice and broccoli. Celebrated my stepdaughter's birthday here. Cobblestone is one of those restaurants that has charm, coziness and always has quality food and service. In the heart of Zionsville, Cobblestone is a staple. I got the Mediterranean pasta with chicken and it was delicious. When a pasta has pine nuts and feta...sign me up. I'm so happy I got it bc it's not something I would ever make for myself. Ample chicken and great portioned- I would get an again. My youngest ordered the steak and mashed potatoes off the kids menu and he RAVED about the mashed potatoes. He loved the steak as well and it was a good portion size for a 9 year old. My other son got the fried chicken and left absolutely nothing on the plate. Ate. It. Up. Same with my husband. Nothing was left behind. I got the mocktail Panoma and it was definitely grapefruit heavy but refreshing. Not overly tart. We ordered three bread puddings and they were all different sizes. That was my only...not issue...but standout. Overall it was once again a great meal with great great service. Visited on a Friday late afternoon/early evening, several tables were occupied but was impressed at how relaxing the atmosphere was. Service was very good, attentive but not pushy. Ordered the pecan crusted Brie as an appetizer, grilled salmon, Chilean sea bass and fried perch as mains. Finished with a blonde brownie. Brie looked wonderful, but for the price was a little disappointed that it came with crackers and not toasted bread. When we dug in we found the crust to be well toasted but the cheese was barely melted around the edges and cold in the middle, another disappointment. Mains came out after somewhat of a wait, although we were a little early for dinner. All mains looked wonderful, but came up short. Salmon was overcooked and dry, perch came out on top of the slaw making the bottom very soggy and cold while making the slaw hot. Sea bass was under cooked in the thickest part, although the risotto croquet underneath was phenomenal. This is one of those ratings "for the price". One appetizer, three mains, one desert and two drinks for each person came to $250 with tip. We expect better execution for this price level. read more

What a lovely staff. On this day I just order to go which was super easy. Called up placed my ordered and picked up. When placing my order the young lady over the phone was so pleasant and helpful. We decided on Cajun wings and a Short Beef Rib Sandwich! Wow both were spectacular. We shared. The wings were perfectly grilled and seasoned with a dry rub! Great job! I wanted to try a new restaurant for my belated birthday and I got a recommendation from a friend. I decided to gey the chicken fried chicken with green beans and potato croquette. It was fried to perfection and the wine sauce was fantastic. Our server, Michael, was attentive and told us about different entrée on the menu. The restaurant itself intimate and cozy with a bar area. The restaurant and restrooms are handicap accessible. As far its parking there is street parking and parking lots. Popped in for lunch yesterday and we were amazed! We sat on the patio which was quiet and cozy. I absolutely loved enjoying my meal next to the beautiful tulips outside. We didn't catch our server's name, but he was wonderful! He recommended the Cuban Reuben and it most certainly did not disappoint! It Was my first time to cobblestone in Zionsville, what a beautiful ambience! We had a party of four and we were seated promptly Upon arrival. I had the Seabass with mushroom risotto. Came for dinner while visiting for the holidays. It was busy! The menu is pretty varied, I wouldn't be able to easily classify one cuisine. Food was just okay, and not one I'd go out of my way for. That being said, we did have the churros which was served with this ice cream - Sundae's Graham ice cream - and it was to die for. I would legit come back just for a scoop of this ice cream. Kent offered to find us a better table without us asking, but we opted for a table near their beautiful bar. We had martinis and beer. Their bartender makes the best martinis in town and the beer selection is extensive. I tried something new....the Shrimp and Grits, which is a new twist on a classic meal. The plate comes packed with shrimp, plus three large roasted shrimp, the spicy creole sauce is thick, creamy and amazing. On the side is a lovely grit/spinach cake. My husband had his go-to favorite Sun King Beer Battered Whitefish sandwich with truffle fries. The fish is fresh with a fluffy batter. The fries were delicious. