This particular Ross is great when you need toys for a kids birthday party. I love coming here and saving a ton. They have a cool arts and craft section that works for birthday gifts as well. The kids shoes are around around $25 which is a little more than I'd expect, but they have brands like Puma, Sketchers, Nautica and more. Their woman's shoes are a bit higher in price than I'd like as well, so just keep that in mind. Customer service is good. They are pretty quick to bring an extra employee to the register if the line gets long. The return process has been easy in the past. Bathrooms are located in the back near the fitting rooms and you need to be buzzed in. They have a water fountain there as well. Store is relatively clean, though it is Ross, so don't expect perfection. read more

This location is clean and easy to get to. They just don't have a good selection like others throughout San Diego. They do have a large toy section but tons of no name brands. If your children aren't picky, then this is the place to visit. Cashiers work quickly and are friendly. I ended up buying a Nerf Gun for my son since he wouldn't stop bothering me to get it against my will... I probably won't be back here again. read more

Below average Ross location, a whole lot of nothing, and still cleared out without any sign of restocking, couldn't find much worth buying but when I did, employees were being stubborn and incompetent towards price tag, saying that I was lying about a $6.99 t shirt, so he proceeded to charge me $12.99 which I refused, so he challenged me if I could find another identical one with the same price tag, he will let me have it, which I found and he couldn't say anything after, can't believe anything they day regarding prices on their system, just have to keep the tag with you all the time and try not to lose it after you went to the fitting room. read more

After a yearlong construction, Escondido finally gets their much needed second Ross location. This Ross has only been only open for two weeks and it's still very clean and well organized. We all know it wont stay this way during the Christmas season lol.... After coming here twice, I'd say this Ross is for convenience as the other Escondido Ross has better overal selection. Think of this as a Ross Express... I came in looking for decor and I'd say that's the one area where this location was lacking. Better options at Home Goods or "At Home". Clothing racks were fully stocked. Small toy selection Unlike the other Escondido Ross, much of the merchandise isn't piled on the floor.. Did North County really need another Ross? Judging the large crowd here I'd say definitely yes. Tip - This is a women focused clothing store. They do have racks for men, but I've never found anything that either looked nice, or had any quality. read more

Fairly new Ross;however, extremely limited inventory. Selection of pretty much everything is scarce. Lots of empty shoe shelves, tacky adult clothes, limited toy selection, limited toddler selection of clothes (especially 2T sizes). This store may get better with new shipments to the store, it's just really lacking in items right now. read more

This Ross isn't any different from any of the other Ross stores when it comes to organization. I was just a little surprised that it already looked so disorganized, like a storm came through while an earthquake was happening. I say I'm surprised, because this store just opened this year (summertime, I think). I really thought that a newer/shinier Ross would be an exception, but I guess it's just the culture and the nature of the business. Not enough staff roaming the floors to put things in order. Lazy customers being lazy. The stock selection here isn't as good as the other Ross stores I've visited thus far. In all honesty, this will not be a location that I frequent. read more

They have no return policy for underwear on little girl's. I almost ate the cash on $10. It's better to go to Walmart where they have a return policy and you will not have to eat the cost of the item, same thing goes with little girl bras. It's better to go with Walmart all over again. Brand new location. The store is a smaller than most Rosses in the area. Therefore the selection is smaller. The dressing room size was nice.It was pretty clean and organized. Pretty busy for a Wednesday afternoon. The greeter security man was pleasant and greeted everyone. Georgina at the cash register was very nice too. read more

El Norte Pky Ross TERRIBLE Management. I visited the store today looking for bar stools. I came across two I figured not bad for $39.99 and for a kids first apartment. Had this BIG ASS Ross Price tag attached to the bottom of one chair and the other had a $59.00 sticker. Two sale associates on the floor were helping me with the adjustment once we got it to work. I asked why the different price. She said let me get the Assistant Manager. She came over and he removed the $39.00 tag off the bottom and gave it to her and told her the customer wants it for this price that was correct that was the only reason I interested. She leaves and come back with this lie she called and spoke with the "Manager" and unfortunately, they are $59.00, and people come in and change stickers. I'm like so you're tell me someone came in removed the bar stool SEAT and put this tag around the base of the chair with the description of this stool. Is it possible that a Ross employee just made this error? I left the stools. I've never been a Ross shopper due to the junkiness of their stores. I stopped in today because I was being cheap. If she had said I can sell you one for $39.00 and the other for $59.00 I may have agreed. Management needs TRAINING! Never again will I step foot Ross. read more

Make sure you CHECK every transaction before you leave this store. These clerks SHORT CHANGE you, in other words, RIP YOU OFF. If you have returns, NEVER let the clerk say "when your done shopping, we'll do the exchange than" GET YOUR MONEY FIRST! Always check your receipts before leaving this store, chances are you most likely have been OVER CHARGED or RIPPED OFF. I've been in there twice and have immediately walked out. The shelves and racks are picked over and nearly empty. I realize that they just opened and there are kinks to iron out but what a disaster. Worst Ross location I have ever been in. Nothing is hung in the right size area and my mother was exchanging a Mother's Day gift but was 2 cents short and they refused to let that slide. My mother is 87 years old and handicapped. We will Never go to that location again. read more

I come in every now and then and mostly have a pleasant experience. They have limited inventory since they are a fairly new store. While i usually don't have any issues, today I went in an had an unpleasant experience with an older Caucasian woman working the fitting room. Her tone when first entering was almost annoyed, which is hard to believe considering fitting room is the easiest job in the store. I had some items I couldn't take inside so I asked if I could leave them with her. She sighed pointed at the floor and said, "just leave them there". I asked if I could leave it somewhere with her as I'm not so unhygienic to just throw my things on the floor. She took my items and threw them in a pile right in front of me. It annoyed me, but at this point I just wanted to get in and out of the store. Went in, tried the clothes and came back out. I'm familiar with the way you're supposed to hang them up for the camera to see and declare what you would be taking as I've shopped numerous times at other locations. I stated that I would be taking a pair of shorts, but that everything else fit too big. In an annoyed tone she told me to hang everything up so she could check them. I smiled and shook my head which seemed to trigger her. She then states, "You don't have to get mad at me for doing my job, and don't forget your things". Amazed at her lack of care and customer service I left. I get that some people have bad days, but it's a damn shame they make a company look bad. The reason for two stars instead of one is because I usually have a good time shopping at Ross/DDs Discounts, given it's not a busy time of the day. Managers and everyone else at this store are friendly I just think they should consider moving her into a less social position, perhaps a stock position? read more
