A one and done for us unfortunately. The press has been raging over this place so I suggested a Postmates order in, try something different. So while delivery was lightning fast, the whole thing was a disappointment. His meatball sandwich he said was "fine," "just ok." He did eat it though for some reason he's standing in front of the fridge right now. Hm. My Italian beef, hm, not feelin' it. I'm not a huge eater but for $11, that was a shockingly small sandwich. Much too salty, the meat was mostly chopped fine so the whole thing was mushy, borderline mealy. And for $11, it had better have been the best but no, sadly it was not. The ($2.50!) bag of chips was "dealer's choice" and what we ended up with was an inedible pick. What a waste. Worst of all they forgot our desserts. That sucked. Instead of sending them, Postmates credited the missing items. Boo on Postmates' choice, man. In the end, yeah, nope. Waaay overpriced and not matching the hype. read more

What service! I breezed right past the sign on the door saying it was cash only, and didn't realize until it was too late. I didn't have a debit card, and they let me leave with my lunch under the honor system that i'd return to pay someday (which I did later that day). The employees were very proud to work there and raved about the food and the owner. To top it off, the sammy and soup were deelish. Can't beat service like this place. Best meatball sub I've ever had. I give this one big "Mamma-Mia". Very messy but very delicious. The meatballs are juicy and worth it.

My first visit to Rosie's a few weeks ago was amazing. The Italian sub was PERFECT, and the owner greeted me at the door and he even gave me some sample cannolis as a welcome gesture. I mentioned this place to a few of my coworkers on how amazing this place was and couldn't wait to try it again. I went back for my 2nd visit today and it was completely different than my first experience. The service was acceptable, not as friendly and welcoming as the first visit, but that's okay. What was not okay was the Italian sub I ordered, the bread wasn't fresh, it was kinda stale, and it was dry. No Mayo, no Italian dressing/seasoning, no nothing. They didn't have any chips to go with the sandwich because they ran out. So I felt a bit embarrassed that I recommend this place, because the sandwich was not good. I'm hoping they were just having an "off" day, because the Italian sandwich I had the first time was perfect. read more

This place is great. Good prices, really friendly service and a very satisfying sandwich. I had the vegetarian sandwich with roasted peppers and artichoke, pesto and provolone cheese. It was super flavorful, and juicy. They toasted the sandwich and then added lettuce and tomato so it was fresh and crisp, but the cheese was melty and delicious. The bread was also very tasty and just the right texture. I loved this sandwich. I only ordered veggie because I am pregnant and can't eat cold cuts, but I cannot wait to order a sandwich with meat and have a picnic on square in a few months! This is a super addition to the neighborhood. I wouldn't hate if they had a salad on the menu or if they would serve their sandwich toppings on a bed of lettuce. That would really round out the menu, and seems like it would be an easy add. Similar to how they have the meatball bowl. There is a real dearth of quick, casual, but solid lunch/dinner places in the area and this is definitely going to become a go to. (Especially if they add salads -- HINT HINT, Rosie!). read more

Standard sandwich place. Had the roast beef with turkey and cheese, and the meatball. The meatballs were small, and sauce wasn't to my liking. The roast beef and turkey is standard, which is good. This place is kinda hidden and probably doesn't get a lot of foot traffic. Interior is charming but tiny. I had to pay almost $4 to take out cash from the conveniently located ATM because it's cash only. I was unaware until I paid and handed my card over. The staff didn't speak really. No "hello" when I walked in and was the only person inside and just "are you ready?" before telling me cash only. I got the muffuletta and it was pretty average. The same sandwich at the Mariano's deli is better and tastes fresher. There's not much else around there so I can't really see myself going back but if I do I'd bring cash, try something else, and I wouldn't expect the friendliest of employees. read more

I've been here twice, the first time I got the meatball sandwich and it was pretty good, a little pricey but it was good so whatevs. It took FOREVER (by meatball sandwich standards) to get my food and it was sort of confusing ordering because they asked what I wanted on it and when I said 'Just what it says on the menu' the cashier looked confused and was having trouble putting the order in, I was semi-expecting my order to be wrong when all I wanted was a meatball sandwich. They were friendly but it seemed disorganized. I got an Italian sandwich and it was just OK. I paid $14 for it, so I don't think I'll be going back for that. I would have been just as satisfied going to Jimmy John's and it would have cost about half as much. I think if I do go back it will be to get a picnic basket if I'm having company or another hot sandwich for a game. Over-All pretty solid, don't know that I would go out of my way to suggest it to anyone over a ton of awesome lunch spots in the area. read more