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful with dinner selection. We made same day reservations, which helped to guarantee a table. We went early and found close parking, which can be a bear in Zionsville. The dining room has an energy in the evening with people laughing and talking. The building is historic and beautiful. My husband has tried the fish and chips, which were plentiful and tasty. He has also ordered the tenderloin. Although, it is not the typical flattened version, he commented that it was good. This is a cute little place and we could tell the locals love it so we decided to give it a try. Our waiter Christian was attentive and courteous. She ordered Chips N Salsa with Mahi Tacos. Don't order the Chips N Salsa. The chips were nothing special and lacked flavor. The salsas appeared to be fresh and looked delicious however neither of them had any flavor at all. Completely bland. The Mahi tacos were just ok. They required quite a bit of lime juice and needed some spice. Mahi was quite dry. My Tortilla Salad was fresh. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and probably my favorite part of the meal. However the salad lacked flavor. Again it needed salt, spice and acid. I used a half a lime to kick it up a bit and that helped but it needed salt and hot sauce or a more flavorful pico de gallo to make it shine. I wouldn't say don't come here because it was filling up when we left so it must be pretty good. Just being honest about our experience. Our first visit and just lucky to find they are celebrating their 25th anniversary with special menu items. Abby, our server, was on top of things from the 'get go' with great knowledge of the menu and an engaging personality. We started with the Spinach Artichoke dip with pita toast triangles. The dip was great! Pita was okay but we both commented that we would have preferred untoasted or less toasted pita. I'm a sucker for beets so ordered the beet salad with raw/roasted and pickled beets on a bed of greens with apple slices knowing I'd be taking half of it home. The lite dressing was perfect...and will be again tomorrow. Tami chose the Asian salad as her entree and found it to be as delectable as it sounded. I, then, selected the 'anniversary' Red Shrimp ' tastes like lobster'. The shrimp was terrific - perfectly cooked to a toothsome doneness - not overdone. Though it is served with drawn butter, I can't say it closely resembles lobster, but it was great. The chive rice was a bit dry/underwhelming. Asparagus side was crunchy - just as I like it. Tami's side order of 'stuffed baked potato' was just okay. I should mention the impressive drink menu with a very nice wine list (including ports which I resisted), a wide range of beers and a well curated cocktail menu which included some alcohol free selections. After being fully sated, we agreed to 'look at' the dessert menu. I said to Tami, "god help me if they have bread pudding'" which is my culinary crack. (Sigh!) - they had two. Yes, I took one 'to go' and Tami did likewise with a slice of cherry pie from the nearby 'My Sugar Pie' shop. We both got 8oz Filets with stuffed potatoes. He got fruit and I got Broccoli. We both thought the steaks were good. I liked the potato he didn't. Dessert menu wasn't inspiring so we skipped. Visited cobblestone for the first time as a plus one to a work holiday party. They have a great little room in the back which perfectly fit 12 guests. Food was incredible! We tried a variety of appetizers. I had their signature salad which had so much on it and a great dressing. For my main dish I had the Perch and Waffles. I've never seen anything like this on a menu so I had to try. The perch was perfectly crispy and not fishy at all. The waffle was actually like a cornbread waffle with corn, Jalepeno, etc in it. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Early dinner restaurant was empty. Not sure if he was the host or manager, but the guy with was so incredibly rude. I cannot believe anyone would ever visit this establishment. He treated us like idiots, for thinking we were going to come in without a reservation. Come on, dude you're a small little restaurant in Zionsville, Indiana. I am not exaggerating. The restaurant was empty, instead we went to eat at another place nearby and as we walked back to our, because we had parked in front of this restaurant, it was still empty over an hour later. Whoever Mr. Summerteeth is, if he is the hostess and not the manager, I would definitely be looking to replace this dude. You just don't treat people that rudely. Based on your reply- It wasn't this weekend. Nor the weekend of the high school graduation. It was over a month ago. I just never got around to leaving a review. But trust me I didn't forget how badly we were treated for just asking for a table. And then saying nothing more. So good try in defending a person who was beyond rude. A spade is a spade.