I am a vegan so I cheated and ordered a vegetarian sandwich and now I cannot stop thinking about how good it was. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was simply wonderful! Cheap too! The manager was a very friendly guy who came around the counter just to have conversation with me. I was just telling a friend last week that the one thing I can't find done to my liking in Chicago is a deli sandwich. I am pretty particular, I think the bread to meat ratio needs to be spot on and I want soft bread that won't cut the roof of my mouth. I hadn't found what I was looking for until I tried Rosie's. I got the Trifecta and it was PERFECT! The bread is soft but thick, the perfect amount of meat and soooo flavorful. This is my new spot for sandwiches. The food was good, I had the couch and my boyfriend the Italian beef. It wasn't life-changing but definitely good ingredients. However, there was a "2-person picnic" special that was not mentioned to us, and although we essentially ordered half of what was in thar special, we payed way more. I thought it would've gone a long way if the person at the register had been thoughtful enough to have mentioned that. We ordered two eggplant parm (hot) and an italian (cold) sandwich. The eggplant parm in the eggplant parm sandwich was cold, like straight out of a fridge cold. It was straight up awful! The pickle was not a pickle. It was a slice of cucumber without any flavor. Even supermarket deli sandwiches are better. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood. Both the Italian beef and the meatball sandwich were excellent. The sandwiches weren't super cheap but they were reasonably priced and you should expect to pay a little more for quality. If you disagree, you can go elsewhere for the $5 foot long with questionable meats on weird smelling bread. read more

I drive by this place all the time. After reading the great reviews I finally stopped in today. I ordered three sandwiches, and, as with other customers, wasn't told about the all cash policy until after I ordered - please, put a "cash only" sign on the door or on the counter. I have been in the customer service industry for 40 years - smile, and, at least pretend your having a good day. I am not inclined to go back because 1) I did not feel welcome, 2) I was never even thanked for my business even after spending $40, 3) I did not feel the "Couch sandwich was worth almost $14. It was smashed meatballs with a slice of beef and they forgot the cheese. A shame really. read more

Their muffuletta sandwich is the closest thing to Central Grocery's in NOLA. It's huge and has a great olive tapenade.

Man do I love this place 2 out of 5 times. When I walk there, awesome! When I order from home, fucking nightmare. Last three grub hub orders go a little like this 1) delivered super late 2) got my order wrong and 3) didn't even deliver my food after I dunno, an hour and a half wait. If you're willing to walk to them, during the day, with cash in your hand (cash only because making life hard is what they celebrate) I promise you will love their sandwiches. However, if you act like it's 2019 and order online because you truly want to support the local business, they will probably leave you high and dry, or just fuck your night up somehow. Pretty fucking cool dudes. Can't wait to come in and have a great in person experience next time, clearly ordering is too god damn difficult. I cannot say anything good about this place. I would sum it up as barely Subway quality at JP graziano prices. I got the veggie sandwich and it was stuffed with jarred marinated vegetables. It's clear they have never met a vegetarian if they thought this mix on a sandwich makes sense. If I wanted to pay 11 dollars for a sandwich, jarred vegetables that came from Costco isn't a good look. The final complaint is 3 dollars for the kool aid! Are you crazy? I was disappointed to get there and discover that when no other indication was given outside of the sign on the door after you arrive. New sub shop in Logan. Finally! Great food with really high quality ingredients. I had the Classic Italian which was excellent. The bread always makes a sub and these guys have great bread. Place is really tiny so it probably a great place to come and get take out. The have a cool picnic option which includes everything you need to have a picnic on the Blvd. Should crush it this summer. read more

Sooooo good, and customer service is above and beyond. Funnily enough, I pass by the shop everyday on my way to the gym, hahaha. Was working from home so decided to order it. I had ordered a canoli that didn't come with the sandwhich and called them to just take it off the bill. Instead, they came back and delivered TWO canolis and a can of San Pellegrino.
